It's no secret that starbucks is my go-to coffee spot, specifically because of the stars and occasional deals (BOGO Free!). This location is directly across from the Harris Teeter that houses another Starbucks. While I don't prefer one over the other, I come here when I'm on the way to somewhere and need to get a drink. I usually order the drink ahead of time, so I don't have much interaction with baristas, except for when they hand over my drink or ask me what drink I'm waiting for. This location has been busy at times. Even after ordering through the app, I've had to wait for my drink. I haven't had any issues to date with the way they make my drinks...they make it exactly as ordered. There is a small parking lot shared with neighboring stores/restaurants. Wow, you should see the side eye and attitude they serve you with your order when you choose to not tip for a simple sandwich. Interesting drive thru you have there!!! Awkwardly situated in between the parking lot and some current construction, it's not the easiest to locate. I will say unless you have unlimited time the drive thru today was a waste of time. After being in line for fifteen minutes and thankful no one was begins me at about eight cars deep, I went ahead and exited the line and went inside. For the ease of convenience and piece of mind, just go inside. Service was quick and well worth the walk inside. The barista who helped me was very friendly, had good conversation and was just a pleasure to interact with. I should have went inside first which would of totally changed this review, but first impressions are everything right? That drive thru will ruin it all. The inside of this location is beautiful!!! Plenty of seating and exuding with reserve vibes considering it's not a reserve location. It's open, roomy and most of all clean. Foot traffic was heavy the entire time but it did not hinder the production of drinks, from the inside anyway. This rating is more on the quality of drinks on this particular day and not the workers. We did the drive thru on the way to the dog park. We ordered a Chai Tea and a Hot chocolate to go; so we would be warm while we were out playing with the pup in 40 degree weather. The workers were very polite during the ordering process and at the window for pickup. When we got to the dog park and started tasting our drinks I spit my chai tea up. It was so watered down with little to no flavor; it was ridiculous. I pour some out to see consistency and it was very light in color and thin. I gave to my bf to try and he said it tasted like dirty hot water instead of chai tea. He offered me his hot coco instead. (I make hot coco at the house with Milk.) This tasted like they made it with water as well, it was thin and not rich at all. I threw my chai away. Overall we were both very disappointed with our orders this day. read more

I visited the drive thru and was immediately greeted by a cheerful barista and took my order. I'm normally not one to go crazy during pumpkin season but I really like the Starbucks cold brew because it's shockingly smooth so I made the jump and ordered the pumpkin cold foam cold brew. went to this location, on 05/12/2024 at 9 AM, the drive thru line was long, waited for at least 15 mins to place my order, I stated my order clearly and repeated it twice when I noticed that the Indian gentleman had trouble understanding me. Needless to say that they got my order wrong, and when I told him that It was wrong because it clearly was (I asked for a venti, paid for a venti and got a grande); he sighed instead of apologizing. I repeated my order to make sure they get it right the second time and they made my drink with whole milk instead of soy milk; no apologies, another sigh and I was asked to come inside. I parked my car went inside, waited in line, repeated my order and then got another grande. again no apologies, I got a mean stare,I asked to talk to a manager and got someone who clearly isn't a manager and when I explained the situation to him, he stared at me blankly and only managing to say sorry. I left just to avoid creating a scene because of how infuriating this whole experience was. I spent over 40 mins for one drink on a Sunday morning. Super close to my crib -They have a drive-thru and it moves quick -Employees are always friendly -Drinks and baked goods are fresh -Indoor and outdoor seating available -Interior is clean and organized There aren't a whole lot of coffee/tea joints in my neck of the woods. I appreciate that Starbucks exists here. I'm also grateful that they participate in my churches gift card program. I've visited 2x now and had no real complaints, aside from the fact that during my 2nd visit the person taking my order failed to cancel the breakfast sandwich I'd initially asked for, but subsequently cancelled. I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt and blaming the miscommunication on faulty drive thru speaker reception. Went through the drive thru and had a bizarre episode today inwhich I ordered food and was told that the person infront of me paid for my order for some religious reason. I was given the receipt and at first panicked because I noticed that the last 4 digits on the credit card receipt was the same as my AMEX card. I addressed the gentlemen who took my order and he was a bit lost, but his lead was some extremty rude lady who screamed at him trying to get my attention HE NEEDS TO GET OUT OF HERE NOW. I went inside and asked for the manager who was extremely respectful and tried to look up information. He was understanding and I pointed out that young ladies poor attitude and he said he would address it with her. I called AMEX and it was fine it was just a coincidence that the nice person who paid for my order has the same last 4 digits of an AMEX card like me and no fraud was detected. It's been years of this nonsense...they are out of the most basic items like bagels and standard lattes on any given day of the week..I am tired of having to go out of my way to visit other locations when this location can't be bothered to address their supply chain issues. The employees are really nice and the items that they do have (when they can be bothered to have them) are always good...it would just be nice if this location can stop running out of items and I can for once order a complete meal without having to order a substitute or walk away disappointed every time I visit. I becoming more and more disappointed each time I come here. The quality of the drinks just aren't as good as they were before. I'm not sure if they changed the recipe or maybe it's just this location. I ordered a pumpkin spice frap that just tasted like pure sugar. I also ordered a latte one day and it was like sweet tap water. There wasn't any hint of coffee in it. The tea I got also had no taste. Many of my favorite drinks are no longer available too such as the berry sangria herbal tea. On the bright side their customer service is pretty good most of the time. I have been to many Starbucks and this by far was the worst. Staff is not real friendly. It took over 20 minutes to receive a standard order. Roughly 10 people ordered after me and received their orders first. The store is very dirty with dirty tables and trash all over the floor including a popsicle stick, wrappers and stir sticks. It would help if the staff members standing around would grab a broom. Being that this particular Starbucks is in a nice area, I expected more. It appears that this is a management issue. It is not run well based on my experience. I wouldn't even be able to point out the manager because they all act the same. Very disappointed and will not come back due to service and sanitary reasons. I'll get next door to Harris Teeter instead. read more

Decided to take a detour to starbucks while waiting on a friend to finish up an errand. When I got to the starbucks the barista took my order then proceeded to take a personal phone call as she made my drinks. She let the frappuccinos sit for several minutes before placing them on the bar for me to take so they were melted by the time I recieved them. I love it when you get a "Good morning" and a enthusiastic "how are you today?" before 8 a.m. Gotta love friendly service with your cuppa joe. As a medical professional, I also appreciate a clean restroom. Yes, I have a slight germ complex. Caffeine is a diuretic and will indeed press on nature's doorbell - so frequent trips to the loo are common. The barrista was quick and efficient, the cashier was chipper and pleasant and I enjoyed the warm wood and masculine decor. Cushy chairs are an added bonus. The coffee is wet and warm, but price and taste aren't always simpatico. Starbucks and I only shake hands when it's the most convenient caffination destination. Starbucks as a standardized company is pretty decent, and I don't know why I have the same issue with just this location... so here we go. Coffee is great along with service if you go inside. My major complaint is with drive thru. We have a Saturday ritual that takes us thru this Starbucks drive thru and we order breakfast sandwiches and coffee. Every time without fail, they neglect to put any napkins when ordering food, I guess in grand scheme of things not a biggie but it's annoying to never have them. In addition, when I order the sandwiches they come lopsided. When they put them in the bag they are put in vertically so the cheese and all the goodies slide to one side.
