Location, location, location! Traveling up and down highway 5 can be very boring and tiresome, especially if one's starting point is in Northern California and destination is near the other end! This location of Starbucks has been my savior! I get here after about 4 hours of driving from either end and just when I am feeling the need for a caffeine boost, there it is! The folks that work here are very friendly and pleasant, so I usually fill up my to go cup and be on my way in a few minutes or if the weather is pleasant, I take a longer break from driving and stand outside watching the other travelers while I sip on my coffee. read more

Eh. It's an OK Starbucks. They were out of the nitro cold brew today when I went. Lines are long. Folks are crowded around the counter waiting for their orders, making it hard to get to the counter to get your order. Good amount of seating. Busy place since it's on the way to/from norcal and socal. I had some issues redeeming a free drink at the register, but the cashier eventually pushed it through. When I received my dragon drink, it was missing the coconut milk. I didn't want to have to deal with the crowds again though, so just left since I had a long way to go anyway and was short on time. If you care about your drink being made perfectly, this might not be the best place to go. Ok place if you're just looking to grab a beverage to go for the road. read more

very bad service from Emily preparing the drinks. Did not greet me as a customer, chose to ignore the question " do you have a restroom " rolled her eyes at me" when I got my cold brew I asked if I could please add milk and that I would pay for it, as I walked towards the register she rolled her eyes again and told her coworker what I asked for. I then told Angie at the register that she needed to brush up on her customer service skills. I am a daily customer and NEVER experienced this at any Starbucks! read more

I stopped on my way to L.A super excited to get a coffee. I ordered my coffee and as I got to the window, I remembered I had a gift card. I tried to download it on my app and I asked the young lady at the window which one was the security code and she looked at me like I was dumb and said I don't know with attitude. Just an advice to that young lady at the window, try to be more polite, you could have easily asked another employee for help instead of look at me the way you did and giving attitude. Besides the attitude coffee was great! (And by the way, I was the only customer at the moment) read more

I drive between the Bay Area and LA for work and normally stop at this Starbucks. Lately they have remembered me and my drink when I come in which makes it feel more like my usual Starbucks. I appreciate the employees being so friendly and even bothering to remember me and say hello. read more

Disgusting. The women's bathroom has stalls but they keep the front door to it open and not able to close so there is no privacy. The whole restaurant smells like a bathroom and there was feces smeared on the floor in one of the stalls. read more

Stopped here at the ungodly hour of 4:45am after already having been on the road for a few hours, on my way to surprise my sister in the Bay Area. I did not expect anything besides the gas station to be open, so was pleasantly surprised when I noticed that this location was actually open. It happened to be my birthday so I planned on using up my free drink order. I pulled up to the drive thru speaker and the barista was so sweet, especially given the time of day. I was hoping to not have to use the gas station restroom, for obvious reasons, so I asked if the store bathroom was available for customer use. She let me park and opened the door for me to come in. When I came back out my drink was all ready and there was a sweet bday message written on it as well. Made my whole day off to a good start and reminded me that there are still people who do care about customer service! read more

Excellent SB location in such a Truck Stop corner along the 5 Freeway. Visiting them and experiencing great service before 6 am was certainly a pleasant start to the day. The staff work very hard cranking out breakfast items and expresso drinks all the while keeping the drive-thru line moving. read more

My husband and I order the same drinks from every Starbucks we go to. Our drinks from this location were hands down the worst we have ever tasted. They tasted nothing like how our drinks should have tasted. We ended up not drinking them and throwing them away, which was painful considering how expensive Starbucks drinks are these days. I gave them 2 stars for the friendly drive thru barista and speed of order. Our drinks would receive 0 stars if possible. We will not be stopping at this location again despite our driving up and down I-5 at least once a month. read more

My experience at this particular Starbucks was less than ideal and not what I would expect from a world-class brand. We had stopped at this particular Starbucks on our drive back to Oregon and placed our order through the drive-thru - two Venti Iced Caramel Macchiato, one with an extra shot. I had politely informed the team member that I would like straws, an extra cup, and will be using my Starbucks Stars (rewards) to pay for my order. As I was pulling up to the window, my brother told me when the team member repeated the order, it was two Grandes, not Ventis which was my fault for not catching that. However, it was a continuous cycle of mistakes from then on out. I had informed the team member that I would be being with my Stars again but he had charged my account. In addition to that, there was little to no caramel in the drink at all. It was essentially milk and espresso shots. In addition, I had to ask for the straws and extra cup again which normally wouldn't be a big deal (and it still wasn't) but it was the continuous cycle of mistakes. read more

This Temecula Starbucks location didn't have any issues with how I ordered my drink or with giving me almond milk. So weird given the "policy". Good thing is Starbucks corporate gave me an $8 refund to my Starbucks account for my experience at Buttonwillow so this one was on them! Thanks for making it better Starbucks! read more

It feels a bit strange to leave a Yelp review for a megachain, but I've stopped here a few times on the way from LA to San Francisco, and it consistently delivers. The employees are always super friendly and helpful (shout out to Brady who patiently answered all of my questions about the new drinks). The restrooms are clean, (especially impressive for a "pit stop" location) and they have a small lawn out front, which is convenient for traveling with dogs. Most importantly, the drinks are made perfectly, which isn't always a guarantee with some locations. I recommend the cold brew if you're not typically a Starbucks fan. It's much smoother than you'd expect, and not as dark as some of their other roasts. Thanks for making the drive up I-5 a little less miserable! read more

Hands down, the worst Starbucks experience of my life, and makes me believe I will honestly never be visiting another Starbucks again. Has a sign on the door saying you can't come in, but ypu can (a) use the drive-thru, or (b) call a phone number to place an order? Not even use an app? What if I want to see the menu? Out of luck. So we got in the drive-thru lane. The time it took for ONE CAR to move was over 20 minutes. There were another 5 cars in front of me... I'm not going to wait an hour and a half for a coffee. That's absurd. In fact, service appears to be so slow here that the drive-thru line was back out into the street, causing traffic problems. I am so angry right now that Starbucks just wasted a half hour of my life during an already-long 9 hour drive that... screw it. No more Starbucks from here on out. You're dead to me (as if you're burnt coffee, ridiculous prices, and increasingly-stupid menu -- plus being out of all of your ingredients lately -- wasn't enough.) read more

Worse service here. It took 25 minutes to make a decaf coffee? There are 6 people behind the bar and 1 is making coffee with 15 people waiting??? No napkins ? Service counter is dirty and nothing there. The property is dirty floor is dirty. I like to call the health department to come check it! read more

Earlier today I stopped by this Starbucks after a hot day at work in the oilfields. Craving a hibiscus lemonade refresher. I asked for a venti with ICE ON THE SIDE as i normally do. Only thins time when i was handed my drink, it was not filled to the top. I grabbed my drink and walked in the store, i had ordered thru drive thru. I asked the same guy that handed me my drink why it was not filled to the top like i am accustomed too. He responded by saying "you asked for ice on the side so i didnt fill it, if you add the ice it fills to the top" I assured him i always ask for ice on the side and it is always filled to the top. He said "honestly they just always hook you up, this is standard." I asked if that serving was 20oz as the VENTI suggests. He said yes. I measured at home, it was not merely 16oz. DID NOT KNOW LESS THAN 16oz IS STANDARD SERVING FOR A VENTI! read more

Just left. I'm bummed I didn't have cash on me to tip one of the baristas. I'm driving from LA, passing through to NorCal. Props to ANDREA, the barista passing out drinks at the counter. If the manager of this Starbucks location is reading this, she needs a nice Christmas bonus from management! I waited around 10 mins for my drink bc it was crazy busy at this location, but I needed the medicine ball for my sore throat. A few customers in front of me were snappy, asking where their drinks were. She checked on their drinks and smiled the whole time. She kept her cool. Good customer service and my drink was perfect. Welcome to Buttonwillow. After being in the car for 5+ hours, this Starbucks stop is a welcome respite from the methane smell on some stretches of I-5. (ewww Coalinga!) Well, there's no stinky smell here in Bakersfield and even the hot weather feels nice on this dusty stretch of road filled with gas stations and fast food choices. Instead of fast food, we opted for St. Bux. A nice egg sandwich for him and cold mango tea for me. The employees are efficient, although not the friendliest, but I can live with that since this isn't my neighborhood St. Bux. The next St. Bux location after this one is in Kettlemen City, but they don't have Popeye chicken there ;) read more

Do not recommend this location because who knows if they will actually be opened. According to their hours on Yelp that was recently updated a week ago their hours are from 4:30 am to 10 pm. Arrived there today around 9 am and they were closed with a sign on their door saying our hours are from 9:30 am to 10 pm. Thats poor management and in my eyes shows me that this location does not give a damn about their customers. It's not that difficult to update your hours on Yelp so customers don't drive out of their way and waste their time for no reason. I could understand if they were understaffed however their sign states that their hours are 930 to 10 pm everyday with no mention of them being understaffed. read more

This Starbucks is in Buttonwillow! BUTTONWILLOW! That is so cute! +1 star. Besides that, this place is a sight for sore eyes. I was dying and accidentally closing my eyes too many times and possibly sleepdriving until my friend saw this Starbucks on the way from Stockton to Socal. About time. + Samples!! (apple fritters, the below latte, and salted caramel mocha) + Iced Soy Chai latte with pumpkin spice syrup (really sweet but I like sweet) + Cinnamon Dolce frapp + Plenty of tables and couches to sit at The cinnamon dolce is supposed to be a hot drink but it is amazing as a frapp because it tastes like eggnog and I totally approve. Nice Starbucks along the way. I was ecstatic to see it on the way to San Jose in the boonies. I got my gingerbread latte, my toddler had some oatmeal and my husband got his scone what else can a girl ask for? The bathrooms are clean and have multiple stalls and a changing table that my dear earned the extra star. There were no lines for the restroom + coffee + healthy options for kids+ a changing table=5 stars in my book! read more

This Starbucks is not one to deserve a good review. Store is dirty. Bathrooms are filthy. Floors are sticky. Customer service is not served with a smile. I had brought in my travel mug for my coffee drink. The cashier punched in my order & I told her I was redeeming a "reward drink" credit from my Starbucks app. She seemed annoyed because she had to change the type of payment in the register. My cup was sitting on the counter in front of her & she asked me if I wanted my drink in my travel cup. When I said "yes" again, she was not happy to update the register to show I had a reusable cup. I waited about 25 minutes for a cold brew coffee. I know there were about 4 customers in front of me, but it should not take so long. They had the cold brew pre-made in a pitcher in the fridge. The barista proceeded to use a new plastic disposable Starbucks cold drink cup to pour my coffee & then pour into my travel cup. Then she tossed the plastic cup into the trash. What a waste! What is the purpose of telling customers to use reusable cups when Starbucks uses the same amount of disposable cups whether or not customers bring in their own cups! The barista had filled the plastic cup with 1/2 ice. I asked her to take out some ice. She huffed & puffed before scooping out 4 pieces & slid my cup back over to me. Did not get much to drink with so much it. Starbucks had a previous complaint about this that went public. Starbucks said they would be happy to make drinks right. Apparently, this location did not do that! Overall, customer service ranks very low! This location is very dirty! read more

The shift lead Lexi is rude I walked over from the truck stop for a coffee and two other drinks which was 19.00 dollars i forgot my phone I had my license though the cashier tried to ask Lexi if I can still redeem my free whatever it is you get for your birthday she said no and looked at me as if I was ignorant I don't appreciate the attitude and I really don't understand who she thinks she is without truckers there is no Starbucks your really not contributing to society by selling coffee your not special read more

I was really disappointed at this location, I Drive 18 wheeler and I tried to get Service through the drive-through and they would not serve me. I tried to explain to other locations would take my order and then he would give it to me through the front door. Really bad policy here not support truck drivers read more

This is the 1/2 point to charge your Tesla if you are traveling between San Francisco and LA. All those charging station means two things, this place is hoping on a weekend AND the people watching is prime. Sit outside if you need space and be prepared to wait for you coffee and the restroom. One thing to note, it is comfortably cool. Which was nice on the sweltering day we stopped in. read more
