Avoid This Starbucks - Terrible Service & Unsanitary Conditions. If I could give 0 stars, I would. This is the worst Starbucks I have ever been to. I wanted this to be my regular coffee shop as it is close to home, but the store is constantly flooded?? Absolutely disgusting and should be fixed by now.. I can't believe corporate has allowed this to continue. The workers are not friendly and accommodating, there is one that has been really sweet, can't remember her name but she has curly hair and glasses, might start with a K? However, I've seen the manager be rude to her employees. Overall vibe is not good and because of that I can no longer support this store. If you're looking for a relaxing coffee stop or a clean place to sit and work, do yourself a favor and skip this one. There are plenty of other locations nearby that actually care about basic cleanliness and treating customers with respect. read more

Like every other Starbucks in the city. Except this one has a publicly-accessible entrance on the rear side, which grants direct access to the unlocked washrooms to non-customers without having to make awkward guilty eye contact with the counter staff. read more

Came by to grab a coffee. Parking is ample as this is part of a large strip mall. There was a lineup but it wasn't too bad. The shelves were filled with lots of Starbucks goodies. There are 2 cashiers working, which helped speed things up. Not much to say, except my order did come up correctly. I guess the only complaint (if you can call it that) is that they gave us insulating sleeves when the coffee wasn't hot enough to warrant that. Killed a few trees for no reason. read more

Biggest Starbucks in Burnaby so far i've seen. Quite deep, u have to walk in a bit once u enter. Has a cool communal table on the right, like a picnic table. Like how it's connected to the convenience store @ Petro Canada, easy access. and probably the only one i'd recommend for a coffee date. read more

To study here it's a 4/5. It does get noisy and crowded here. Ample seating which is great plus there are 2 washrooms. Open later than other starbucks. Awesome large table in the back. read more

They seem to have removed the outside seating area. When asked if I can bring a chair outside, they said No... and began rambling off some excuse... I walked away and am now having my own tailgate seating session. Not sure why when all the North/West Van, and many Van locations all have outdoor seating. 1 person must've ruined it for EVERYONE by stealing something... so this is the only resort resolution. It's a shame, since it's 5-21-18 @ 3:40pm with 26degC weather. Not everyone wants to sit inside listening to jazz, and hearing people constantly chatter loudly. read more

A comfortable Starbucks! I enjoy this one quite a lot. I love their long table here, as me andy friends come here to study and hang out from time to time. This is actually the only Starbucks closest to SFU after you leave campus. The staff here not as nice as I would have thought though. The staff made my drink wrong, and it was heavier than usual. The foam wasn't up to my standards at all either. The place is kept clean and the staff is very attentive with the garbage and the condiments area. The cream is always filled. This place would have gotten 3.5 stars, but I had to round it up just because it is a Starbucks. read more

Are all Starbucks the same? I think this might be the Starbucks that other Starbucks want to emulate! It's a larger store, with lots of seats, benches down the wall, what I call perch seats so you can sit and watch the world go by if you're by yourself. It was very busy when I visited, a big lineup, though the staff were working their way through the lineup efficiently. It seemed like there were a lot of regulars from the comments going on between customers and baristas. They have a small covered patio. Well worth a visit! read more

Drinks: 3/5 Service: 1/5 Been here three times over a two month period and totally unhappy about my experience. Being an ex-barista, I was totally disappointed and left unhappy about my experience. This will be a long rant as I need to get rid of all these negative feelings stemming from my experience. The first time I went, I had went to pick up a mobile order for a classic chai tea latte and it wasn't until I left that I realized the drink was made wrong, with lightly sweet chai. I knew I could've went back but oh well, this was fine. Second time, drink was fine but when I was ordering at the counter, no greeting nor a smile, the older gentlemen on cashier even made a face when I asked for a coconut milk substitution in my green tea latte. Third time, same cashier, and of course wasn't surprised when I received the same quality of service once again. From beginning to end, no smiles nor greetings from the four, FOUR, baristas behind the counter. Very unwelcoming. Had a terrible incident occur during this visit. I had mistakenly thought that my drink was espresso-based, it was a new drink that had come out recently. I politely asked the girl on bar when she was making my drink to give me only a single shot instead of the reg. amount of shots (double in a grande) and she didn't correct my confusion but immediately accused me of trying to be cheap. She said, "Did you pay for it, if you haven't paid for it, I can't give you any shots". Of course I was confused as I thought it was included in my drink. She went on to say again, "Did you pay for it at the counter? You have to pay for shots, you can't just ask at the bar." She did not try to make any clarifications whatsoever. I immediately realized that there was no espresso in the drink recipe but she went on to say, "next time you want any shots in your drink, you have to pay for it at the counter first." I was with a friend and didn't want to make a fuss; I left feeling extremely offended and embarrassed. By then my drink was made, but I wanted to walk out right then without it because I was so upset. I tried to give this location a chance, but I won't be coming back. I left feeling disgusted and will be telling others not to come. I'm tired of trying to find a decent location, you can go to any other store/restaurant and this kind of service is unacceptable. I'm not surprised that I left working at such a company that can't even provide consistent quality of service. Today, you've lost a customer forever. Heck, I even get better service at a McDonald's. read more

Roomy comfort at its best, enjoyed with caffeine on the side.. Nothing on the menu or in the payscale to differentiate Starbucks back home in west coast Cali.. Wi-fi is free.. No need for passcode or sign-up.. Right across is Safeway and a couple of small shops..and a gigantic parking lot.. Enjoy an evening stroll accompanied by street lights! Despite this being the closest, most convenient Starbucks near my home, i avoid going there. it is always crowded or lined up. The floors and milk/napkin station is usually a mess. The topper is the gentleman behind the counter tries so hard with the friendly banter that he makes mistakes on the food order and on the till. I'd rather go to the sterile Starbucks inside the Safeway across the parking lot - they are friendly enough, efficient and tidy. read more
