This Starbucks is nice because it is a drive-thru one but the line took forever. We learned once we placed our order that the Starbucks coffee machine was down. My husband and I both were getting our tall coffee for Veterans Day. The barista was able to accommodate us with a more expensive coffee (Americano) for free. Every time I come to this location, I order ahead and still wait forever in the lines. I see countless people getting out of their cars and going in-store and leaving faster than someone who ordered 20 mins ago online and is waiting in line to pick up. The service is okay. When I go almost every time, there is someone different at the drive-thru. I want to note until very recently, I would go every day except Sundays. Definitely the most friendly Starbucks stop on the way to Austin (San Antonio). I love how they have a giant Starbucks sign making the super late night caffeine search much easier. The drive thru is very slow at the Buda location. Where did Kat go?!?! :( The last two times I have seen my drink prepared and ready on the counter with no one in sight. They are sure quick to take my money but then they disappear. When the woman working the window walks up again she chooses to chat it up with co-workers instead of handing me my drink so I can leave. This woman (the bald one) works the window a lot and I never see her smile. She has no sense of urgency and I'm not sure why she is even in customer service. It blows my mind! On another visit I had my drink in hand and waited another 2-3 minutes for my pastry. The said woman handed me by drink and walked around the corner to get my pastry. 2-3 minutes later she appeared. How is it my drink is prepared before by pastry? The only reason I keep coming to this location is because it has a drive-thru and it is on my way to work. I don't visit this location as much as I used to and would rather visit the McDonald's next door for a crappy cup of coffee and stale breakfast sandwich. Sad! read more

I don't care if it's a corporate chain. Starbucks makes a damn fine cup of coffee. Except for the fact they always feature Pike's Place roast, which I can't stand. However, it did force me into drinking espressos and Americanos, which I love! Would I like to frequent a local coffee shop? Of course. I just can't find one that is as consistant and as good. And they finally offer FREE wi-fi! That portion of the review is for the chain as a whole. This location is fast, clean and has a very friendly staff. The inside is bright and cheery. My coffee always comes with a smile. Or two. Or three. UPDATE: I'm giving them the extra star. Best Starbucks staff ever...... I'm over the Pike's roast debacle. I never order drip coffee anymore. I'm a little embarrassed to say that I typically visit a Starbucks once/twice daily for many years so I've been to a huge number of locations in a number of US States and the most consistently slow service has been provided at the Buda location and they often get my drink order wrong. Unfortunately, there are limited stores in the area, however, the last few experiences there have convinced me not to go back to Buda. read more

Jennifer was a rock star with us today! So S-bucks has a new "Refreshers" iced drink which is a via drink in either Cool Lime or Very Berry Hibiscus. These are naturally sweetened instant beverage packets with real fruit and green coffee extract. I had already tried the berry one earlier today in North Austin.... I live South and had not gotten to try the cool lime type... Jennifer was AWESOME enough to make both my husband and I small cool lime ones because she said she liked my enthusiasm about them....she was beyond great! We did not expect her to go out of her way like that!!! We ended up buying the lime ones...you simply put them into 16 ounces of cold, icy water and voila! Delicious! We were even told that the lime could be mixed with a nice lemonade, too....that would be summer heaven right there, too...but it is pretty good solo.... Jennifer even let me in on something...this Friday during lunch hours, ALL locations will be giving out FREE tall Refresher drinks!! You must try this if you have not...it is truly refreshing!!! I'll be the first to admit that I am a chain restaurant snob, in that I always will prefer to shop local. Starbucks is no exception. UNLESS it's 6am and I'm on my way to work and I woke up too late to make my own coffee at home AND there's nothing else open AND Starbucks is at a convenient location for people who commute to Austin. Unfortunately for me, this situation is all too common. And, instead of waking up earlier or investing in a new alarm clock, I am perfectly happy to swing by this Starbucks location. I don't always prefer the taste of the coffee, but I DO really appreciate the customer service. For a chain restaurant, at 6am, these people are top notch. Bright eyed, bushy tailed, enthusiastic....all the things that I am not at that hour. The manager seems to really solidify the team by expressing her excitement to be working with her employees every morning. And I have witnessed, on many occasions, their willingness to go above and beyond to make sure every customer is satisfied. This location is always understaffed especially on the weekends. The wait times for drinks even during the week are longer than average. I've also had a couple drinks spilled on me at the drive thru and there was no apologetic acknowledgement. read more

It's Starbucks. So I'm going to grade on the quality of coffee, customer service and clean restrooms. This one checks all the boxes for me. I'm also a fan of scones, so the fact that this location is not out of them when I stop, like happens a lot at other locations, also influences my star rating. I stop at this store on a regular basis due to my frequent Austin to San Antonio commute. This is a nice place to recharge before I hit the last leg of the trip home on the SH 130 toll road, coffee in hand. I have yet to be disappointed. I frequently drive from San Antonio to North Texas and being in the car for 4.5 hours is long enough, but waiting 20+ minutes in a drive thru is something I just don't want to do. After waiting so long to just get to get my order taken, they didn't even have 3 of my first choice snacks in stock. Makes the wait even more upsetting. read more

This Starbucks is one of the best I have been to - besides the one on Congress in Austin. The staff is always friendly and they seem to love working there and serving customers. It's a small location now, but when Buda gets overrun by more businesses, I'm sure it will get busy there. read more

This Starbucks has actually improved quite a bit. A year ago they were super slow and I found it insanely frustrating. Lately, they have been consistently quicker and I have been very pleased with the service. Beware of parking, though. Cars lining up for the drive thru don't care if they are blocking you in... even if they see you get in your car, they don't really make an effort to move unless it means getting closer to that speaker to order. This is probably the worst drive-thru/parking lot layout I've ever seen. read more

This location never has any of the Verismo pods. They had two packs on the shelf both decaf. It's not the employees fault for not stocking any. But, it's an inconveniences when you have to go two Starbucks to find the. I think Starbucks shouldn't sale a coffee machine if the pods are not available. read more

I live right down the street from this location so naturally the is always my go to but my past five trips have been pretty aggravating. I ordered my usual which is a grande cinnamon dolce latte which is always consistent in flavor but the last two times the flavor has been terrible, it tasted nothing like what I ordered. Then to top it off I've been wanting to order a white or green tea with peach infusion and the past three times I made the trip to this location they said my they are out of the peach flavor when I've been promised twice it will be there the next day. Look I get getting low on ingredients but it's been a week! I just want to pull up and be able to order what I want. Hopefully these issues get resolved quickly. read more

I let the girl on the phone know what I was looking for and let her know I was looking for the glass for my daughter that is in the military and stationed over seas at this time . Placed a mobile order 15 minutes before I arrived at the location so it would be ready and still had to stand there for another 20 minutes waiting for it. They were completely overwhelmed that had no clue what they were doing. They were not filling orders in the order which they came in they were just grabbing them and filling them when the person walked in looking for them. Complete chaos and unprofessional. Look girlfriend, I couldn't even take the lid off without it spilling all over your counter which you witnessed. I've never had any issues with any other Starbucks before...so I must mention how weird this location is. I ordered my usual Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frappuccino without any modifications, and swear there is NO coffee in it!! What?! There's always been some form of coffee in a Caramel Crunch Frappuccino....Been getting same drink all summer long. I tried to bring my reusable cup and at first they refused to wash it. But then another gal said it IS the company policy to rinse out any reusable cup you bring, so they handled it. Ok, cool. Then they put the small drink into my Venti size cup...and the Venti drink into single use plastic cup. Anyway, there was more that went wrong, I almost teared up because I was being polite and CLEAR about my order. Luckily, the manager came by and handed me couple discount cards. Phew. I hope to avoid situations like that in the future as I felt super embarrassed and sad, my daily Starbucks trip is something I highly value and look forward to read more
