This place was awesome for the most part. There was a manager that always used to say have a great day! He's gone now. Staff were super friendly and accommodating. This new girl working has the worst attitude. I showed her my previous order and she sneered at me saying "that's a custom order, we don't have a drink like that." I said kindly "oh okay, can I please have this exact order?" And held up my phone to show her how it was made. She gave me one pump instead of 4 that I asked for. The 2nd time I ordered this drink she made it and ended up saying "we don't have the syrup. I made it with vanilla." She didn't even look me in the eye and had the worst attitude with a nasty look on her face. This felt intentional. I will no longer go here since my drink will purposely be sabotaged. :( I'm a pregnant lady with back problems and have no idea why someone would intentionally be so rude. I get that everyone is busy and has a lot to do but it why go out of your way to make someone's day a little bit harder? This is a great Starbucks location. The staff are super nice - if they see you waiting for a mobile order they double check to see where you are in line. The drinks are always accurate to what you've ordered and come out quick. What more could you ask for? :) read more

I've got to say that the staff is so very nice and they try to get to know you and make you feel comfortable, happy, and wanted. It actually inspired me to do even better at my own customer-facing job. When I told the barista that I was celebrating having just finished high school, she literally said the drink's on her. And they are soooo nice and understanding about checking the packages for Kosher certification. Moreover, I have a lil crush on the baristo (if you ever read this, skateboard-riding beanie-wearing dude, seriously you're so cool). Been coming to this Starbucks ever since I work in the area few years ago. Some of the staff knows me by my first name. (my wife first name actually b/c it's her Starbucks app) I think over the past 6 years they only gotten my coffee wrong once. That's benchmark right there. I love Starbucks and this location is the one that is walking distance from my house. However, it is cramped and it is like a library 24/7. People would like to join their coffee in the Starbucks environment. This is for people who stay there for 5 hours to study: TRY YOUR LOCAL LIBRARY PLEASEEE OR LOOK AROUND ONCE IN A WHILE TO SEE PEOPLE ARE STANDING AND WAITING SOMEONE TO LEAVE.. This is the perfect Starbucks. It's a cute neighborhood location, right next to a bus stop. There's a parking lot and a patio, and free wifi. But do you know what really makes this location good? It's the regulars. I used to be a barista at this store (as well as a customer), and the number one thing that got me up at 4AM was the possibility of seeing so many friendly faces come through in the morning. It's awesome, special (a lot of stores are certainly not this way), and makes the baristas much happier. There's also a decent amount of tables (although not many outlets) and free wifi, perfect for studying or curling up in the comfy corner with your laptop. I love Starbucks since I remember my self. I cant drink any other drink at all because they never taste so good as Starbucks drinks. However, today I was highly disappointed with this location. I send one of my employe to place order for large pink drink with ice on the side. However, when I got my drink I notice that my cup was half way full with drink. Its not a big deal, and I know that it can be easily fixed by simply telling employe that in the store, but as I told before I send one of my employe to get me this drink. Not my favorite Starbucks in the world. The line is usually backed up to the door, and some days seems to crawl, others it moves at least as fast as an old mule. Drinks are made well for the most part, but the pastries window always seems to be ransacked by the time I get in there. Tangent...when will Starbucks go back to the old stuff and get rid of "La Boulange"? One brightside is the private parking lot out back, and there are always spaces. In summary, they serve coffee. Starbucks coffee. And probably gum, cocoa nibs, mints, cds, cups, shirts, and the like too. read more

It's standard for a Starbucks, in terms of space and offerings, but what really made me happy when I came here was the service. The guy behind the counter was so patient while I was reloading my card via my iPhone, and was happy to save my order and scan my phone when I was ready (after helping the customer behind me)... they know how to work a line AND be courteous. The women working, one of them named Amy, were really just so exceptional. I wanted to see how much money was on my starbucks card, and Amy pointed to it instead of shouting it out which looking back, even though I excepted her to just tell me, was so professional since it kept the amount of money I had private. Currently at this location, taking a study break to write this review. I'm diggin' the free wifi and many tables to cater to all the students that come here to study. Quiet and friendly staff. Parking lot. And once again, free wifi. The only downsides I see are there aren't too many power outlets anddd because of the free wifi and many small tables, they tend to fill up pretty quickly. I just grabbed the last table so if you came here when all the tables were full, it'd probably be a little wait before another one opened up. But yeah, I'll def. be here more often. read more

This location is the closest to our apartment and we go here fairly often. After getting his and hers Supercuts in the same plaza we stopped in for some coffees. They have a parking lot but it is a pain in the butt to get in and out of. It is very small and congested and I would really just park on the street. It is quiet and there are always a ton of students on laptops here. They have wifi and limited wall outlets. The baristas are good at getting you your drink quickly and correctly! read more

I think the barista Jake was new, but he was really nice. He went out of his way to make sure we were all set. This is a pretty small Starbucks so you can't really hang out for a while. There is probably only seating for 10. There is off street parking in the rear. Most people use the back entrance off the parking lot. read more

Service always seems slow here! Even when I just get an iced coffee, they put it in the espresso bar line and I end up waiting forever. The other day there were FOUR employees back there-- 1 was cashiering, 1 ran the bar, and who knows what the other 2 were doing. 1 of them was just cleaning-- you can't throw ice in a cup and pour the iced coffee over it for me? I thought the customer comes first, not wiping a counter ?? Then the 4th guy was actually talking to the barista and distracting him when he finally had my cup in his hand! As far as Starbucks goes, this is one of my least favorite stores. The line moves really slowly, they don't have much seating, and it seems generally disorganized. They get extra stars for having a small parking lot out back, although if you have a resident sticker, it's easier to park on the street. read more

This Starbucks has gone down hill recently this year. The drinks are already over priced and expensive as it is, but it seems now more than half the baristas don't know how to properly make the drinks. I've been to others and order the same drink every time, Salted Caramel Coldfoam Coldbrew, which I now just go to the Soldiers Field location for now since they always do a good job there. Last time I went to the Washington Street Brighton Village location, they made it and there was no foam so it was essentially a $7 coffee with cream, and the other time the girl made it with skim milk and remade it just as bad. It would be fine if when you kindly ask if they'll remake it, the nastiest didn't shoot you an attitude. I get it, customer service gigs can suck and you're constantly dealing with people being picky. But for what Starbucks makes you pay for a coffee, you want it done right and worth the money you paid. read more

In general, Starbucks is one of my togo to coffee shops. Good service and coffee quality. For some reason, they changed the time frame to use the birthday reward to expire within 5 days. I always missed it and expired when I used it. Luckily the barista was so nice to give to me anyway. I hope they can change back to last within the birth month. read more

This is a nice little Starbucks and the staff I encountered here was very helpful and friendly, but I have to wonder why their items for sale were not prominently displayed. I'll be honest and say that I don't venture into Starbucks often, but when I do, I enjoy looking at the selection of coffees, teas, mugs, Cd's and other groovy coffee house essentials that they have for sale. This location had almost nothing on display. It was all about the coffee, which is a big part of it, but what about the rest of us who like to shop at Starbucks? I wanted to buy a box of this tea they serve that I love and it was discovered hidden in a closed cabinet out on the floor. Starbucks sells nice stuff. Why not display it? I barely ever leave reviews but this Starbucks deserves 10/5 stars. I visit Starbucks daily, and this is the only location where service never ever disappoints. There are places in downtown Boston where you would expect this type of service because of their locations, but no other place completes to this one in Brighton. They're organized, structured, and they all seem to have fun with each other while always getting the job done (and quickly, my mobile order is always done within 3-5 minutes even at their busiest times)! Whoever runs this place should train the rest of the Boston Metro! read more

Went again today (of course) and the same barista who was there on the cheery morning I described was working and was quite grumpy! However, after seeing the three people in front of me and imagining having to deal with them, I would be grumpy too. I've found that the customers tend to be real jerks! However, having worked in retail I know it's important that you need not let it get to you to the point where you're rude to people who are nice to you. Everyone is lovely in the morning, but I guess the location is just THAT draining. I kind of feel bad for them. read more
