Latte with caramel crunch and a caramel ribbon crunch frapp
Nicole W.

Friendly service. Helpful with ordering preferences. My go to when I want Starbucks. I do find wait times here a bit long.

Ordered an ICED drink via mobile app, but the barista made an executive decision to make it hot!

This is the last straw to break the camel's back for me! I placed a mobile order. Now before I get into what my order was, I'd like to express the reasons I use mobile ordering listed by importance: 1) order accuracy, 2) time efficiency and 3) loyalty programs. Ok, now that that's out of the way! Back to what I was saying...I placed a mobile order with this particular location. Got there in the approximate time it said it would be ready. Go inside, didn't see my drink but the Holy Spirit told me to look at the ready drinks. See my name and I'm floored. I ordered a grande ICED soy 5 pump vanilla latte. But instead I received a HOT soy 5 pump vanilla latte. BLOWN DOT COM! That was such an amateur move...like if Starbucks was in some type of Olympic event, they would have lost off the bat. My issue: your drinks cost wayyyy to much to @&$? up! How can you expect customers to have faith in your brand??? Your mobile ordering proved that it was an accurate or time sensitive experience. Instead it made me late to have to wait for an already busy barista to remake my drink and by this time, I had little to no faith in receiving what I actually paid for. Starbucks while you might have saturated the market with your stores, it doesn't mean that offer valuable experiences. At least not how you used to 15 years ago. I can be just as happy with a cup of coffee from SevenEleven these day! #YallLosingLongTimeLoyalCustomersEveryday

I went to Mix and Mingle: Coffee and Lounge on a Friday night for my cousin's birthday, and overall…read morethe vibe was really nice. First Fridays are clearly a big deal there because the place was packed, the Gogo band was good, and the atmosphere was fun. I ended up sitting at the bar instead of getting a table and ordered a drink for myself, a drink for my cousin, and some shrimp. The food and drinks were actually good, so I can definitely see why people like coming here. What frustrated me was the pricing and gratuity situation. After looking at the menu, I saw it mentioned a 20% gratuity for parties of four or more, so I didn't think that applied to me since I was sitting at the bar with no table. I even asked the waitress if I could order food at the bar and she said yes, but nobody explained there would still be an automatic gratuity added. The drinks were $12 each and the bang bang shrimp were $13, so I was confused when my total came out to almost $50 and not realizing I added additional to the tip. I had to ask for the receipt multiple times before I finally saw the gratuity charge unbeknownst to me. I think the restaurant/menu needs to be a lot more upfront and clear about when gratuity is automatically added... and that's whether it's for First Fridays, live bands, bar service, or anything else. Being surprised by service fees, automatic gratuity or any hidden fee not clearly mentioned, for me, can leave a bad impression even when the food and atmosphere are good. As a small business, there are already stereotypes and complaints people make about hidden fees and pricing, and situations like this unfortunately don't help that narrative. With that said, I still plan to come back because I genuinely enjoyed the music, food, and overall vibe. I just wish the pricing and gratuity policies were communicated more clearly from the beginning... especially in this economy!

Got my lips all fixed for the caramelized cheese blueberry croissants which I plan to pick up next week. Those things are decadent. Lovely donut shop. We talked about wiggly cakes and scones...and Crumbl. They have a few more donuts I plan to try - including strawberry with coconut next time. The donuts are larger than the grocery store variety. They sell other breakfast delights plus coffee too, and have been there for a while. Terrific member of the merchant community. The service was friendly and the ambiance is warm. They are in a strip mall that's essentially empty but for them. Parking on-site and abundant.

While waiting for my order, I noticed the staff (who seemed pretty young, not saying that negatively, just observationally) loudly talking about not getting tips. Loud enough for the whole place to hear. That was my first sign that the atmosphere might be off. When my order was ready, they didn't call out the item or confirm anything, they just said my name, tossed the tied-up bag on the counter, and walked away. I watched them call other orders properly with names and items, so the contrast stood out. Regardless of how good food may be, customer experience matters. I didn't ask for a manager because I've worked in management before, and I know staff behavior often reflects internal leadership and environment. Still, it's something worth noting: even for quick-service or takeout spots, courtesy and professionalism go a long way. This interaction felt dismissive and honestly off-putting. I'm not writing this to be harsh, just to be honest. This is why I prefer to tip in casHopefully it's something the team can improve on, because small interactions shape the whole experience.

I wanted to go to Pjs as an alternative to Starbucks but I can no longer. They are way too expensive. I also don't understand how they operate their drive through. You have to ask for everything. Forks, napkins, jelly, butter. I got a bagel which says it comes with cream cheese on the menu, I had to ask for the cream cheese and knife... & this has been several employees by the way. They all do it. Another time I got a biscuit with jelly. I had to ask 3 different questions thinking the server would get it. Can I have jelly...? received the jelly with no knife. Can I have a knife...? Received the knife with no napkins. Can I have napkins...? Any normal coffee shop gives you all of those things with a bag! They don't even give you bags! I spent $25 on a bagel, 1 medium chai latte, 1 medium caramel coffee, and a bacon egg and cheese sandwich, on top of that I had to ask for utensils and napkins. That was my last time going there. I go to a coffee shop to spend $7 max for a coffee and a treat, Pjs is not that place. They either think they're better quality than what they are or taking advantage of people. Either way I want no part of it anymore.

From the moment we walked in, we had a joyful and welcoming experience. Two gentlemen greeted us warmly, explained what PJ's is, walked us through the menu, and made us feel genuinely excited to be there. One of them mentioned it was his first day, and he still did an amazing job. The other gentleman light-skinned, with curly hair and glasses was also very pleasant and professional. We both ordered the Southern Pecan latte. I ordered mine iced with almond milk, and it was absolutely delicious, smooth, flavorful, and honestly tasted even better iced. My sister ordered the hot version, which just wasn't her cup of tea, likely due to the difference in temperature and flavor profile. She politely asked if it could be remade as an iced drink. Unfortunately, this is where the experience shifted. The employee who assisted her, Brittany, was very unwelcoming and unpleasant. There was no acknowledgment or explanation, she simply told my sister to leave the drink on the counter. After waiting about 10 minutes, we noticed the remade drink had been sitting on the counter with no name called, no signal, and no attempt to get our attention, even though there were only four customers in the store. I was seated with a clear view of the counter and still received no indication that the drink was ready. That interaction left a bad taste in our mouths as we exited the establishment. Front-of-house staff truly set the tone, and unfortunately, her energy did not reflect the warmth shown by the rest of the team. Overall, the coffee quality, atmosphere, and service from the two gentlemen were great, and we would absolutely return for their positive energy and hospitality. For reference, my order was placed under the name "Love" if management would like to review the transaction. Everything was great besides that one interaction.
