The employees are routinely vacant and to be avoided let alone trusted to pour coffee. I've been there twice in the last 2 months and only when pressed for time, and that's the last time I'll let that happen. There are so many good coffee shops within steps of here. Recommend exercising freedom of choice on this one ahead of time, to patronize good people with good businesses and reward yourself with much better coffee and way better interactions, elsewhere! read more

Listen to others - Avoid at all costs. Worst experience ever. I go in and ask the person if they have pineapple cake. The guy confirms they do have it. I pay for it and stand there waiting for 15 mins. After such a long wait I ask the barista about my order and she says, they don't sell any pineapple cakes. The other barista yells from the other corner to give me a refund. They make me wait another 5 mins just to refund me because they have to get another staff member out from the back. I hope this is the right one..this is location is the one in between the Westin and Copley Mall. Came in said hello to the barista she didn't even acknowledge me. She looked mean! The gurl at the register was nice made an amazing drink but then when it came to pay she said just hit the button..I knew there is an option to decline a tip but the machine was blank. I'm so disappointed, I'm from Seattle so maybe I should've expected less but I figured Starbucks is a chain so they more or less are the same everywhere. I asked for a vanilla steamed soy milk in remembrance of my departed father who used to make me these when I was a kid, and they didn't know what I was ordering and brought over the manager. I told them I could order something else if they didn't know it, but they found the button on the cash register and charged me. Turns out I just got warm cows milk, which was neither flavored nor plant-based as requested. They were too busy to get their attention after the mistake happened, so just had to toss it. I come here at least 3 times a week and in the last few months the service here has been a complete mess. Last week I was in line for 20 minutes (line wasn't even that long) because the baristas were extremely slow at taking orders, making orders or are just understaffed. There's been multiple occasions I've been told they've run out of iced coffee or cold brew. I wasn't told either time how long the wait would be and the other suggestions offered made no sense as to what I originally ordered. Don't suggest a hot latte when I want a cold drink. Don't bother mobile ordering because you end up waiting almost twice as long for your order to be "ready" despite the app telling you it's ready. Just stand in line with the rest of us or order your drink 45 minutes in advance. Also, this location is small enough, so let's work on not having boxes in the shop. Some of it is right where you have to pick up your coffee which isn't conveniently when there's 25 people waiting for their orders. Some of the boxes are in places where there should be open seats. This location used to be so great with service and speed compared to the location by the Marriott. It's unfortunate to see this store's quality decline so quickly. read more

I'm not usually a Starbucks fan, preferring local coffee houses, but as I was staying at the overpriced, overhyped Westin Copley Place I got coffee and a bagel a couple of times here during my stay. I was impressed by the extreme efficiency of the staff, who made my cappuccino and toasted my everything bagel in literally under a minute, for a little over $6. That's one-sixth the price I would have paid for a coffee and omelette in the Westin restaurant. read more

Long lineup during the morning rush. Blueberry muffin was tasty but they dropped the ball on the Venti iced white tea lemonade. Even though I asked for sweetened, I could barely taste the sweetness because they added so much ice. Even though it was Venti, there was still a lot of ice by the time I finished my drink. Sbucks which is Hells busy just inside Copley place mall. There is an even smaller one inside the second floor of the Westin hotel if this one is too busy. The line does move well and drinks are at a Starbucks level of quality. Staying at the Westin I ventured out to look for a stronger cup of java and this was the closer option rather than having to walk out in heavy pouring rain. Most of the crowd was downtown work locals and the vibe was more of a positive nature. I appreciate the convenience of this location, Starbucks however is a bit run of the mill for me these days. My wish is they would introduce new blends of coffee as Nespresso does on a monthly basis. read more

One of my favorite winter Starbucks stops. It's connected to the hotel and to the Copley mall - so it's convenient. Always places to sit (which is odd because it is so small inside) and really friendly employees. It's also a great people watching place - with huge windows and hotel guests walking by and stopping in. Be careful if you go to late in the evening though - Osushi right next store has a smell that can overpower even the strongest Starbucks brew. read more

I was directed to this Starbucks though because it's the best around and it really is. The employees are super friendly, they move quickly and the drinks are always good. They've never messed up on me. And the majority of employees there know my order by now which is good because I can't really function normally pre-coffee. This Starbucks is probably by far one of the better ones I've been to. The staff here are generally friendly and they're quite efficient compared to others. They're quick on their feet and get your drinks right the first time. Because of the locations, it's generally very busy here but believe me, the lines go very quickly so it doesn't feel like you're here forever like others. Decently sized. Clean. Friendly service. Had a grande lemon bar frappucino made with soy milk, along with whipped cream and what appeared to be pralines sprinkled on the whipped cream. It was heavenly. I wasn't a fan of the mini faux marble tables, but I guess they had to work with the space they were given. It wasn't busy, so the atmosphere was very chill and quiet, which was nice. It's also nice that it's actually a full Starbucks and not apart of a hotel like the one at the Marriot, or part of a store like the one at Barnes & Noble. This review isn't for the service, it's for what I received. I completely understood that the cashier was her first time on the job. It took her a while to understand my drink and put it through the system. It was a very simple drink. And iced coffee with cream, caramel, and an espresso shot. I ended up waited 15 minutes for my drink, and what came out was a black iced coffee, no sugar, no caramel, and no cream. I told her that it was supposed to be as I ordered it, and it was even written on the cup. She looked at the cup, and then added caramel and handed it back to me. At this point I was pretty aggravated, I had to pull ice out of it to be able to add cream and sugar. Usually things like this don't bother me, but at least completely fix your mistake, not half of it read more

Normally I wouldn't take the time to review a mall Starbucks, but I have to give top props to the team working at this spot. Why? Well... those who k now me know I'm not the most coordinated gal around. And I may or may not have spilled an entire venti skinny vanilla latte all over a colleague, his bag, the table, chair and quite possibly other patrons. You honestly have no idea how much liquid is actually in a venti coffee until you see it spilled all over a person, his belongings and all of the furniture at Starbucks. Wrist experience ever! I ordered from them 5 days out of 7 mostly. But after they changed the whole crew, people are not nice at all! I've been times they argue with customers. Today I ordered a green tea with 2 tea bags in a venti size. When I get my tea, it was only half filled, so I ask the guy with curly hair to add more hot water with me. First he asked me to wait. After I have seen him making two coffees. I hand him my tea, he looked at me and said no I can't add more water. I asked what do u mean? He said we can only fill in grande size. I looked at my cup, it's not even, and I said but I can't add more water if I want? Then he left and went to ask other coworkers. I heard she's saying just ask her to request next time. I ordered from the app, I couldn't add more comment on that. But he came back and say if u want more water, we will charge you more money for that. I was stoned, not to mention the way he's talking is very rude, and I said so if I want to order a cup of hot water you have to charge me? He said yes and he left. I have no idea how they trained their employee. Nor have I ever heard that I need to be charged for adding more water. His way of talking and ignoring me and even asked me to wait for so long when he knows the hot water was just besides him. It is the worst experience I ever had at Starbucks. I go here every single day during the work week, Take it from me they know how to make an americano the correct way unlike the other starbucks locations next to the Barnes and Noble/ Id rather walk further to this location than the other closer one. I havent had any rude comments etc like some of the other people posted below. I think the mcdonals comment is pretty funny- guess some people cant take a joke. Regardless, they know how to make the coffee the way they should be, it isnt watered down, it's just right. Sometimes there is some strange characters in the morning, last week I saw a baby crawling all over the floors and someone almost stepped on it- but, that has nothing to do with the business. This is a cool Starbucks located inside the Marriott Copley Place hotel and is right in the middle of two really nice shopping malls if you need a caffeine fix in between looking through the various retail establishments. They have free wi-fi like every other Starbucks that I have been in and the staff was very friendly also. This Starbucks gets a lot of traffic and they seem to handle it very well, I never had to wait in line very long, even when there were quite a few people ahead of me. This is a great place to people watch since there is an enclosed walkway over the street connecting the two malls that I mentioned earlier, there are always a lot of people going back and forth. There is also an awesome chocolate shop across from this Starbucks although I can't remember the name of it. read more

I was really upset and disappointed at the service in this Starbuck. I ordered a white chocolate mocha frapuccino and it was good like always, the service I wasn't so crazy about. When I ordered a girl thought it was funny the way I said frapuccino so she came over to the girl that took my order imitated laughed and walked away.I was really upset because in fact I do have an accent which I'm very proud of but it really gets to me when ignorant people make fun of me. Then this girl had to make my drink when she handed over I asked what was so funny about the way I placed my order the girl didn't say anything back didn't apologize nothing I asked for her name (no one was wearing name tags) and she refused to give me it and walked away.
