I rarely don't have coffee on hand, but I stopped in this morning for a coffee pick me up! I needed some extra energy this morning, so I got a large sweet cream vanilla cold brew. There was no one in line, so literally my drink was made within seconds. The barista even asked me if I wanted more coffee or sweet cream. I asked for light ice, and that's exactly what I got. The drink is delicious as always. I love that there is a full Starbucks basically on LSU's campus. This isn't a mini one, it's the full store: cups, coffee, seating, the whole 9 yards. There is no drive thru, but plenty of retail parking behind the building. read more

Hi, I'm a new Dasher and had an issue at Starbucks I had to go there twice, and both times I wasn't familiar with their online order pickup process. The staff were very rude and unhelpful -- one lady even cut me off when I tried to ask for assistance, saying they were behind on orders & I continued to explain I completely understood that, but I was only looking for a little guidance since I'm new, she did not seem to care at all and kind of shrugged me off. I've been to this starbucks on several occasions. The staff is very friendly and kind. If you're not sure what to get or wanna try something new, they're happy to offer suggestions. I typically get iced beverages whether it's an iced chai, iced latte, or cold refresher. The drinks are tasty. When you are a part of their rewards program, you get a free drink in your birthday. I went all out with the customizations with the help of one of the employees who kindly made some suggestions according to my preferences. So nice of her! PRO TIP: You can order and pay for your drink through the starbucks app before you even get to the restaurant. This is a great option during peak periods. Since this location is close to LSU, it gets very busy when school is in session so ordering through the app is a life saver! Inside the coffee shop you'll find plenty of places to sit or study. There is outdoor seating as well. The ambiance is cute and welcoming and I highly encourage you to get a drink and pastry and sit and work or just chill here. There is also a section for merchandise that can be purchased to make coffee/tea at home or a new reusable cup for your hot or iced beverages. read more

So slow! I wated for about 15min for a chai they made wrong. Then another 20 minutes for them to remake it- after every other new customer orders were done. My husbands coffee came out immediately but cold. The food was quick and good, but the service and timing is not. My husband watched one barrista take my cup with the order and move it so no one would make it for a while. read more

This Starbucks is a hit or a miss. I only really ever go to this location because it's convenient since it's close to campus. Their drinks are just inconsistent and most of the time taste watered down or burnt. The drink I added looks amazing but it was seriously anything but amazing. I always feel like I'm wasting money when I go there. The workers there are always super friendly and on top of it, especially when there are tons of people waiting for drinks/waiting to order. However, their great service doesn't make up for their drink quality. read more

The service was awful . we end up having to order on the app just to get our food and drinks because nobody would take me and my boyfriends order. they were only taking orders from individual customers and were ignoring couples. two of the workers were pretending to do stuff so they didn't have to take order. the drinks we ordered were purposely watered down and two of the workers were extremely rude both looked at me like i was a bitch when I had no encounter with them at all. our food was cold the second we got it and we almost burnt our hand with our coffee mug because we were not given a sleeve while everyone else got a sleeve for there hot coffee. it was gloomy and they were gossiping about a girl that had walked in that they thought was hot rather than serving people and taking orders read more

Came to get a couple drinks and my husband asked from a French vanilla latte and instead of them giving him that they gave him a latte with vanilla and hazelnut, which is not the same. When trying to be accommodated he was met with attitude and yelling from Vee, a worker, and who I assume to be the manager. Vee also made my drink a grande although it was supposed to be a venti and instead of remaking my drink, she made me a short to go with the grande. When trying to get her name, I was also met with attitude. This is terrible customer service and I'm not happy with this Starbucks AT ALL. read more

It's a pretty standard college town Starbucks. Right now they are accepting dine in customers unlike earlier and they are very firm on the wearing a mask to dine in statewide policy. Using the app to pick up and leave is still a much preferred way to getting that Starbucks fix but they also have a fair bit of outdoor seating with umbrellas. read more

I love Starbucks so I was super excited when this one opened in the Nicholson Gateway. I order through the app and just go inside to pick up. The baristas are super friendly and helpful. The inside area is also very clean. If you're worried about parking because this is technically on campus, there are allotted spaces for Starbucks. I've never had an issue with parking. One thing I've noticed is the baristas take time to ensure the drink is correct so they may not be extremely fast but the drinks are tasty and correct. (Just keep this in mind when ordering) read more

My only problem with this location is the service and priority of in store orders vs mobile orders. I used to always place a mobile order and arrived about 10 minutes after placing, but you'll be waiting another 20 at least. I watched about 10 different people order and receive their food/drinks after I had placed my order on the app 30 minutes prior. They need to have a better system of getting mobile orders out quicker. read more

DO NOT LET THE OLD REVIEWS SCARE YOU OFF- 10/10 service!!!! There's this jolly, handsome tall guy and he's positive every time i come in, he really makes my day :) I think he's a supervisor. Overall, the team is always so kind and makes the best drinks i've tasted at a Starbucks yet. Sometimes there's a huge wait because of the limited staff with such a huge demand for mobile orders- a barista told me that they once received 20 drink orders within the same second. Crazy!!! Such rude employees - I went in and ordered a large drink, went to sip it once I'm already in my car and realized it was only half way. Half. I go back inside, very nicely request that they fill it all the way since I ordered a large and it wasn't filled, and they accused me of dropping it and just wanting a free drink. I have Starbucks at least 2x weekly and I love using the mobile order feature because it sure helps my time in the morning. This morning I ordered from the wrong location and when I showed up to this one, SHAYLA let me know that I ordered from the wrong location but that she would make it for me. the worst starbucks in the city. avoid at all costs. they pretend to be out of stock and turn off mobile ordering for just about every item, have been closed randomly in the middle of the day but forget to turn off mobile ordering so you spend money and have to call corporate to get a refund, and can take 45 mins - 1 hour to fix a drink. it blows my mind how corporate allows a store like this to operate under its current management. read more

Needs serious improvement in all aspects of their business. They lack in inventory management and are consistently out of staples such as classic syrup and nitro cold brew. They are located at a great location on LSU's campus which in turn has high volume of customers ranging from students to campus faculty/staff etc. and haven't had a fully functioning staff to meet the needs of the high demand. Mobile orders go unnoticed until you have to ask if they had made the drinks yet. One Barista during the week day is not going to be sufficient and meet the needs of customers and students who are "on the go" to and from class. The tables and counter tops are never wiped clean throughout the day which leaves a modernized Starbucks looking run down and not tended to. The leadership lacks and their shift managers do not seem to care enough to make changes. There was coffee spilled on the floor as I waiting in line to make my order and no employee came by to clean it up. The manager consistently walked passed it and didn't want to make the effort to wipe it up until I took a bunch of napkins and cleaned it up myself. As I wiped it up, the manager stood beside me and watched instead of taking over and even after didn't take a mop to clean up the floor which now makes sense that their floors are so sticky. This is the perfect location for a Starbucks and the consumer demand will always be there, I just hope they do a better job keeping up the store better and making changes as needed. I will say there are a handful of great staff members who just need proper lwadership read more

I am beyond thrilled to finally have a Starbucks this close to my house. The place is great--the decor, quality of beverages and friendly staff is everything I've come to expect from Starbucks, except for one thing. The manager at this location made the decision to put the mobile order station behind the counter, completely inaccessible to customers. On several occasions, I have had to stand and wait during busy times (when I'm in a hurry to get to work) and then go through the stressful task of interrupting a busy barista, just so they can hand me my drink. The whole point of having mobile ordering is so I can run in and quickly grab my order. It ends up adding time and stress to my morning and I've actually opted not to order from them on several occasions because of this. If it weren't for this one (major) issue, they'd have five stars from me. read more
