I still like this location. There's adequate seating if you'd like to stay to enjoy your drink and/or food. The atmosphere is always nice. My mobile orders are always correct. One thing that I've noticed that can be problematic is that the order pick-up area is directly in the entrance area, so when it's a busy time, there is frequently people milling about, in your way when you enter. Also, while there is convenient parking in the front, I do not recommend parking there. The road in front of the business is the major thru way for cars to get past the HEB and to the theater and restaurants. You'll have trouble backing out. read more

Customer Service needs attention. Three people behind counter. One person (girl) making all drinks. Cashier (guy) and another person (girl) talking and finally acknowledged I was there. Took forever. As I was leaving asked cashier for some water. He said sure, but decided to wash the sink and after two fill ups of hot water to rinse the sink I decided to just leave. I can't say much for a chain establishment as their menu and drinks are basically the same across the board. However, I do like coming to this Starbucks. It looks like it is a fairly new store and it is in a good area/plaza with other stores and restaurants to check out. My drinks seems to be consistent whenever I order and their service is good. I've never had a problem with their customer service. Drinks are made pretty fast, but that also depends on what time you come. I heard they have a clover machine here so I'm looking forward to trying that out next time. There store is decent size with several tables and chairs to sit. It is a good place to sit and study or work but there is music playing in the background so it's not quiet. There is a small outdoor seating in the front. Store itself is clean and looks kept. My only complaint is it seems to be a little pricier at this location compared to what I'm used to. My drink order is usually $3.95 at other locations but here it's $4.95. Being something of a commodity (Starbucks being Starbucks no matter where you find yourself), in my experience, there are good Starbucks, and awesome Starbucks. There are even subpar Starbucks. So, while it's a challenge to write a fresh, unique review about and one particular location, here's my attempt at describing why my new "my Starbucks" has become so. I can get an overpriced cup of coffee anywhere. I can also get über-fattening, whipped cream-laden, "I-think-there's-coffee-in-here" beverages anywhere as well. The reason I deemed this one "my Starbucks", as opposed to the equidistant from Casa Shoehead, Williams & Austin location in G-Town, is that here, I get really great service. A lot of the baristas recognize me, and I never get the cliché surly hipster barista giving me attitude. This place also has a nice outdoor area that overlooks a sweeping span of I-35. OK, the sweeping vista also includes a nice panorama of trees, and the Williamson County Courthouse dome. It really is a nice view. Not even officially open and they are already a fantastic shop. This is the same crew that used to be at Lake Creek and 183, and they are finally getting a facility they deserve. They have one of the rare Clover machines which takes coffee to unprecedented levels of richness and flavor. There are only three in the city and only seventeen in the entire state of Texas. You must try coffee through the Clover. You must! The store itself is large and nicely appointed. There are four sitting areas inside and a large patio for sitting either solo or with large groups. This promises to be my favorite location not just in Austin, but anywhere. Come check it out. read more

Nice location tucked away in the HEB Plus lot. Busy parking lot (even on a Thursday morning), but plenty of spaces. The staff were extra friendly and welcoming, even letting me know when they were making my drink instead of just when it was ready. The decor is conducive to computer work...dark wood walls and heavy shades block out the sun so well that you'd almost think you were in the basement of a hipster bar. One of the few locations with a clover machine. I'm sure it's just another gimmick. I personally enjoy cold brewing to get the acidic taste out by not brewing using heat. The staff seamed nice. Showing a smile while working makes me feel more welcomed. Unfortunately, I've had some of my worst experiences at this location and I kept coming because it's proximity too my favorite Alamo drafthouse. This location has a Clover and is the only place to get Starbucks Reserve coffee selections in the area, so if you are in the mood for a serious gourmet pour -- this is your Starbucks. First off let me start by saying, my wife is a Starbucks addict. She has been a gold card member pretty much since the program was introduced. The woman loves coffee. We recently moved to the neighborhood making this particular Starbucks our new usual provider of our morning wake up. I can say, so far they have left a lasting impression, albeit not a good one. After several visits, we have encountered rude baristas, terrible service, and incredibly long wait times. I understand the a venti mocha is not going to be whipped up in seconds, but waiting 20 minutes for one while two baristas find it more important to chit chat with one another, is a bit on the excessive side. This Starbucks does not even have a drive thru, so that cannot even be used as an excuse. The rudeness is just inexcusable on all levels. Just yesterday, while my wife was trying to add cream to her coffee, the half and half was empty. When she took the carafe up to the counter to let them know, the barista sighed in annoyance and just slammed the plastic creamer on the counter in front of her, and went back to talking with his coworker behind the counter. This is definitely not the level of service and quality that we have grown the expect from Starbucks. Either things need to change or we just may have to find a new regular coffee shop. read more

Horrible place!! We've ordered frappes( mocha , caramel etc) more than 5 times here and never once did they give it right as per the order. It was always something missing or something extra, so my husband and I never took it too serious to write a negative review for such minor things UNTIL, we got a milk can plastic lid in the frappe, I have no idea how much we consumed thinking them to be ice particles. Attached are photos of how negligent this place can be!! I mean how could the guy who did this drink miss a red freaking plastic cap ?!? Such tiny particles of plastic, it's really hard to know something like that when you have ice and whipped cream in there. Starbucks quality of coffee is great across every Starbucks. This morning, in a rush before work, I put in an online order in the middle of busy Starbucks hours. When I went to pick up my drink, I didn't see it there. I asked the barista if they had made it yet to find out that I had made my online order to the wrong store. Completely embarrassed and afraid that I had spent my money for nothing, the barista offered to make it at the store I was in free of charge and said that it happens all the time. She was very cheerful and got it out to me right away. For studying, this place is great! Not too busy and a quiet environment. The wifi connection is good and I did not have a problem finding plug in access. The staff is very friendly and speedy with your order. My only advice is that you park in the HEB parking lot because backing out can be a bummer when the traffic is high. I never had bad service when I visit this location. Despite my tendency to be notoriously difficult, the baristas here are always on point with their suggestions. With my allergies to berries, they suggested their lemonade slush thing, sans berries, and it was one of the best things I've had. Perfect for a hot day. I stopped in before work to rescue a coworker from lack of coffee and ended up getting a delish breakfast sandwich and a drink for myself. Quick service, great drinks, fantastic staff. This location is by far the best group of people I've ever had the chance to meet!! They are always kind always happy and always telling funny jokes! I even walked in one day to them having a 90's dance party! They are always having a great time at work and it effects the guest in a positive and exciting way! Make sure the person making the clover drink knows how to run the machine. What a waste of great coffee and time while she "has no idea how to run the machine" Training should be required especially with expensive coffee. Also, if there are two county coffees, you should ask to clarify. Then when I inquire why the knowledge deficit employee is using the wrong coffee, you shouldn't say "well that's the one I ran you up with." I just left, no coffee no refund. read more

I was a long time customer at the 183/Lake Creek location. It closed for this new location. That is fine. However, they are VERY slow. I wanted to order from the Clover menu but they were so slow I left and went to a different location. Some of the people from the 183/Lake Creek location went to this one, but most are new and do not care for customer service. They get very angry when you ask what the hold up is. STAY AWAY. read more
