I ordered a salted caramel cold brew, but it tasted nothing like salted caramel. The latte was also extremely watery and tasted more like milk than a latte. What concerned me most was the hygiene. While working, one of the staff members was petting a customer's dog. She then went directly back to work without washing her hands. I found this particularly concerning when handling drinks and food. The long wait, poor quality of the drinks, and hygiene issue made this a very disappointing visit. I wouldn't return based on this experience.

The food presentation was impressive: We were given a small plate that held about two bites of salad. The bottom plate of the tray held finger sandwiches: egg salad and cucumber with cream cheese. The croissant sandwich had a thin slice of apple and sliced ham and cheese. The middle plate had freshly baked scones served with passion fruit curd. They were delicious and had a slight crunch on the edges of the scone as you bit into it. The top plate held desserts : individual fruit tart , french macarons( not made inhouse), and a lavender infused dessert with a creamy center. Every dessert was a "delight" to eat! Everyone who came with us to have tea, was impressed with The Hen and Drake and would definitely come back here. The gentleman at the counter is incredibly friendly and crafts every single drink with so much care. On my first visit, I ordered a cappuccino, a hazelnut latte, and a hot Thai tea. I actually got lucky that day because a previous customer had left a "pay it forward" in their menu; so one of my drinks was free! I made sure to pay it forward as well for the next person.
