Needed a quick caffeine pick me up and was glad to find this Starbucks location on the map only a few minutes from my Sunday shopping stop. It's quaintly situated on the corner of a larger brick building with a small parking lot behind the building. There's an entrance to this Starbucks from the parking lot side away from West Street. This location offers everything you'd expect from Starbucks from its cleanliness, friendly staff, and the tasty beverage and food items. After placing an order, I was able to stop into the restroom and found it clean, too! That's always a plus. My hot caramel macchiato was ready pretty quickly. It was exactly what I needed to get back in the road! read more

Great staff! Super nice baristas, they are so nice here abs I love the cafe. I'm glad we have a non drive thru store because I feel like they attend in a much nicer way. Be careful during busy hours because there are some crabby customers. Make sure you come with patience! Parking can be a drag too when it's busy. Patience. I don't understand what is happening at this location. There seems to be a new barista every time. The store was a mess this morning with boxes everywhere, and I almost tripped. There were 3 baristas, and I felt really bad for the one who was only working at the front and the other two were not helping the customers at all. It was a very cold, unfriendly atmosphere and this store seems to be changing personnel constantly. Not to mention, they're too busy filling so many mobile orders that the wait time increases for the actual customer who is waiting. This store has really gone downhill lately and I would avoid this location. It's not friendly like it used to be and the customer service is just not there, not to mention the drink was not Starbucks quality. I think I'll go to the other locations. 1901 West in Annapolis. It was 8:30 AM on a Sunday. read more

Best customer service of all Starbucks!! Whenever I'm there they all greet me by my name. It's amazing how they remember the names of all their regulars. This Starbucks in located in the first floor of the new 1901 West condo buildings. I looked into living here just so I would have a Starbucks located right downstairs for me. How convenient is that! Then I thought that it might not be such a good idea because that could also be dangerous. I might spend all my money on coffee and drinks! Well at least they have free wi-fi like always so I could cancel that at home. Nice place to get out from the cold. They have lots of parking exclusively designated for the stores so if you're driving by and need a quick stop, this is a convenient location. There's also a carpet store next door. Odd combination in a new residential building but I guess people need carpet. read more

I've been here many times and I can't say enough about this location- especially today. Angel and company were so sweet this morning after a hellish commute yesterday that had me and many others stranded on RT50 for hours. I've been sitting here (one of the few places open this morning) with my delicious latte building the courage to drive home and listening to them greet every single arrival with bubbly warmth- many people they recognize by name. I love the people at this store! When you walk in, you receive a warm welcome and you can even see their smile through their mask. One day I couldn't get my $5.00 coupon up on my phone, so they gave me my usual cup of wonderful coffee on the house. By far, the best Starbucks costumer service! I commonly order using the Starbucks app, pick-up my items, and sit to do my work. Upon walking in, the barista (Young African descent male with locks) called my name (pronounced my challenging name perfectly) to alert me about not having the Green Cloud tea I ordered. The slim-tall European descent male behind the register collaborative stepped into the conversation (educated me on teas and caffeine). I can say so much more--overall, they were extremely kind and provided amazing customer service to every single costumer while I was there. I typically stop in this Starbucks on the weekends. Most of the time there is a line, but they typically move it along pretty quickly. The staff is always friendly. The parking lot it is a bit small for the amount of traffic that comes through this area. read more

Okay, so I don't normally review places like Starbucks but I just got some crazy good service and had to Yelp. This Starbucks is located conveniently right by the Westin and was my post work stop for a caffeine drip. The two gals behind the counter were great! They had a playful banter going back and forth and had a nice energy in the otherwise empty Starbucks. I ordered my usual and while the barista was making it she suggested an apple chai. I let her know I hadn't had it but would try it sometime. She was so enthusiastic she made me one on the house to go. On top of that the other barista was cleaning the pastries out and offered me the last cupcake on the house as well. I'm not sure if I looked like I needed a pick me up or what but both were overly kind and generous. They deserve a raise! Who knew a tea run could make my afternoon. read more

This Starbucks gets a lot of foot traffic in the morning and always tries to get the drinks made quickly -- they hop. The staff are great and remember names and favorite drinks. Very accommodating and tolerant of the irritable folks who haven't had their coffee yet and take it out on the baristas. The location is convenient on West St with free parking. Free WiFi is a plus when needing a hotspot too. Good interior seating and outdoor seating. Lots of regulars who hang out, catch up, have philosophical discussions and solve problems of the world. Good sign. This means it's a good neighborhood spot that people like to frequent and Starbucks encourages the "community" feel. Cool. read more

I absolutely love this store. I'm a frequent customer and I have to say my favorite thing about this place is the spirit of the baristas that work there! Not only are they super friendly and willing to talk coffee, they dress up "Bertha" for holidays and special events. The baristas always have a smile and a warm hello ready for everybody that walks through the door. Truly a great staff! read more

The area is very nice and the cashier very friendly. However, when my order came the drink had leaked out through the top onto the sides and down the cup creating a pool of sticky coffee at the base and the counter. Then my barista watched me as I cleaned the sides of my cup and the counter as well as remove drinking straw trash that someone else had left on the service counter. I'm really not trying to be picky but for $6.00 for a 12oz coffee I should at least have a clean cup. read more

By far the best Starbucks around. Drinks are constantly the same, made right. I get a specific quad shot over ice. The baristas will even ask if I prefer ice or cream first. Making it right and learning from the customer is important to them. They just the art of coffee making. read more

This is not a "real" Starbucks, but a "licensed" dealer. So your Starbucks card will not work properly. I.e. No free refills on coffee. When I pointed it out, the barista acted extremely snobby and arrogant, as though I ought to have known. He was very dismissive and made the visit unpleasant. Additionally, noise echoes inside of the store. It's a great place to study if every single person is being quiet. But once one kid or one loud person comes in, the atmosphere is distracting. I was disappointed. read more

if i could give this place less stars i would! i have lived in annapolis my whole life and never had an expericence like this at any coffee shop. not only was my coffee filled with grinds, but the customer service at this store specifically is remarkably poor. when dealing with any issue, if there is a line the staff becomes confused and frantic. they also seem to find it pleasing to be unhelpful to an unhappy customer, simply sending them to the "Starbux" phone line with a smirk. i could even as much as hear workers behind the supervisor laughing with the rude remarks that were being made. i am a regular at the harbor center where i have never had an issue. one trip here and i wont ever go back. long lines, poor management and bad coffee. read more

One of the better Starbucks around! I first starting coming here in 2010 because the company I had worked for made me deliver to Annapolis. So I decided to take advantage and bring my laptop to do some homework! Plenty of space, employees are always quick to help out and get your drinks ASAP. Plus, they do not bother you no matter how long you stay to use the WIFI. I mean have stayed there for several hours before and nobody has said anything. I always try to buy something so I feel that I am at least contributing to keeping the place open. People who usually hang out here are really friendly and I enjoy meeting new people while drinking my Grande Mocha! read more

On Friday, I did it the smarter way and ordered ahead online, then picked up from the Mad Eggs food truck in the rear, which worked out way better. I went for breakfast and ordered a scrapple, egg, and cheese biscuit ($10) and breakfast tots ($4.25). The order took about 20 minutes, which honestly wasn't bad considering how packed it was around 9:00 a.m. I even noticed people waiting in their cars before heading up to the truck, so the timing felt realistic given the volume. If I had more time, I would've waited without an issue. Food-wise, everything was good, but I had mixed feelings. The biscuit sandwich tasted fine, but for $10, I expected more. It wasn't loaded, and at that price point it just didn't quite make sense to me--I know that sounds sarcastic, but it's hard not to compare when it's a simple scrapple, egg, and cheese. The breakfast tots, on the other hand, were the better deal. I liked these a lot. The portion made more sense for the price, and I really liked that you're encouraged to customize them. That part was right up my alley. With all the topping options, I do wish they offered a sauce or gravy option (like sausage or country gravy), but even without that, this is something I'd order again and again. The coffeehouse itself is small but clean and quaint, with a few tables. Parking out front is very limited--maybe five cars--but there's more space in the back near the food truck, and there's a rear entrance, which is probably the best move. Staff was friendly and efficient, and even from inside you can tell things are run pretty smoothly. I don't drink coffee, so I can't speak to that side much, but I've had food brought home from here before by my wife and really enjoyed the matcha tea smoothie in the past. Overall, I'd definitely return. I think Rise Up does a good job in general, and I've enjoyed their Severna Park and downtown Annapolis locations before. I just expected more out of a $10 biscuit sandwich--but I'd happily come back for the tots and other menu items.

You can ready a book, buy a book, relax or just chat it up with a new friend you meet there or the friends you bring along. Yes it's not just coffee it's a bookstore with a real live mascot in Ferguson the friendly Bernice Mountain dog. Check out the drink specials it will be worth your while to order one because can't get them year around. The pasties or good as well, just ask them to heat them up because they are cold! My only complaint is they didn't heat up our pastries and by time I sat down I don't want to get back in the long line to ask them to heat them up. Of course I could just skip the line but did I mention it's small and cramped to navigate. There is a downstairs so be sure to check it out. My tips is to order what you want, say hi to Ferguson and stay a while.

Substantively, the quality of baked goods was high. Coffee cake, does not, I learned recently contain coffee; it's simply meant to be eaten with such a beverage. I got mine with a chai over some good quality oat milk. I could imagine the experience having gone smoother, but I would return if I found reason to be in Annapolis.

My daughter enjoyed her iced coffee and my mom LOVED her peach smoothie. The interior is very welcoming and cute. They have many choices for beverages and some lunch items too. I also got a dessert bar called peanut butter bliss that was very sweet and delicious. I definitely will return here since it is very close to the Annapolis mall and easy to get to from there.

WIth the exception of a few people working, it was not very busy, so we were assisted immediately.The staff member who took the order was cordial and efficient. We ordered the beverages, took the stand with the order number to our table and awaited the drinks to be served. The time between ordering and receiving our beverages was between 5-10 minutes. The lattes were served in the usual plastic Tatte cup, so it had the typical presentation. From the first sip, we realized that the drinks were watered down with essentially no flavor. At best, there was a hint of chai flavor, but definitely not on par with others I have ordered elsewhere. I would return again because of the location and ambiance, but I certainly would not purchase another chai tea latte.
