Place: This is place is probably my go to place to study. It is really spacious and kind of place to get out of campus and university life. I like how isolated it is and everyone is studying (most of the times) Service: The service is good and they are really nice if you want a refill when studying long hours for exams/projects. I recently into the nitro cold brews (pumpkin spice to be exact) Food/price: The price is your typical starbucks amount :) Audience: More older adults and occasionally families stop by! Recommend/tips? I would recommend this place if you want your own space. It is really nice because after a long day of studying you can either get a 7/11 slurp or grocery shop at kroger OR there are really good asian food/bakery nearby + an asian grocery store. ALSO for university students that do not have a car you can take the bus (northwood) -your welcome!

Witches brew frappuccino with chia seeds. I've been told it tastes like Froot Loops. Yummy my favorite cereal.

Love Starbucks but need to have more stock of promo items like the special drinks or promo cups. Not everyone is a day shift worker or can be out and about..How about making a dark green refillable cup for those who misded the red and offer 25 cents off refills

The space is rather small and it gets packed pretty quickly; and in the winter it's quite cold and drafty. However: I got my drinks and refills in an adequate amount of time, the lines weren't awful, outlets were by each table (always hard to find those!) and the WiFi was consistently good. Music wasn't too loud or obnoxious either. Makes for a good place to get work done.

This is one of my favorite SB locations. It's one of the newly styled Starbucks with the 'reclaimed urban wood' tables. The restrooms are private and well kept. The staff is really friendly and they joke around a lot with customers. There's a mix of students, freelancers, and suits that frequent this place. It's definitely popular amongst the young stylish Korean student set. It's not uncommon at night for a couple of students to bring in a board game and take over a couple of tables. If you're gonna put in a long work session, I recommend ordering your drink in a mug or glass. The foamy espresso drinks taste better, it's environmentally friendly and you save 10 cents. I'm not sure what trips people up about the drive-thru here, but if you value your car don't park near that traffic flow. There's plenty of free parking all around this complex so finding a spot anywhere else shouldn't be a hassle. It can get pretty busy here sometimes, but most of the regulars are really laid back and invite others to share table space. Student tips: 1) Save your receipt. Often times, SB offers extra savings on purchases after 2pm if you buy something in the morning. Also, if you review the location through their site online you can score a discount or a free drink. 2) Outlets are all around the cafe, which makes it very student friendly. 3)There's a lot of natural lighting and the tables around the nook near the back door are really great if you're looking for a quiet sunny spot to work. 4) The water in the cafe is triple filtered. So don't buy the expensive bottled stuff. Just ask for a trenta water or bring your own container and ask if they'll fill it up. 5) Tip your barista. They customize orders for you, remind you about ongoing specials, and hook you up with free samples. 6) If you're in a study group, share a French press coffee. It's fresh and economical. 7) No one minds if you bring in outside food

I went to the first location, right in the heart of U of M and the line was out the door. So I then went to the other location which seemed larger inside with plenty of seating. So I approach the counter and place my order: iced banana foster with peanut butter cold foam (up-charge). Before ordering I did ask if the banana flavor was subtle or more forward tasting and she stated it was subtle so I asked for more banana flavoring as well. When I got the drink - I first noticed the foam was missing - so I asked about this and she said it was because the cold foam frother was broken. So I asked why was I charged for foam if it was broken and she said she forgot and didn't offer a refund or anything and I was running late, so I left. I take a sip in the car and notice that there's absolutely no banana flavor to the drink - it tasted like a basic iced latte with cane syrup. Overall, just disappointed with the service and drink itself lacking flavor and the up charge for something I didn't receive. Maybe this was a one off but I don't I'd return.

I appreciate the efforts they put into community building and local craft. But none of that is why I'm here... I stopped in on my way to work yesterday to get a cup of coffee and decided I'd better write a review about what I got. Many of the reviews below mention the great coffee that Zingerman's provides. But as a coffee drinker of 30 years, I can confidently say Zingerman's roasts the MOST BITTER coffee I've ever had. I guess it's a product for connoisseurs, but I am a little disappointed they don't have a normal coffee that tastes good. They only have burnt tasting, extraordinarily bitter coffees that make a British IPA beer taste watery. What's up with that? Why no mellow coffee at Zingerman's?? Also, if the cream curdles as soon as I add it to the coffee, I'm grossed out. If I want curds in my coffee, I'll dump some cottage cheese in there. What I prefer is a nice, smooth, creamy cup of drip coffee. There's really nothing better!

From the written menu, I thought this was going to be butterfly pea powder, cinnamon, almond milk, maple syrup, coconut whipped cream. However, when ordering the Blue Whale drink on the self serve order kiosk, it's described as "Blue Majik" spirulina/energy boosting botanicals (carbonated). The drink I got fit the latter's description. Would suggest updating the board :). I did get a little jittery afterwards, but unsure if that was from the "energy boosting" botanicals or from a coffee I had a couple hours earlier. (Or combo - I do tend to be more sensitive to caffeine, and assuming this drink was caffeine free.) Free WiFi and seating/outlets to do a bit of work here.
