The black beans weren't pureed in but were few and far between (I think I maybe counted 2 or 3?). In addition to my hand pie I also ordered a piece of the billionaire's shortbread but they didn't ring it up/prepare it. By the time I realized it (I had to wait for my hand pie to be heated up) it was only a few minutes before close so I didn't bother going back up to the counter to reorder. IDK if they were just in a hurry to close or genuinely didn't hear my order but it was a bummer since it did look great. The vanilla latte, however, was quite good. And for a coffee shop that's most important.
