There are a lot of Starbucks locations within this vicinity, but there is a reason I like this location better than most -- it's spacious. The one on the other side of Old Milton is SMALL and seating got even more limited due to remodeling, and the Avalon location is always busy due to their mall guests. This location is newer and feels a lot cleaner, and there is plenty of seating here as well. The only complaint I have about this location is that it closes so damn early -- but I feel like that's every Starbucks now ever since COVID. There are passwords for the bathrooms here as well so you don't have the risk of loiterers and you feel safe here. Baristas here are generally nice and they are usually good with making their drinks -- I come to Alpharetta often and this is usually my go-to Starbucks, especially if I'm going with a group of people. read more

I don't really have much bad to say about this Starbucks location. It's across from the Avalon CFA. I went in on a Saturday evening and the place was almost completely empty, besides 2 other people. This Starbucks is a large, spacious, open one. Very big and nice compared to the other one on Old Milton. That one is super small and always crowded. I like having this as an alternative on the same street, just further down on it. I got a Venti Pink Drink (I know I'm basic but this is actually so good on a hot summer night) with light ice. And it was actually light on ice! I also had a $5.00 gift card and had no problem paying the extra 23 cents on another card. It tasted really good, but there were barely any strawberries in it. Other locations I've been to have given more. Still a great drink though and I think I will be visiting this location more. read more

When my driver (Officer Ritchey, referred to as Alpha) pulls into the drive through, I immediately smell the redolence of fresh coffee beans and whipped cream. Actually, I could smell it before we even reached the window. I get excited, I get up from my nap, start to stretch, and ease my way toward the front compartment of our car. The friendly staff greet Alpha and then pay no attention to him as soon as they see me. They shoot his phone with a laser gun and give him the freshest piquant latte he has ever had. They hand over a smaller cup, and that's when things get exciting. A Puppuccino, also known as a little cup of heaven. To you it may smell like whipped topping, but not to me. I can smell every single delicious ingredient used to make it thanks to the over 200 million olfactory receptors in my nose. He pulls off to the side and makes me wait. Alpha holds it in front of me and I want it so bad. My eyes start twitching, ears shaking, paws trembling and I start salivating. It's so hard not to just dive in, but I have to wait until he tells me "free". My best defense is to just look away. FREE! He finally gives me the OK! I know I'm a lady, but there is no holding back. I dive in! My little black nose turns white. My large tongue swishes through the Puppuccino, sometimes slinging the excess all over Alpha's uniform. But this girl don't care! Every drop is enjoyed and nothing left behind. All is good now. I give Alpha some sloppy kisses as my token of appreciation and go back to sleep. The only thing better is when he puts me to work, using my nose to keep the streets of Alpharetta drug free. Thank you Starbucks, I'm a happy dog. This was supposed to be a iced pumpkin spice latte with pumpkin cold foam.They first made them hot, I told them at the window that it was wrong they corrected it and added cinnamon.I know there's pumpkin spice topping on the drink but the cinnamon??? and no cold foam ?? Brand new location directly across Old Milton from them Avalon. Love that new building smell, man. Very spacious. Loft feel to the place. Ten tables on the brick patio sitting underneath five of those familiar green Starbucks canvas umbrellas. Lots of room to spread out and work. Staffed by some of the nice folks who worked previously at the location at Hwy 9 and Mansell. Ordered via app and when I went to pick up my order, was surprised by how cold it was. I was amazed at how I was completely ignored by staff (even though there were 3 people working). I have never entered a Starbucks and left without being greeted. I guess there is a first time to everything. The store was very spacious and there were a lot of guests. I visited this location in Alpharetta, GA over the weekend. I ordered one of the holiday flavored espresso drinks (Chestnut Praline Latte) to go prior to heading back to SC. This drink did not live up to my expectations, while I ordered it extra hot I didn't realize until I was in the car that it was barely hot and a few miles into my trip was not warm enough for me to enjoy any longer, The espresso taste was not prominent even though I ordered an extra shot. The staff at this location is not willing to serve their customers properly. I've sat in line for 10 minutes to order a drink but when I got my drink because of the time that I spent waiting in line I left to allow other customers to get through the line quicker. My drink was not what I had ordered and it was not hot. Due to time constraints I had to come back two hours later to let them know that I only had one sip because it simply was not what I ordered. I asked them if they could get me a gift card so I could use it next time and they said no, so I asked for them to at least get me what I had ordered originally. Four stars?! Seriously?! I go to this Starbucks approx twice a month after lunch because it's the closest to my office. I went through the drive through once in the past and ordered a grande coffee with cream and one pack of sugar in the raw. I was given black coffee. I kindly told the guy at the window what I asked for in my coffee and he literally put a splash of cream and poured, what looked like, 8oz of white sugar into my coffee and handed it back to me. I left because what was the point of arguing when I needed to get back to work. So I decided to go inside to order my coffee from that point on. No big deal, right? WRONG! Another time they ran out of creamer. I walked the container to the counter, while they blankly stared at me, and kindly told them they were out of creamer. There was no, "Oh, let me refill that for you" or "thanks for bringing that to our attention." There were no words that came out of the persons mouth. He took the canister from me, refilled it, and set it back on the counter. I kindly said thank you and took the canister back to the condiment station. I assure you, there were no kind words going through my head at the time, but I got my coffee and therefore, I was content. Today! I go in. There is NO line. I stood at the counter for at least a good few minutes waiting to order. There are several people working. I know they see me. One of the guys says, "yeah?" while passing by the register. I kid you not! What the hell kind of customer service is this?? On top of that, I got a warm cup of coffee, not hot, warm. Now I'm annoyed. All I ask for is a hot cup of coffee. Just plain brewed coffee. Is that too much to ask for?? Now you have brought me to the point where I am forced to write a negative review. I was willing to overlook the terrible customer service as long as I got what I needed, a hot cup of coffee. but the warm coffee today, in addition to the terrible customer service, was the straw that broke the camel's back. It's a really pretty Starbucks, and I was more forgiving when they were brand new, but this staff needs training. They are often slow and clueless, and it's a shame because I prefer coming here because of the drive-thru. They routinely forget my food when I order coffee and sandwiches-- as I write this review I am parked waiting for someone to bring them out because I was holding up the drive thru line. I ordered one of their sunset menu granitas, they had to remake it at least twice because by their own admission no one knew how to make it. In the end, it came out like a frappuccino-textured lemonade with a tea floater and I'm still not sure if that was right. Don't bother ordering Secret Menu items here. I'd love to try the fabled pink, purple, or orange drinks, but if they can't even get their own menu straight, I doubt they would even know the secret stuff. read more

I live over at Avalon and I choose this location because they have a drive thru and it's super close and always fast. However this morning I had a HORRIBLE experience- they finally opened back up after being closed due to COVID and I decided to go back and continue my support. The older guy at the window with an Australian accent is usually amazing but this morning basically threw my food at me, I asked a question and his reply was "not sure" and laughed at me. I then asked for one more thing before leaving (two straws) and he looks at me and forces them at me to get out of their line basically. Look I've been a fellow barista too - I worked for Starbucks for a year while in college. I get it morning shift is there by 4-5am but this kind of attitude is completely unacceptable and actually hurtful. This Starbucks has always been my favorite activity of the day considering I work from home and don't go out due to the pandemic - I love getting to say hello to them all. First time I visited this Starbucks I was happy to find it was within walking distance of my place. They got my drink perfect the first time and almost every time since too! I was super excited to find a place so close to where I live. The WiFi was a bit slow originally, but they have since gotten the full Google Starbucks internet (speeds up to 60mbps, was barely 1mbps before) and it is awesome! The Starbucks by Avalon is very nice and spacious, but that is where the good review ends. The staff really need supervision or additional training. It's 7:30am on a Sunday - three people working, two of which are in the back, and one person working drive through. It took a while, but the young lady working drive through came over. I had to repeat my order twice (bagel toasted with cream cheese) and was met with attitude. I frequent Starbucks daily so trust me when I say, this is not usual.
