I stopped by the Starbucks at 2450 Salem Rd., Conyers, GA 30013. I usually order a coffee and ask for a short cup of whipped cream on the side so I can add it myself. It's a small preference, but it really makes a difference in how I enjoy my drink. Unfortunately, the manager gave me a hard time about it, saying that it affects their bottom line and is too expensive. She said I was asking for too much (a cup, a lid, and a spoon) and made me feel uncomfortable for requesting it. She told me I'd have to pay for it next time. I offered to pay right then, but she declined and told me to just pay on my next visit. When I returned, I asked again, and the drive-thru employee also gave me a hard time. She told me she couldn't give it to me in a cup, only in my drink, and that the district manager set that rule. She said she'd give me a pup cup "just this time," but those are meant for animals. I explained that I like to add the whipped cream myself and that I was more than happy to pay, but she said they can't charge for it. told her this is how I prefer my coffee, so I may not return. She said she was sorry I felt that way but had to follow policy. I only visit this Starbucks once a month or every other month because I don't live in the area. But I've been to many other Starbucks locations, and I've never had an issue... except for one other store. Most locations give me the short cup of whipped cream without a problem. And if I'm ever asked to pay (which is rare), I gladly do it just to avoid confusion and get my drink the way I like it. I've never been made to feel like such a small request was a burden. Another notch in the Starbucks belt! I must have attached my original review to the wrong Starbucks. This is not in the barns and noble... that is a different location! This is located on the corner of Alpharetta Hwy and Mansell. Kitty corner to the Krispy Cream in a shopping area. There is no drive through here. You have to go in. The inside is large! There are about 20 tables and just tons of room in between. Lots of people working in here and just hanging out. Although there were a lot of people it was not loud. They were swift, kind, and made a great decaf caramel macchiato... It's a nice location to hang out in if you are needing to kill a little time... like I am waiting on my apt to get my oil changed. The area around this location is busy! Lots of traffic. So be prepared. Great location... good space... nice people... win win win! read more

This is a fairly large Starbucks. There are plenty of tables and chairs for studying or working. The only downside to this location is that there is no drive-thru. You have to park and go inside if you want a beverage. There is a little bit of parking in front and on the side of the building, but there is a larger lot behind the store. I ordered a caramel macchiato. It was good. It was smooth and creamy. It reminded me of the "cafe con leche" that I used to drink in Spain. I'll definitely return here anytime I want to meet someone for networking purposes. read more

Had a very pleasant experience in this Starbucks location. The store and employees demonstrated an abundance of caution in these covid times, with no indoor seating, floors labeled for social distancing, employees masked, a plexiglass barrier, and a hand sanitizer station. As a nurse, I really appreciated this! We ordered a matcha green tea latte with soy milk and a vanilla latte. Both drinks were perfectly prepared and were made quickly. I have to give a shout out to the red haired girl working the cash register. She was so friendly and cheerful, definitely the nicest Starbucks cashier I've ever come across! read more

This seems like a pretty decent Starbucks with all the offers you'd expect of a Starbucks. It's a pretty large space, but it also gets a lot of traffic; too bad there is no drive-thru. It still has a lot of potential with some training for the staff. When I came in this morning I wasn't greeted right away and stood at the counter waiting before they took my order for a coffee. After getting my coffee I noticed the 3 employees working were more interested in talking to each other about Chick Fil-A and personal lives than helping the other customers. What's a glazed donut without some coffee? Am I right or am I right? We were right across the street at Krispy Kreme and spotted this Starbucks while waiting in line for our donuts. After the trek crossing a major intersection twice, we made it to the Holy Land. Once inside, we quickly decided on our orders and made them right away so we could head back to Krispy Kreme. To my dismay, the baristas were talking it up with a cop (whom, of course, I should owe some respect). But as a result, no drinks were being made, and we just stood there and stared until the cop left before the baristas got to work on our drinks. Talk about hitting all my addictions, can't wait to visit the Starbucks in Colorado and Washington to see what they got going on at those shops! Along with beer and wine this Starbucks also offers a special menu of small plates such as a Blue Brie cheese plate, an artichoke and goat cheese flatbread, and Truffle Mac n cheese, as well as special desserts such as Chocolate fondue, Salted caramel cheesecake brownie. Wine and beer are available after 4pm. The wine is available by glass for $6-$10 or bottles for $29 and up. Beers are $4-5. Making the prices for alcohol better than the prices for coffee drinks! HEY EVERYONE - THIS IS ONE OF THE FEW STARBUCKS LOCATIONS TO OFFER BEER/WINE AND SMALL PLATES IN THE EVENINGS! Did you hear that?! Booze at Starbucks! Right now this branch is the guinea pig for the beer/wine/food concept. I'm so glad this place is the guinea pig - it's large, spacious, good location and a great staff. A lot of Starbucks that I visit are small, cramped and labeled as "cozy." I don't like that. I like to spread out. I take up room. My purse needs it's own chair, people! This was the perfect place to meet a girlfriend and chit-chat over coffee on a rainy Sunday afternoon. I had some gift cards to burn and the man behind the register was really nice. I told my friend to use the remaining balance on my card because I never come here without a gift card and the man behind the registered jumped in on the conversation and made us laugh. We got to talking about the new ideas rolling out and he interjected into the conversations at just the right time to make us chuckle without being creepy. A fine line to teeter on, my friend. I ordered a tall Chai Tea Latte, my friend ordered a sandwich and a venti iced black tea. I don't know the total because my gift cards covered them both. Woo! Yay gift cards! Despite the line that was building, the man running the expresso/milk steamer was on the ball. My drink was ready less than two minutes later. Yep, that's my Tall Chai Tea Latte buddy! Finding a place to sit was easy in this place. We could have opted for some comfortable looking leather chairs, but we found a small table instead. There were quite a few people meeting up and chatting, but the noise level never got too loud. We must have come at the perfect time, too, because when we sat down the line got really long. My drink was exactly what I ordered - hot and flavorful. I'm a big fan of Chai Tea Lattes and enjoyed making them when I worked at Starbucks in high school (notice that name drop, eh). Nothing fancy about my drink - warm and simple. We sat and chatted for two and a half hours and never once felt rushed. No one ever made us feel unwelcome or stared at us to make us move. The line ebbed and flowed, people came and went, but there was never a time when anyone was looking around for a seat. I'll definitely be back to try the beer/wine and small plates menu. This Starbucks location is a terrific place to work, away from work. Every time I visit, I get a ton done...and a nice cup of joe to go along. The single drawback is that it's really noisy inside. They serve a lot of food, and their oven has this beep that reminds me of an infusion pump alarm in a hospital. And it's REALLY loud. Sometimes, when they're busy, they just let the thing beep. A bucket list entry would be taking a shotgun to the thing. Seriously though, as Starbucks go, this is a good location with plenty of seating inside and out. read more

Happening to be a tad early to meet my boss, and oddly craving coffee (yes, I called to see if he wanted any!) I swung by here on my way to start the day. I have been a loyal Starbucks fan for over a decade and besides the quality of coffee they serve, I really appreciated the great customer service its customers. Unfortunately, at this Starbucks location, I got neither.. With a lady behind the counter who did not as much as acknowledge my presence with minimum courtesy eye contact, she laid the coffee cups I ordered for my family on the counter and never told me they were ready. She did not even bother to ask for our names so she could let us know the order was ready. Follow that by a mouthful of coffee grounds as I got to the last 1/8 of my lukewarm decaf cup of coffee. This location is easily accessible -- there are multiple entrances to the shopping center from all directions. There is ample parking. This is a large building with a ton of indoor and outdoor seating. It's a great location if you are not in a rush and would love to sit down and sip on your coffee as you study or read the newspaper. HOWEVER, do not come here if you are in any sort of mild rush. As multiple previous reviews have already highlighted, the baristas at this store have ZERO sense of urgency. There is one barista that is alway working when I visit and she only work at one speed, snail speed. She walks, talks, makes drinks at the same pace as a snail. There were 3 people working -- one cashier, one barista, and one guy who just refilled containers (also at snail pace). No one was ordering drinks, nothing needed to be refilled, so I'm not sure why they didn't help with fulfilling orders. I was waiting for my drink for 15 minutes (only 3 people were ahead of me) and I just wanted to jump back there and make my own drink so I could leave. Other customers were also anxious as they were checking if their drinks were done... but nope, nothing in sight. read more

Starbucks are the same no matter where you go. They have their consistency down pact and the only difference with each is customer service and seating areas. This location has great seating inside the stood with tables for a couple or a group, single loungers, Bart top tables and a wonderful outdoor patio. This location put in a back patio that is covered and shady with fans and heaters for the Winter. No need for umbrellas that can be iffy when it's a rainy day. There are no outlets on the patio but I expect that. Customer service- I have only had an issue with one cashier who to me always comes off as the most miserable person ever. She isn't friendly and frankly when I walk in and see her I am only wishing someone else comes up to take my order. Soft spoken but just not a happy camper and not a way for me to start my day. If you have some work to do on your laptop this is a great Starbucks to hit up, chances are you will find a decent seat most times of them day. read more

I like this Starbucks. First of all, it does NOT have one of those horrendous drive thru windows. Bleh. I ordered a tall green tea latte as usual, but forgot to ask for it iced. Well I went back and asked for a cup of ice, so that I could pour it over the ice, since it was totally my own fault for not specifying iced. Well the employees there would have NONE of it! They insisted that they make me another, the way that I wanted it. WOW! NOW THAT'S THE STARBUCKS I GREW UP WITH AND HAVE COME TO LOVE, and consider my safe space away from all the stress of the world. Additionally, The interior is huge, with lots of tables, outlets, couches, and outdoor seating. So you plenty of space to relax, have some coffee, and/or get some work done. ( I won't post any pictures, because the last time I took photos at a Starbucks the drama queen shift manager there, LITERALLY, FREAKED - THE - F - OUT, and called the police. Cashier stood there rubbing/picking his eye instead of taking my order. Finally I asked, "Are you ready?" And he responds, "Yeah." So I ordered a decaf, and he says they don't have any. I asked for a pour over and he says they don't do that here. So I settle for a decaf Americano (at a higher price) and then the other woman working there says, "Oh we have decaf." The cashier says, "Well it wasn't labeled." So he then proceeds to handling my cup and lid while pouring my decaf, with the same unwashed hands he had knuckle deep into his eye socket a minute ago. HOSTILE ENVIRONMENT, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE and SANITARY CONCERNS. On 1/11/19 @ 6:57am, l ordered a latte. I politely asked the cashier to inform the barista that l prefer to place the lid on my beverage. The cashier made the barista aware, and the barista turned to the cashier and yelled rudely "what"! The cashier informed her that the customer prefers to place the lid on her drink. The cashier then yelled loudly as if she was offended, " l will put the drink down and hand her the lid"! I felt the need to explain why l wanted to do it this way. I politely explained to the Barista that everytime l come to this location you are hostile and rude to employees and staff. I told her that "l like to taste the drink before l leave because they are often inconsistent and l noticed that you rub your hands on your legs, apron, wet cloth"... She became upset with me and placed my lid on the dirty counter where customers place their elbows, hands, cell phones... l tasted the drink it was not sweet at all. The barista deliberately left the syrup out of my drink because she was offended by my request. I asked to speak to the on duty manager. When speaking to him he seemed extremely intimidated by the Barista and uncomfortable addressing my concerns. I told him that the barista is always hostile towards me and rude to her co workers. I told him that she became offended just because the cashier and l told her that l would like to place my own lid on the beverage. I tried my best to avoid telling her that her drinks are inconsistent and that she touch everything and then place her entire hand on the mouth portion of the lid. I also told him that placing the lid in a non prep area could cause people to become sick. The supervisor claimed that he would address her immediately. On my way out of the door the Barista did not have any customers and the manager just stood there with a silly look on his face as if he dosen't have the power to address unethical behavior. There is no doubt that that other customers and and employees have experienced the same thing and failed to report it. This female barista was like this 2 months ago. She is extremely hostile, her co workers and manager look timid and intimidated. THIS IS BAD FOR BUSINESS. read more

This location is one of only a handful of Starbucks locations in the US offering the new Evenings menu of Wine, Beer and Small plates after 4pm. They have slightly remodeled this location with newer sofas, dividing walls, and additional patio seating. Makes for a very comfortable place to work, converse, or relax. The service here is always smooth and the baristas have an eclectic nature that is fun to experience. Rave reviews from me and other patrons who have participated in the new Evenings experience. This place is very time sensitive, it's not unusual for the morning crew to be running behind... They ignore thefact that you're waiting outside and clearly have no intentions of opening the door. Working with Emily this morning you would've thought I was trying to get my car registered the with the Department of motor vehicles. The customer is always on point and every singe time I order something it is already correct, every mobile order and walk in is always right. All my drinks are always tasty, at the correct temperature ALWAYS! The selection is always through and a variety to chose from as I love to buy coffee and the cups from the store as well. This Starbucks is really a terrific place - bigger than most outposts (seriously, it's HUGE) and with a staff friendly enough to make up for the fact that they have no drive-through, it's an excellent choice if you're craving a $4 cup of coffee with enough calories and sugar to make you wonder why you didn't just get a milkshake! Seriously, though, this place is all right. It seems like their bakery and food case always has more options than any other Starbucks (on my last visit, I spotted truffled mac and cheese!) and they're one of a very small number of Starbucks in the country with a license to serve wine and beer. This Starbucks is in a wonderful location that's easily visible from Alpharetta highway. I had some time to kill before leaving town so I stopped here. Not only was the staff courteous and efficient, but the location was very clean and well-managed. I drank my latte outside and although the outdoor seating area doesn't have that great of a view, it's kept very tidy by the staff. I will definitely come back to this location whenever I am in town. Fresh coffee, Great location, friendly associates.. well accept for 1.Im not a picky "double mocha latte, splash of hazlenut, soy, and ice kinda guy. I grab a dark roast after work and wait for the infamous " Atlanta traffic" to die down before I head home towards the airport. There is a young hispanic women who works there that just might need a quick brush up course on customer service. The first offense (that i brushed off) was when I came in to order some coffee and she was the barista at the register. i had exact change on me and my card was in the car. I usually tip if I had some extra singles on me..but this was one of those times where i simply had a couple of dollars in cash. When I paid she sarcastically replied, " do I get to keep the penny? yay Im rich!" That was last week. The last straw was as Im sitting here today and shes vacuuming by my feet and under my table without saying excuse me or, pardon or even hello. Thats pretty rude, and disrespectful. And showed a major lack of respect for a paying patron who happens to be a manager of a local business in the area..
