Warm Waves lives up to its name. You can't help but feel transformed as if you're near the beach with its bright interior and friendly staff behind the counter. Their regular coffee is good (out of an extensive drink menu including seasonal specials) and they have a decent breakfast menu. I like the variety of seating in this coffeehouse. There's the main room with lots of tables, high-tops, and couch. I definitely appreciate that there's signage on some tables to mind your time of 2 hours if you're working there. There's also a separate sunny porch area that is much quieter than the main room. When the noise level inside got a little loud with music and typical coffeehouse chatter, I moved outside. You'll find plenty of outdoor seating. I just wish there was a little more shade. I came here to meet with friends on a Fri morning. Thankfully parking wasn't too much of an issue but I can see the small private lot being a challenge for large groups. I'm definitely a fan of the pretzel roll I ordered - contrary to its name, it looks like a nothing like a roll but more like a savory flattened croissant which had some slight amount of protein (can't remember if it was chicken or ham) inside. The coffee was good - I try not to be swayed by the beautiful trendy drinks most coffeehouses are serving. I'd certainly come back to this cafe if I were in the area. read more

Delicious lattes (also top notch matcha not pictured here), pretty and cozy aesthetic, but had to give 4 stars just because parking is always chaotic and stressful. I know it's not really anyone's fault, especially being in a downtown area, but this is the tiniest, tightest parking lot ever for these busy local businesses that all have to share. Even with the parking lot and coffee house being as packed as it always is (at least every time I visit), I still find it worth it because of the quality of service and ingredients. Since I'm usually by myself, I can get away with squeezing in between others at one of the larger high top tables, but if you are coming with friends, colleagues, or family be warned that it may be quite difficult to find seating all together. read more

A residential home in Downtown Alpharetta thats been completely remodeled. It looks small from the outside but don't be fooled. Big open floor plan with plenty of comfortable chairs tables and soft couches. With lots of natural light I found people remote working, conversing or reading. A family owned business with a modern motif and a cool vibe. After perusing the menu I went with the Strawberry Danish and a Carmel Macchiato. The danish was delicious and my Macchiato bold and flavorful. I had to get it to go because I was running late so I didn't get a chance to snap by a photo. This place is perfect for a morning coffee and breakfast for one or two people, but not for groups. I came here with three other people, and there was not enough seating for us to be able to sit together. I ordered a Cortado and a chocolate croissant. The ambiance was nice and relaxing, and the people at the counter were kind and efficient. We had trouble finding seats where my whole group would fit because it was so crowded, so we had to split up into two groups of two. The Cortado tasted very good and was pretty, and I could tell the coffee was quality. However, I couldn't taste as much honey as I was expecting. The chocolate croissant was good, but nothing extraordinary. Overall a nice place, but expect the possibility of little to no seating, especially for groups. read more

The coffee shop is BEAUTIFUL! Lots of seating was alittle packed when I went on a weekday morning. The staff are very sweet and quick. I got the berry and cream latte (I think it was called) , off of their seasonal menu and it just wasn't a hit for me. The cold foam on top was delicious but the latte itself with the mixed berry syrup tastes like cough syrup. I couldn't get through it. Latte was beautiful though. Walked over from next door to get a coffee while we waited for a table. An interesting place that has a good sized interior and nice atmosphere. There was no line and 4 people working behind the counter. We walked up and waited. Then we waited some more... and a little more... no one even acknowledged us. We stood there waiting to order and not even a "we'll be right with you". I mean they wouldn't even look at us... like if they didn't see us, but they saw us for sure, we didn't exist. It was really strange. We stood there for a good time until one of the ladies finally said hello to us and apologized for the wait. Just some advice... acknowledge everyone immediately. Let them know you are busy and you will be right with them... it helps with the waiting! I ordered a latte, my wife ordered an Americana and they both came out quickly. Warm Waves is a welcomed addition to downtown Alpharetta. It may even be my new coffee spot in Alpharetta. They're located right off N Main Street in a charming, old (but renovated) house. I believe it shares a parking lot with Flatlands Bayou and Southern Porch. I had lunch at one of the restaurants near Alpharetta City Hall and parked in the parking garage. From there, my friend and I walked over to the coffee shop. It's a lot bigger than it looks. The inside is spacious, warm and inviting. Plenty of seating, including a couple of comfortable looking couches. Great place for working or meeting with friends. There's also outdoor seating. In addition to coffee and tea, the menu also offers a few breakfast items, Five Daughters Bakery donuts, pastries from a local baker and more. I ordered a cinnamon honey oat milk latte, a toffee donut, cinnamon roll, and pumpkin bar. The coffee was nice and strong. The staff warmed the cinnamon roll for us and wowza, probably one of the best cinnamon rolls I've ever had! I wish I remembered the name of the baker. My friend and I shared the roll and scarfed it down quickly. We also shared the pumpkin bar and loved it so much we ordered another one! I can't wait to go back. read more

It was missing the warm flavors you want and was heavy on the spice. But it was hot. Almost all the seats were taken but I found a soft chair and moved when a small table became available. I think I found my new favorite place to work and study. The vibe in the house is great! I say house because the structure is a former home. There is plenty of parking in the back in the lot shared with a handful of other businesses in the area. I was here in the morning around 9am and there was no line to order and my drink came out fast. The coffee is good and is reasonably priced. The seating options are why I love this place. They have regular tables, a large high top bar, and a sunroom that is set up with couches like a living room at home. This room is unique and was full when I got there, but opened up later. So I grabbed a two-top table and got to work. There is also a large patio in the front, that was covered with sun in the morning, so imagine it is shady in the afternoon. They have some umbrellas to cover you just in case. I'll definitely be back! read more

The coffee is flavorful and individually prepared - smooth, rich-flavored, and aromatic without being acidic. The hot chocolate is one of the best I have ever experienced. I've had both the latte and the gingerbread latte, and both were really good. I like that they don't make the flavored drinks overly sweet. What a lovely coffee shop. Stopped in this morning, after driving past for a few weeks, and we were so glad we did. 1- coffee: was wonderful. They have many options, both hot and iced. My husband had an Americano and I had an Ices Chai Latte. Both excellent. They also call their own Chai Latte Concentrate to buy in a bottle and bring home. 2- food: we weren't overly hungry so we chose to share the Breakfast Burrito. I believe they change flavors from time to time but todays was Chicken Tinga with a side of queso and salsa Verde. PHENOMENAL. The potion was perfect for sharing and the flavors were spot on. So fresh, and so yummy. 3- Atmosphere: again, WONDERFUL. The building was clearly and old house they converted and it just feels so cozy. There's several cozy chairs and couches mixed with traditional tables and chairs. There's a fireplace in the center and many areas to enjoy coffee and a book, meet a group or just have breakfast. The music was soft, and upbeat and it was clean and inviting. I look forward to popping over during the week with my laptop to do a little work and enjoy some coffee and the atmosphere. Parking: there's parking behind the building in two different lots. Overall- I FULLY Recommend this place.
