I don't usually write negative reviews, but I felt compelled this time. I pre-ordered 60 pieces of señorita bread yesterday to pick up at 6:30 this morning. When I arrived at 6:30, when they are supposed to open, I couldn't even get inside- the employee was just arriving at that time as well. It took another 20 minutes to get my order. No apologies or anything. During this time, I saw 3 different potential customers come and leave for lack of service. The employee said hi but failed to take anybody's order. I would have left too, but I was picking up the bread because it is my son's 18th birthday today and he asked to take señorita bread to school. As a result, I was late for work this morning. The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is because we really love the taste of the bread. read more

Fresh senioritas from this bakery are one of the best. things. ever. Whenever I get to visit the Bay, I always have to get them in the mornings! These are addicting and the prices for these are so low that you might as well get a whole bunch! It's not too sweet, but just right. And it is buttery but not overpowering at all! It's soft and flaky, and just hits everything right when it comes to pastries/baking. I'm craving this now that I'm reviewing about it! I hope that this little family run place will never go out of business. I would categorize this bakery as a hidden gem. Their other location is in Vallejo, which I believe is the first and original bakery. Both locations sell other Filipino baked goods such as pan de sal and the like, but senioritas are the way to go. read more

Im new to the area and I learned about the senorita bread at Star Bread Bakery. It has quickly become my favorite treat.

Everyone comes here for the seniorita bread which is great. Each one is small, around 3-4", fluffy and soft inside when freshly made, and the part that makes it special - a sugary glaze that gives a very slight crunch before you bite into it. 4.5 stars for the bread, but minus 3.5 stars for the service. The lady who was working there on a Sunday afternoon was very rude. As I wanted to try something beside the seniorita bread, I asked a question and her answers were sarcastic as if it was the dumbest question in the world. When I attempted to pay by card, she pointed at a sign that said their policy was to make a minimum purchase which is fine. It was more the way she pointed and tapped on the sign if I was an animal. English is my native language so not sure why she could have just said so. It's unfortunate that places that do so well cause of the product they sell don't realize that service is part of that product. I recommend that people spend their money at other places that are more grateful to their customers. read more

I really really really really love star bread and would come to this location all the time because it's close and the people so friendly but I have to give it a one star... why do you ask? Well awhile back I went to go pickup a large order (100 pieces) and was waiting for my food to come out and noticed 2 separate roaches crawl across the counter. I immediately went into shakes because I'm terrified of bugs. I guess I should of said something to the owners but I was embarrassed and just paid for the food and left. I'm not saying anything is wrong with the food because I still dream on señorita/star bread but I just can't deal with roaches because I was taught, when there is 1, there usually are hundreds. read more

Yay señorita bread. You can't go wrong with senorita bread. Just make sure when you are ordering you specify if you want 10 pieces or $10 or other amounts. I saw that in the Vallejo Starbread. I've never had a problem with that before, but it makes sense that a mistake like that could be made. read more

I've always gone to the one in Vallejo as it is right around the corner from my office. I was super happy to discover one had opened in Fairfield. They weren't as good. The ones in Vallejo always had a glaze on the outside/bottom, the bottoms have an little bit of carmelization. These were good, but after having had the Vallejo ones for years, they were a disappointment compared to what I'm used to. read more

Better than a Krispy Kreme donut, I think. The butter and sugar combo isn't too sweet that makes you feel like you'll go into diabetic shock like kk. It's hard to not eat one after you get into the car with a box full of the freshly baked bread. They also sell other Filipino goods like pan de sal, hopia, and ube. I only ate the Senorita Bread. Everytime I come the bread is warm and delicious. The only place near Fairfield where I can find some FRESH asian bread. Only sad part is that they have limited hours. The bread is kinda expensive because they are really small and you would consume a massive amount at one time. Senorita bread is fresh and tasty but my rating is because of their customer service. The lady who helped me was quite rude. I told her I was paying with credit card. She swiped it and said "declined" and moved onto the next customer??? I assume she put it under debit because it asked for my PIN. I've never experienced such rude customer service. There was no line, just another customer behind me. I told the lady to try running it under credit. Her reply was, "my machine doesn't lie." Received horrible customer service. I called to place an order for pick up the following day. While trying to confirm my order, the employee I was speaking to said "we're busy right now" and hung up the phone abruptly. When I called back, I spoke with another employee who was not apologetic about what I just experienced. Needless to say I cancelled my order.
