Service was nice, she was super friendly. The seating was also really nice to do work in. I like boba shops to study. However the music and fan were a little annoying so I didn't like that. And the drinks...I got oolong. It was burnt (she said it was rustic...it was burnt and premade). After I told her about it she gave me a taro drink...worse than the oolong so I threw it away. I'm assuming they're not made to order because she got them out in like 2 mins :((. I wasn't going to ask for a new one. She later approached me and gave me a new drink without me asking(mango and mint with popping boba), it was decent and I appreciate the effort. However it wasn't good enough for me to drink all of it. I would say probably go here for fruit drinks but they're okay 6/10. Not for milk tea. Ordered the mango smoothie with crystal boba , it was delicious - although it was pricier than average it was way better than any other smoothie I've had from other boba joints. I've ordered from this place before and usually get the avocado smoothie which is really good and never had a bad experience. However, today I had family from SJ visit me and we wanted to grab boba so I brought them here. Big, big mistake! We ordered 1 honeydew milk tea and 2 jasmine milk teas. As we ordered, the cashier did say "the jasmine little bit strong" which I told her it was ok but little did we know it was EXTREMELY strong! It taste awful! I usually enjoy jasmine tea and this is definitely not it! The moment you take a sip it is very bold and bitter in which leaves a aftertaste almost like perfume. It is disgusting. I came home and poured about half of the cup out and mixed it with my own almond milk which made it taste a *little* better but definitely don't order jasmine tea from here and consider somewhere else. Honeydew was alright not the greatest. Star Tea, please re-consider trying out a new recipe or perhaps not making it this strong. Other than that, service is usually good but after this experience idk if I wanna keep my business here since other places offer better milk tea variety as well as better taste. read more

Been here few times the drinks are not bad, I've had better tea from other places. Today i ordered jasmine milk tea with boba & omg the jasmine tea tasted straight like perfume! Left a bad after taste in my mouth, I took maybe 3 sips and had to toss it that's how bad the jasmine milk tea was it was sooo strong tasting and not in a good way. Won't be back :( read more

literally went ahead and made an account to make this review LMAO to be honest, so glad they opened up another boba place here in Manteca, we've been waiting for one! the drinks in its own are pretty good and their boba is yummy af. there is only one size for all drinks, but its a pretty big and decent size, and the boba to drink ratio is perfect. the sweetness and ice levels are pretty standard. they also serve food which some boba places in manteca don't do, so that's a plus. i highly recommend the garlic fries. customer service is pretty big to me lol, but the staff is super friendly and nice, and ik with some other boba places, some of the other employees get rude real quick, so im hoping that the environment can be just as welcoming as it was for the past two days :) they're definitely still opening and starting to be a business so i would give them some props to have a good standing! excited to see where Star Tea Boba ends up in the future :) read more

Honestly one of the best oolongs I have ever had. And the customer service there is great, very friendly. Very cute place

Today was my second time trying this place. First time I did a pick up order online through DoorDash and they never received the other. Okay fine whatever I waited for them to make it. They suggested I use their app next time through Muncho. I did today around 1:42 and I waited about 15 mins before going to pick it up. I go into the store and there are three teenaged girls on their phones and my order wasn't ready (you can see their machine where my order was popped out on a sticker). They had my order and hadn't bothered starting on it yet. Mind you the store is empty. Got my order at 2:05. Almost 25 mins waiting on a couple drinks and pot stickers. I just think the bad service alone will stop me from coming back. read more

I was so excited when I found out that Manteca is getting another boba shop but sadly this place was disappointing. Paid $7.74 for one drink that was not even good. I ordered a Honeydew smoothie with boba. The drink was overly sweet, it tasted like it was made from an instant milk tea powder mix. The boba was also bland but at least it was chewy. Haven't tried the smoothies or fruit drinks but the milk teas are not good... they do have very good service but it's only because they pre-make the teas. I got the taro tea and you can definitely tell it's artificial flavoring and coloring, not smooth to drink, more of a syrup. read more

Ambiance is nice and place is clean. This review is based on service. I initially came here on their grand opening and the staff was very unprofessional, talking down about their bosses. I also asked if they would be serving popcorn chicken and was informed that they would have it the next day. I came back on a following weekend to give the staff another chance and was informed not until Monday. I then came back the following weekend and unfortunately was informed not until next week. My philosophy is to just be honest with your customer. Just say you're not planning on serving it at this point in time instead of trying to bait people to come back in hopes they will order something else. read more

If you want to experience horrifying nausea and food poisoning then be my guest. I went over this past weekend with my friend and couldn't even finish my vanilla chai without finding burnt, unidentified black chunks (which I think were charred tea leaves?) and then I began to feel extremely nauseous. The friend I came with had to stay home for a day because she got food poisoning from her taro smoothie. For almost $6 a drink I wouldn't recommend it. read more

the boba itself is pretty good, happy with the size of the drink. i got the peach passion fruit tea and it's pretty average. also got the jasmine milk tea and tasted average as well. was surprised by the prices!! $5.99 plus $.75 for each topping!! i've never paid this much for boba. even so, was nice and clean inside. probably will only come if i'm craving a smoothie (they have like 10 diff flavors) or something specific. read more

Brought my daughter in for her birthday. Neither of us had boba before. The ladies behind the counter were very helpful and let us try a couple of samples before we chose what we wanted.
