It's just not what it used to be...I was really hoping to have an opportunity to give a 5-star…read morereview, but unfortunately that won't be happening. My friend and I made appointments for a couples renewal massage after we both had received gift cards. While the robes and somd of the amenities are nice, the massage was really what I was there to enjoy. I was trying my best to not get upset (45, single mom of twin 2 year olds- I needed this break and massage) it just didn't hit the mark. I told the therapist I'd like it firmer and harder and not light touches and I think she must have thought I said the opposite- soft tickling type of massage and she didn't seem to want that style to change. Maybe she's knew but I have never gone up and down (being raised by her foot control) so many times in my life. Maybe she has back problems? My friend asked me afterwards why she was so loud (like I knew why? lol). Several times washing her hands and then threw the robe on my legs after the massage. Miss the exfoliating scrub at the end! Those were wonderful. While the after treatment room is nice, I'm sad to say, this just was such a disappointment. Hoping to have enough funds to give it another try at some point.

I was so excited to see a new one open nearby. I've floated at Ascend twice now, and I love it there. The whole spa is brand new, squeaky clean, and well kept. The lobby is absolutely gorgeous. I've floated once in a wave room, and once in the pod. My personal preference was for the room, but both were very comfortable. The level of mineralization in the water is perfect; you can float with no effort at all. For me, it's more relaxing than a massage. The rooms and showers are clean and well equipped, the rooms are quiet, and truly pitch black when you turn the light off. The owner is so nice and friendly, and the prices are crazy reasonable. You can book online and it's easy to get an appointment, which is important to me. I'm definitely planning to become a regular.

When I was feeling a bit better I scheduled out a few floats excited to float again. However the night before my float I spoke with my doctor and he was against me going at this time. I called the facility 21 hours before the float and left a message describing my situation and my doctor's emphatic request not to as it could exacerbate my condition. I received no call back. The I received an email message that they charged the no show fee. I responded to the email stating the issue, that I called, and when, and nothing was resolved. Now their float packages are even more inaccessible financially. It seems like management cares less about the safety and health of it's patrons than profit. After I exhaust my remaining floats I will no longer be a patron of ascend nor will I recommend it to others

I waited six months with still zero improvement then switched to BURD physical therapy in Fairport! They were skilled/professional, actually had apparatus in-house to heal/strengthen me (Clark did not even have a hand weight available), and spent 60 mins with me every session instead of 20! BURD healed me in four weeks to 100%! Run to BURD and definitely walk right by Clark!

Exercises that I was to begin doing 2 times daily that I was told would be emailed to me day of my first appointment - I finally received 4-days later - afternoon before my 2nd appointment. My email, voicemail and text messages requesting exercise information were all ignored. My 2nd 7 am appointment - therapist no showed. I got a voicemail saying she was sorry but there was no school and she had over slept with kids. I said I would not be be keeping any other appointments. I had paid $75 cash for 1st appointment - based on my experience I sent an email asking for a refund - email was actually acknowledged and even replied to - stating that I would not be refunded for services rendered along with an apology for missed appointment- due to a scheduling error. Thankfully I have found a great therapist who is responsible, on-time and provides me information promised in a timely manner.
