I've floated before at another float spa in the area, but quit going because there were a few things that turned me off, and it was really difficult to get an appointment. I was so excited to see a new one open nearby. I've floated at Ascend twice now, and I love it there. The whole spa is brand new, squeaky clean, and well kept. The lobby is absolutely gorgeous. I've floated once in a wave room, and once in the pod. My personal preference was for the room, but both were very comfortable. The level of mineralization in the water is perfect; you can float with no effort at all. For me, it's more relaxing than a massage. The rooms and showers are clean and well equipped, the rooms are quiet, and truly pitch black when you turn the light off. The owner is so nice and friendly, and the prices are crazy reasonable. You can book online and it's easy to get an appointment, which is important to me. I'm definitely planning to become a regular. read more

was a very satisfied montly member for a few years, then due to health could longer afford to keep up the package. I had a few floats remaining from before I canceled my membership. When I was feeling a bit better I scheduled out a few floats excited to float again. However the night before my float I spoke with my doctor and he was against me going at this time. I called the facility 21 hours before the float and left a message describing my situation and my doctor's emphatic request not to as it could exacerbate my condition. I received no call back. The I received an email message that they charged the no show fee. I responded to the email stating the issue, that I called, and when, and nothing was resolved. Now their float packages are even more inaccessible financially. It seems like management cares less about the safety and health of it's patrons than profit. After I exhaust my remaining floats I will no longer be a patron of ascend nor will I recommend it to others read more

My favorite way to relax and recharge is with a 60 or 90 minute float. This facility is beautiful and worth the drive (it's very out of the way for me). They have separate rooms for each person- one pod and 3 separate rooms. I find with the darkness and the way they built the rooms you don't need the pod. I have the same experience with both. They have a hair drying/lotion/getting ready room for after your shower so you can finish getting dressed and not take up too much time in the rooms. They added an oxygen bar now so you can get some oxygen after your float. They also have complimentary tea and water. The place is so quiet and peaceful, it's such a treat. I absolutely love the place! If you've never had a float I highly recommend it. One tip is I ask to have the music play the whole time - I find it helps me calm down. read more

So I was hesitant to try it again, however I won a free float and was reassured by the owner to come in and give it a try. She instructed be on how to be more comfortable in the water and what to expect. And all I can say is I was so relaxed and had no pain in my neck! It was super clean and beautifully decorated! Disclaimer: Floating is not for me. I was not able to relax enough to enjoy my actual float experience. My review is based on everything else, not my inability to actually relax and enjoy the float itself. I had been wanting to try out a float spa and ascend had a lot of excellent reviews so I took the plunge. When you arrive you are immediately warmly greeted and welcomed to the spa. After you check in, there is a lovely waiting area where you can begin to unwind. Tea, small snacks, and water are available. While you wait for an open pod, you watch a short video that intros you to floating and provides a few tips to get the most of your experience. Once your room or pod is ready (I had a room), you are escorted back and a host explains how to get started. There is a place to undress and you are provided ear plugs. Before you step into the float area, you will shower (appropriate toiletries are provided). Once ready you step into the float area. Inside there is a headrest and some options for dimming the lights and music. As your float time comes to a close, the lights and music come back on so that you are gently brought back to reality. You then shower and are invited to the waiting area to dry your hair, have some tea and snacks, and continue to relax. The staff was extremely friendly, the atmosphere is calming, and the facility is very clean. I recommend trying this to see if it's for you and Ascend is a great place to do so!!! read more

So for years I've heard about float tanks and wondered about them- but honestly- there was no place around. The past few weeks my stress levels have been a 12+ and I've felt awful. I'm making myself physically sick.What's worse is when you know- you need to manage your stress- others can't do it for you. I got it into my head I really needed to do this and booked an appointment. To cut to the chase- when I met owner Katrina- her energy was good. She didnt give off that phoney- let's upsell this jerk vibe. Rather- she's sincere in wanting people to feel better. Katrina had me watch a brief video and then showed me around and gave me complete instructions on what to do. I felt well taken care of by her. I'll be blunt here- going into this I wondered if this was a ripoff- some money making scheme. Would the place be clean? Do I go in here naked? I can tell you- after being shown around- the place is immaculate- it's not a ripoff and in my opinion- wear what you want to float comfortably. At first I did not think I'd want to float in the dark- nor with my arms above my head. I did both and loved it. The entire time was very relaxing- ok at first it was a little weird but I got over it. There was also a couple of points where I was so relaxed and "out there" that I had to be reminded by my consciousness- hey take a breath! There was also a point where my chatterbox mind said- yea ok already let's go! But as in meditation I went back to focusing on my breathing. When the session ended I will caution everyone- MOVE SLOWLY TO GET OUT. After laying there for an hour like jello it takes time to get your land legs again. Also- if after you shower and dress- if you don't feel like you're back in your body- sit in the lounge area. Now I'm not a doctor but I have to tell you- the pain I had in my back- knees and arm- gone! I am still fat however lol. I would definitely go back again. Katrina is a lovely woman. My husband and I have been here twice now and love it. Soothing warm atmosphere as soon as you enter the lobby. Immaculate float rooms with their own showers and changing areas. Soothing music to begin and at the end. A choice of complete darkness or gentle lighting. A complete hour to meditate and relax. At no point have we felt rushed. The owner has welcomed us to enjoy water or tea after the session. We sleep great the night after. So far, we have had no trouble getting an appointment but I fear it will become more difficult as more people discover this gem. read more

I've gone here 3 times now, and i am starting to really notice the benefits of floating. I am more relaxed and have less shoulder tension, and I sleep way better at night. The rooms are always clean, the owner is so sweet and accommodating, and the water is sooo warm. It's to the point I tend to fall asleep, which is wonderful! I had a good experience at the Ascend Float Spa. The owner was incredibly nice and had a clean and quiet facility. My float was enjoyable and I felt more relaxed when it was over. My only hesitation was that this specific ratio of Epsom salt to water seemed to irritate me more than other facilities I have been to. However, it could have been a fluke on the one occasion. Always wanted to try a Floating Spa for my daughter and I. After driving by their sign, since they opened in January 2019, we gave a call to make an appointment and got in at 7:30pm on a Friday night. I've had aches and pains as I suffer from Systemic Connective tissue disease and my daughter also has aches pains and inflammation. We tried the 1 hour session as it came recommend by owner. Owner also recommended the 2 larger rooms with higher ceilings for our first visit. They recommend you shower before and after your float. They also provide a blow drying room down the hall. Before entering float you put your ear Protection comfortably in ears, as provided. You can ask for music to play the whole float time or not. I wasn't aware and would have preferred spa music for my whole float. Instead it played for about 15 minutes in beginning and then would play 15 minutes before you were finished floating, which gives you time for stretching as needed. I only lasted 20 minutes out of 60 as the temperature was set at 94 and dropped down to 88.. I was cold.. Owner let me know it goes up to 96 degrees and put a note on my file for next visit. In all fairness, I'm use to HOT water in my Hot Tub.. My daughter made it through her 1 hour session and loved it. She was relaxed, her joints felt way better and she slept like a baby... Definitely a unique experience worth trying.. We brought our bathing suits, but you don't have too. They also provide towels... read more

Husband and I went for a relaxing afternoon. We loved that they had so many float rooms so we were able to experience floating at the same time (but not in the same room). This is by far the best spot to float in the Clarence/Buffalo area. I have floated at a few other places in state and out of state. This place is brand new, well appointed and very calming space from the moment you walk in the door. They have 4 rooms so scheduling was so flexible. The weightlessness float experience and "sensory deprivation" is so relaxing. Because it is new they have great technology that I didn't see at the other float locations.
