This place is amazing. Hands down incredible. I never would have thought about jumping in cold water or a sauna but this is one of the highlights of my week now. After having knee surgery and my rehab recovery hitting a wall, I started coming here for an extra boost in recovery. I love the contrast therapy and have gotten used to the cycles with cold plunging so it isn't as intense as I thought it would be. The space itself is absolutely stunning. The private rooms are all gorgeous and it is nice to have your own space to really find your peace and zen while you sit in the tub or sauna. Everything is modern and cozy here too which is a nice plus. The staff has been great. So friendly and willing to answer any questions that you have. They always have plans and deals to sign up for too which is nice, especially lately. Overall, this is a really cool concept and the facility is great. I would tell everyone to give it a try at least once. I know I'm going back weekly at this point. read more

We visited Limos a while ago for the first time and it was great. The welcome is very friendly, you get your own personal room with a sauna cabin. Some have a cold plunge too. It's great place to try and enjoy. My wife and I tried the 45-min sauna session the other day, the whole experience is amazing! The owner explained everything very detailed, and then we were left there to enjoy our first sauna experience in WNY. We had it before in Chicago, but in much larger space. This 2-ppl sauce room feels more private and comfortable. We can play our favorite music and enjoy the red light for skin rehab, we can come out and get water anytime, and we can certainly relax and enjoy! We would come back to try the infrared sauna, but definitely recommend this to anyone. It feels recharged after the session, we both felt great and had a good sleep that night, the next day felt much more refreshed. read more

I was introduced to Lumos via an Yelp event! I was hooked. Rachel and staff are so friendly let's start off with that! So after yelp event we had opportunity get a BOGO and discounted membership rates. I took advantage of both! Had my first official visit yesterday, wanted to compare the yelp event experience to the normal people experience (haha) and it was just as good if not better. Check in so easy. They also have an app Mindbody, where you can manage your account from making appointments, seeing your upcoming appointments, buy services etc ..App is easy to use. But you can also do all this at the front desk, with a very friendly staff member, which I preferred. The facility is super clean, and giving off zen vibes. Love the sauna area, you can fit two people very comfortable in there. There is a box for your phone to protect from the heat and play music from your phone. You have everything you need once in there. Robes, towels, glasses, information material to guide you through the colors and what each up targets and a timer. Afterwards you can wipe down with a lovely cold towel with eucalyptus. I need to know how they get this towel so cold and it stays so cold during my thirty min session! I have bad knees and one I had a knee replacement in, I've only done two sessions, but I swear so can feel a difference. Where I normally have slight soreness all the time, I feel that gone or lessen. I had a session yesterday in the afternoon, and actually went for a walk afterwards and did 6.5 miles without even feeling any aches or wanting to stop. That is a true testament, because normally before the sessions by mile 2 I'd start complaining and wanting to stop! I'm a fan! One day I won't be a chicken and do a cold plunge! read more

The saunas at Lumos are an absolutely rejuvenating experience! Tonight was my first experience and I have a feeling I'll soon become a regular! Upon entry, staff greeted me with genuine smiles, I was asked to remove my shoes and then walked to my own private room where they were incredibly helpful explaining how to use the sauna, adjust lighting selections, use the optional infrared lighting and how to connect my cell phone so that I could listen to music or watch a movie while using the sauna. The facility has a clean, simplistic, modern vibe. Each sauna is equipped with everything you need for a perfect retreat (towels, sunglasses, lavender essential oil scented face towel, a timer). I opted for the infrared sauna, and it was heavenly, just what I needed today! I appreciate their focus on wellness and I'm looking forward to trying out their cold plunge next time. Although I'd heard about the concept, this was our first time doing something like this. I tried one of the berry probiotic waters, and needed a tutorial on how to add the cultures, but it was delicious. The customer service was excellent. They explained the process, how everything worked and the benefits, very well. Somehow the polarizing opposite nature of freezing cold vs toasty, worked some how. I'm writing this now 2 hours after our experience and I'm still feeling refreshed. I can't lie, the cold plunge is very Titantic inducing. I felt like I went through thoughts of perhaps I'd die, to wow-I can do this, to yikes I'm actually freezing to death, to hummm it's kinda warm now. Each 2 minute trip in the plunge I stayed a little longer and got deeper and deeper until I was in the recommended fully immersed position from my toes, legs, arms, hands, and base of my head. The Sauna was a very nice contrast. We hooked up our phone and played jazz. Chose our color and just RELAXED!!! Overall, it was an exhilarating 50 minutes! I felt energized afterwards in a way I can't quite put my finger on, but it's positive. I'd definitely do it again. read more

I was so impressed with this place. When I pulled up and saw the address was in strip mall I had concerns but they were unfounded. Stepping inside is like finding an oasis in suburbia. Everything is top tier, the facility is new, clean, and state of the art. I LOVED the privacy of the individual rooms. They took this place above and beyond what other spas offer. My wife and I did the contract therapy and the owner, Rachel was fantastic about explaining everything to us from the procedure to the science behind it. It is so clear they she loves what she's bringing to this community and it made me excited to try it. I also felt completely confident after her instructions. Once we learned the ropes we did the cold plunge, and I admit I could barely stand it. It was so cold I cried a little bit involuntarily, but since I now understood the science I stuck it out and I'm glad I did. My skin looked and felt better in just two minutes and when I got out I was already feeling invigorated. We then did the sauna with the red light tower which felt nice and relaxing after the cold. When we got over heated they provided cool hand towels dabbed in lavender and eucalyptus which felt divine before getting a little more sauna time in. Finally, we wrapped up with another cold plunge. After being in the sauna it was a lot easier to handle this time (though still cold). I was truly impressed with the changes I noticed in my body and mind by the time we left. There was a little confusion on my end at first, but I'm really glad I went back a second time with a friend. I have been here three times, enough to learn that it is not for me. The facility is lovely and well maintained, but it is too hot for me in the sauna. When I came the last time, I thought I could handle it from my experience on the YELP night. I bought the two for one package. I was very uncomfortable on my second time here. It was suggested that I needed either more water or food or both ahead of time before my last time here. Today was better, but I did stop at 15 minutes, not 20 or 25 as I tried before. read more

This was an amazing place to go. I had never done and a friend of mine and I went. It was wonderful. They have a beautiful space, the saunas are super clean and cozy. She and I were in our own private 2 person sauna. The benefits of infrared sauna are amazing and we sweat it out!! Make sure you have water as we took a water break a couple times, we turned on the red light therapy also and felt great afterwards! The staff is amazing!!!!: They explain everything very well and were sooooo friendly!!!!! This was a great way to spend a girls day. I loved how friendly the staff was when they greeted us and throughout the process! Lumos is set up like a tanning salon with private rooms for each party. Towels and robes are provided so you don't have to worry about what to wear (but bring a bathing suit for the cold plunge)! The saunas can get very hot so make sure you hydrate! If you forget your own water, Lumos provides chilled H2O options at the front for a small fee ($3-$4). The saunas offer red light therapy (bonus) and Lumos provides sunglasses to protect your eyes. I thoroughly enjoyed the cold towels (Lumos offers scented with lavender and eucalyptus essential oils or unscented if you prefer). Also, there is a heat protected window to plug your phone into the private speakers to listen to your own playlist while you sweat the day away. Another added bonus is the light therapy menu that allows you to choose the vibe for your sauna session. This place is awesome. I have never done an infrared sauna or a cold plunge, so was a bit nervous going in on what to expect (mainly for the cold plunge). The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming upon arrival- asking everything to make sure that we were comfortable with the experience, and explaining it in depth. We did the 50 minute Contrast Therapy. Both the sauna and the tub are in the same room together, which makes going back and forth very easy. The staff advised baseline times, but you are allowed to switch as often as you'd like. I switched back and forth 3x. The tub was set to 50° and the sauna was approximately 153°. It felt so good! Surprisingly, the tub wasn't at all as bad as I expected. The entire place was very clean. People are asked to leave their shoes at the door upon arrival. The facilities, bathroom, I was very impressed by the cleanliness standards that they have. I will definitely be going back! read more
