Absolutely terrible experience at Star Nissan of Bayside. I waited nearly 3 hours for what should have been a simple oil change, tire rotation, and NY State inspection. Before handing over my car, I checked the tire pressure--so I know for a fact the tires were never rotated, despite being charged for it. At this point, I seriously question whether the oil and filter were even changed. This level of dishonesty and lack of professionalism is unacceptable. What's worse is this isn't the first time it's happened--it's the second. And then they wonder why people leave 1-star reviews. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from these so-called "service technicians." read more

So disappointed with our recent visit. We have leased 2 cars from this location and were looking to getting our third. We walked in, person at desk just looked at us...no greeting. Someone finally walked over and didnt really listen to what we were asking for and pretty much dismissed us when we asked a question about possibly extending the lease. I guess they dont need our business any longer. read more

They sold me a lemon car. The salesman keeps trying to tell me theres nothing wrong with the car like I'm crazy. And Nissan service cant figure out whats wrong with the car. Would not recommend this dealership. Redhead "Manager" has a nasty attitude. Don't know how shes employed. Shes got to be related to someone that owns the spot cause she clearly doesnt have a clue about customer service. read more

Frye festive of Car dealerships! Must read before going here! Deceptive sales practices by Gus Tsolkas (general manager). Aggressive, rude, him and his sales team profile individuals as soon as you walk in, and while my visit to this terrible dealership he made a few discriminatory remarks referencing me. The Deceptive sales practice consists of taking a deposit and stating it's to hold the vehicle and refusing to refund the customer because since it's a so called final sale. How is it a final sale when no vehicle was purchased and at the time of the deposit no rates or amounts were discussed? Beware because once there is no deal Gus starts becoming rude, aggressive, condescending and starts acting like an upset teenage boy. P.S. I only visited this location because one of his relatives is a good friend of mine and if he was rude to me Imagine how he would act with a stranger. DO NOT GO HERE! read more

Stay away from this dealership. Went in with the intention of leasing a new Pathfinder. The salesman quoted me a monthly payment. I asked why so high based on the sticker and wanted to know the interest and other fees. He refused to tell me and in the worst condescending tone said we'll if you cannot afford the payment we can find you a cheaper car. I left that instant and found a more honest and respectful dealership to spend my money. read more

Came with my dad to look at a used 2018 Nissan for financing and left with my dads car. Anita there is amazing and our dealer Humphrey was also great. I ask a lot of questions and he was patient and answered them all. He also had a great vibe and got a long with my dad (which to me is always important how my parents are treated) Ira (the financial manager) also was great he helped out figure out our budget for the monthly payments and was kind. Me and my family had a great experience here. Def. recommend this dealership read more

Sales person over the phone refuse to answer any of my questions over the phone and insisted I have to come in order to have a conversation. Call me a few days later just to argue with me about the details on what was said on our initial call. Probably because they got in trouble with their corporate office. She then called me an a-hole before hanging up on me. I am not surprised they have such a crappy rating here on yelp. read more

I just want to say last night on the way back from the city, I was driving my Porsche when I all of a sudden got a flat tire. I pulled into the entrance at 7pm. My wife and I have been to multiple Nissan dealerships this past month in an effort to buy a 22 Nissan Rogue. With the chip shortage and current market, we understood it would be difficult to find our specific needs. Let me tell you how refreshing it was when we called on the phone to find out the exact car we wanted was in inventory, same day appointment was made over a holiday weekend, and we got the best deal ever. We were greeted and treated so nice and professionally, it felt like we weren't even at a car dealership. Our agent Edmond knew how to do business! He kept us comfortable and entertained throughout the whole process and allowed us to negotiate fairly to our terms. The manager and team were all so very wonderful and friendly. I think we have found our Nissan spot to keep doing business! If you were like us and going from dealership to dealership leaving upset and feeling lied to or cheated, please give Star Nissan a try. They are a refreshing find in these trying times. We are so very happy with our new 22 Rogue! read more

I was looking for a GTR. The car right now is hard to acquire and inventory is scarce. I spoke to Aaliyah at Star Nissan, who told me she spoke to her sales manager and was told that they could order the car for me if I come into the dealership. She also said the price would be MSRP, and I wouldn't have to pay anything outside of that. I asked her if she was absolutely sure she was giving me the correct information, because the dealership is not close to where I live. She confirmed she was relaying to me what she was told by her sales manager. I live in Connecticut, and drove an hour to Queens to meet with them on a Saturday. When I get to the dealership, I sit down with a salesguy named Ali. We discussed the car, Ali told me that they couldn't order it for me after all, and that they would instead look to find the car for me. We were discussing colors, when a very short man with a beard standing behind me says "hey guys, I know you're discussing colors and all, that's all great, but I think you should be flexible on the color and we won't do this for less than $40,000 over MSRP". The salesguy Ali says "you heard the man, he's the big boss". I reiterated that I was told the pricing would be around MSRP and that I would never have driven 1 hour had I known they would try to price gouge me like this. Ali responds "oh you just spoke to a receptionist, she has no say about numbers, she just answers phones". Obviously I know that receptionists aren't salespeople, but they also generally are not incentivized to lie either. It's likely she was in fact repeating what someone told her and that this was a sales tactic to get me to come in. They obviously couldn't care less about my time. The above is a PERFECT example of why buyers are weary of car dealerships. As soon as greedy salespeople get what they percieve as the slightest bit of leverage (rare car), then you see how much they really adhere to their "values" of serving customers and doing fair business. I ended up buying a white GTR from a different dealership for around MSRP. It took pererverance, but things worked out for me despite this poor experience with Star Nissan. read more

I had a great experience leasing and returning my car at this dealership. My salesman was Chris, who was very nice. I got to the price I was happy with after maybe an 1-2 hrs of haggling but honestly any dealership you go to will try to make the most profit, thats just the game. This dealership was truthful compared to the one I went to before this one which outright lied and told me bs policies to rush us into getting another car from them (Gregoris Nissan - stay away). Also, this dealership gave me a fair price, and worked with me to get there compared to my previous dealership (Nissan of Rockaway - stay away unless you wanna be overcharged). I did receive an incorrect bill from Nissan Cop. in the mail after I returned my Nissan, but once I called the dealership, they fixed the error. Overall, I liked my experience with this dealership and would recommend it to anyone considering a Nissan!! read more

Great friendly, run business, very friendly and attentive to customers needs. Highly recommended for your next purchase.

I give this dealership service department 1 star because I recently had my daughter take her car there for an oil change. I also needed another issue I needed handled didn't need a diagnostic check just the work done I got a song and dance on that. HERE'S THE ISSUE after work was completed billed PAID they bring my daughter her car she gets in and the stench that she smelled in her car of someone passing of foul gas or disgusting hygiene whichever was the worst UNPROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOR I've ever heard of in my years of taking my car to many different dealerships service departments. Wanted to come in to test drive a car but Ali would not let us test drive unless we agreed on a price citing a car shortage. will never buy or lease a car from this dealership again. I have a Nissan 4x4Pro pick up that I leased with them and went back because me lease will be up in another month and a half. I was interested in the Rogue Platinum the sales person who was of Indian descent was asking me a hundred questions on why was I interested in that car. I'm not there to answer his questions on why I like and am interested. I was there to get a price obviously I like the car. He was very arrogant and got a little snippy when asking these questions because I wasn't answering him. I told him the car we have now was $10,000 more than the rogue he came back and said that the numbers where we want to be, is not happening. he also stated that my lease is the same price which in fact is a lie because I have papers at home the MSRP did say $43,000 but because at the time of the lease everything was marked up and we leased for $53,000. you would think that because we are a loyal customer they would want to keep you. Obviously they don't need my business. I have leased 3 cars from Star dealership 2 Subarus and one Nissan. will never go back there. And stay away from that salesman. read more

Watch out for the bait and switch car lease agreement. We thought our lease was with the Nissan Corporation, like our prior 3 leases with Nissan. The lease ended up being with Hann Financial. When we moved to Florida, we were able to turn in our car and lease a new Nissan. Our dealer , after speaking with his Financial person, told us that Hann Financial wants us to return our car to their office in NJ. That's the first time all of us realized that our lease was not a Nissan lease. Stay away from Star Nissan. It seems to start out OK but then turns into to your own private hell. read more

What a pleasant surprise. We came to Star Nissan after going to several other dealerships where we had bad experiences (salesmen pushing you to buy, ridiculous waits). We are so happy we came to Star Nissan. We were helped by Ali who politely and friendly helped us through the whole process. He never pushed us to buy. The whole process took minimal time. Most importantly, we never felt scammed, which is something you often feel like in most dealerships. We picked up our car and the experience was equivalently pleasant. We were in an out within 1 hour, and that included also meeting with the finance manager. They made the while process pain free. We definitely recommend this dealership and will most certainly come back for future purchases. read more

My Review ""Star Nissan will defraud you and put your life in jeopardy " Buyer beware. on November 28 2017 I bought a pre owned 2002 Cadillac Deville from Star Nissan of Bayside.. The purchase process was pleasant and stress free . However the real horror was only discovered driving home that the brakes very virtually non existent . Plus a week later we had a high speed blowout due to severely worn tires. I advised the dealership asap and they have not done anything to resolve the issue. the folks literally put on a new inspection sticker . knowing full well it would never pass Please be advised that I have no choice but to move forward in filing a fraud complaint against Star Nissan for unlawfully passing a NYS inspection on the vehicle w hen the car indeed had all four tires , front brakes and tie rods worn below limits. all parts have been retained as evidence.. we did experience a high speed tire blowout 2 weeks ago and needed to be towed to the nearest repair shop. Star Nissan put our lives in jeopardy and others by allowing the car to pass inspection with these obvious defects. I have contacted my attorney as well as the DCA, DMV, BBB, Nissan of North America and finally the NYS Attorney General's office via email to advise them of what happened. Since this was paid via Credit Card, I've asked Chase Fraud team to place a charge back for the entire purchase price. Sorry it had to be this way.Dishonesty at its finest at Star Nissan read more

Awe fully bad customer service . Staff need training how to answer a customers phone call or any call for that matter. Rude in the phone.

Agreed with all the negative reviews here as I was their customer unfortunately 10 years ago. This sales guy for whatever reason tried convincing me he was doing me a favor for getting me into a car. No mind you I have A++ credit and high 6 fig salary at a highly competitive occupation. This moron had the audacity to demand a bottle of wine from me for me buying a car from him putting commission in his low income pockets.
