I was contacted by this dealership after servicing my vehicle and invited in to discuss potential options. Based on that outreach, I took time out of my day to come in and meet with sales and management. Unfortunately, no meaningful review of my situation had been done prior to my visit. No offer was initially presented on my vehicle, and after a lengthy discussion, I was ultimately advised that the best option was simply to continue paying the remaining balance on my existing lease. What was most disappointing was the lack of transparency and professionalism during the interaction. When I asked for a business card or full name of the manager Lance involved, that information was refused. I also asked for the name of a district or general manager for follow-up and was declined. I understand when deals don't make financial sense and that happens but inviting a customer in without properly qualifying the situation and then refusing basic identification afterward made the experience feel dismissive and disorganized. This visit could have been avoided entirely with a brief upfront review before asking me to come in. I inquired about a used Jeep Grand Cherokee listed on your website and scheduled an appointment to see it. Leading up to the appointment, I received multiple confirmation texts, which gave me confidence that the vehicle would be available when I arrived. When I got to the dealership, I was told the vehicle had to be driven over from another lot. We decided to wait and browse. About 20 minutes later, someone approached us asking if we wanted to start the paperwork. We explained that we had not even seen the vehicle yet. We were then told it was taking longer than expected due to traffic. We chose to return the following day. Again, the salesperson contacted us twice to confirm our appointment. However, upon arrival, we were told the vehicle had accidentally been returned to the lot. At that point, it became clear there was a lack of organization, transparency, and consideration for our time. Posting vehicles that are not readily available feels misleading and unacceptable. While the salesperson was pleasant and appears to be new at Bayside, the overall experience reflects poor management and processes that do not set employees--or customers--up for success. So I have a leased 2024 wrangler high altitude 4xe with less than 17k miles. It started to give me electrical problem since the beginning of the year 2025. When I first took the jeep for service, they kept it for 3 days and told me that nothing was wrong with the vehicle. After 1 or 2 the problem continued and this time it got worse. I got the CEL, red turtle, dead battery on car, center console not working etc. I then drop off the car to them since May19,2025 and for a whole month I kept getting the same answer "we found the problem and we are waiting for parts" It is now June 24,2025 and I still don't have my vehicle back. I was told that if I gave a positive review for their service center I would be given 100$ towards my oil change. I made a brand-new purchase of a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe Overlander with my family, and I'm extremely disappointed and deeply concerned about how unsafe this vehicle is to drive. The main issue is a severe glare coming from a mirror or reflective surface on the dashboard, which makes it almost impossible to see clearly through the windshield, especially during midday sunlight or at night under city lights. It's genuinely dangerous. On many occasions, I've had to pull over and stop the car because I simply could not see the road ahead. I even had to ask someone else to drive the car to a safe location. When my friend brought the car to the dealership, we were told, "It was made that way." That's unacceptable for a vehicle in this price range and class. I contacted Jeep Customer Service, and they said they would be happy to fix it if the service center diagnosed it as a problem, but the service center insists that even though it's a safety hazard, it's not considered a defect because "that's how it was built." Who builds a car that can't be driven safely? Now I'm left with a brand-new vehicle that cannot be safely driven, and Jeep has refused to take responsibility for what is clearly a dangerous design flaw that puts drivers and passengers at risk. The truck cost over $60k and the check engine light came on within the first hour upon delivery. This continued on and off until then the entire dashboard went black. Since then, the truck has been back in service three times in less than thirty days. Each time I was told it was fixed and each time the same issues returned within hours. The truck is a lemon and they should have proactively offered me a buy back. Corporate would have made the dealership whole on the difference. Instead, I am spending hours on a daily basis dealing with this hassle and my frustration continues to mount. A brand new truck should not be in the shop more than it is on the road. Brought my 2019 Wrangler in for inspection and an oil change. Entire experience took less than an hour and everything was done perfectly. Then on the way home, I noticed a new problem that seemed like an electrical short. Brought the Jeep back a couple of days later when I could. As I was checking in, the service rep asked me a bunch of questions and then stopped everything to actually go look at my Jeep. He came back and said that he thought he'd found the issue and corrected it. Where do I start. Haven't had the best experiences with a few Chrysler Jeep Dodge service areas, Bayside just happens to be one of the worst. First, service reps do not answer their phones nor do they call back their customers. When I called to check on my vehicle, I was told I would get a call back within an hour, I never got a call back, all day. The only way I knew what was going on with my car was when I just physically showed up. I was told everything was fine with my car and was told if my engine light comes back on just bring it back (which made me think, they didn't do anything). Sure enough, engine light came back on the next day, brought the car back, same situation, nothing fixed. This happened about 3-4 times, I lost count. I plugged my car into my own diagnostic computer and received a code. I informed the service rep when I brought my car back again of this code. He stumbled with some generic answer. Once again, no call back, no info, I picked up my car, the next day same problem. Nothing was fixed. This was crazy. I called corporate, corporate informed me each dealership is run separately and they really don't have much authority over dealerships. Throughout the next several months I was experiencing the same issues, this was maddening. I decided to take my car to another dealership, well, they couldn't take my car because it was at the end of the week and did not want to give me a loaner because I didn't buy my car at their dealership. So I made an appointment with another dealership. And sure enough, wow, they found the problem. The exact problem and code, word for word, that I informed Bayside about. Funny how it took a guy who is not a mechanic or in the auto business to not only diagnose the problem correctly but after a quick google and YouTube search on what the diagnostic code meant, found out how to fix it. The service department is NON RESPONSIVE, reception is quick to put you on hold and tell you that someone will call you back and they NEVER do! The dealers aren't helpful either! Incompetent. Inconsiderate. Irresponsible. When I bought my jeep from Bayside, it has a small leak. No big deal, right? The dealership will get it fixed up, right? WRONG! They told me it wasn't actually a leak and instead proceeded to gaslight me insisting I left the window open or the one-touch open. After driving in the rain recently it was clear that there was in fact a leak. I know this is hard to believe but having ice cold water pouring into your brand new Jeep isn't something I particularly enjoyed. I head on down to the service center, which is employed by what I can only assume is those who didn't make the cut to work at the DMV considering their complete lack of empathy and disregard. Of course people deserve the benefit of doubt, so I kindly explain what happened and they agree that there's a leak. Brilliant. They ask for three days so they can order the part. Fantastic. I clearly can't drive my car with this leak and don't want there to be any (further) damage so I ask about a rental/loaner. They advise they'll cover a $35/day rental. Pretty sure that would barely cover a CitiBike! And I would have to pay the difference out of pocket. A week goes by with no phone call or update. Now it's raining even harder for two days so you can imagine the amount of water in my car. I take my car back to the service department a full week later. They keep my car and tell me they will try their best to get it back to me by the next day. Would you believe that it isn't ready? How about that they haven't even started on it? But wait, the best part is they FORGOT TO ORDER THE PART! Still, with complete lack of empathy and disregard, they have to keep with their brand I suppose, they advise they'll need more time. When I finally get the call that it's ready, I head to the service center. They say it's outside. It's not. I wait 15 minutes in 15° weather with my car nowhere in site. And valet telling me hold on it's coming right now. Eventually they bring it to me and the inside looks like the inside of a microwave if you reheat Alfredo for too long without a cover. Take a look at those pictures, what in the world could that be?? How did it even get there?? Why would they let a car out of the service center in that condition?! It isn't water, it reeks of vinegar and just not an acceptable condition. Save your money, save your sanity, SHOP ELSEWHERE!!! And no this isn't MY first car with them back in 2016. If I could give 0 stars I would. They have had my car for 6 weeks. Nobody answers the phone when you call. I sat on hold for hours getting disconnected every 12 minutes. Finally after two weeks of calling a girl answered the phone to tell me they let go of my case manager and the car WASNT there. After being on hold for some time they located the car that was there. The new person told me he couldnt see what was done with the car because he didn't Have access to Alexs files ( the old case manager). I was very unhappy with this dealership. I attempted to buy a car from them but from the beginning there were issues. First, I went in there to look, the salesperson gave me his card. When I did like a certain, I called him the next day to get information. He never called me back. Then I go in, he is not there so they assign me to someone else who was rude, arrogant and pushy. Made me fill out a form and ran my credit, even requested $500 deposit. He said he would contact me the next day because it was late, on financing terms and final price. The next day, I don't hear back and call him. He tells me I have to come in person and commit to the vehicle in order to give the numbers. That is when I just said forget it. Please put principal to this review I'm sharing about this dealership service department. I've purchased and had many cars serviced at different dealerships before. This is by far the worst one I've had to deal with. Brought a vehicle on Saturday over the weekend had to bring it back for service on Monday because of a broken radiator and a hose replacement. First day took 4 hours to tell me that parts were needed to be ordered come back in tomorrow. Next day stood in the waiting room for 8 hours with no updates from the advisor Sebastian unless I went up to ask what's going on. Then to be told not to fill out the Survey that was going out to me by the advisor when the car was finished.Took the car home over an hour away to find everything that was taken apart was not put back together properly. No horn connection, bumper clips not inserted and whatever else wasn't done. This was a tuff pill to swallow dealing with this service department. And now it's 5 days later and I have no vehicle to get around with. Mr Service department manager you should really have your staff take a training course on how customer service works and your mechanics how to look over everything that they touch to be put back together properly. read more

The levels of stress and disrespect I felt because this dealership's lack of accountability and attention to detail made me regret ever wanting a car of my own. In searching for a Jeep Renegade Trailhawk in White, my mom and I went to Bayside Chrysler Jeep Dodge based on a prior experience I had with them. I looked for a 2018 model of the car possible a year or two ago and figured I would return when we were ready to invest in something serious. But the bright lighting and gleaming cars in the showroom were all an elaborate ploy to make us believe that the sales department values their customers. The salesperson we spoke with was Jay. We dealt with him directly believing that we'd be getting the best deal on a lease for a Jeep Renegade Trailhawk. The car had more emotional value to my mother and I. Getting my first car would certainly be an upgrade from the 2010 Tan Dodge Caravan I drove in my undergrad. This quickly turned into a hasty deposit of $1,000 for the Jeep Renegade under the presented pricing given to us and understanding that the car would be found and brought to the location. At the time Jay offered us a monthly payment of $283 with a down payment of $5,000. What we didn't know was how ridiculous those numbers were, since we never leased a vehicle before. We simply didn't have that type of money to put down and certainly didn't deserve to be misled the way we were. If it weren't for my brother (who also shared my experience on yelp) and my sister-in-law, we would have paid the full amount down. We called Jay and told him about our situation and he agreed to work with us on a better deal. Our car arrived at the dealership only a day after our conversation with Jay. It seemed too good to be true and it certainly was. I took a look at the car and noticed multiple issues. First, there was a noticeable dent on the upper right side of the car near the trunk along with a few noticeable scratches. Then there was a deep scratch underneath the back windshield that showed exposed metal and a paint chip next to the Jeep logo on the hood. So already, the 2020 car had some issues that needed to be addressed. We talked with Jay for a while and one of the managers Matthew. They were able to lower the price for the down payment but not the monthly payments. Certainly after seeing all the exterior issues with the car, we wanted them to get us another Renegade with the same specs, but it was presented to us as an impossible task. Matthew explained since the car is made in Italy, it would take months to find a new one. But what didn't make sense was why the brand new Renegade had about 40 miles on it if it came straight from Italy. What they really did when they "shipped" the car was drive it from some warehouse of theirs in Staten Island to Queens. Unless there's a town in Staten Island called Italy I don't know about, I'm more than certain this was just a lie to make us take the car. In that same line of thinking, if we're entertaining Matthew's train of thought, they also had to order the engine from Poland, since that's where it's manufactured... For all the exterior issues they promised to fix the damages with a We Owe and a signature that was more of a hastily made scribble. Already my trust with them was gone so why they would believe we would be content with a simple slip of paper is beyond me. So the entire process took all day. We arrived sometime before noon and left around four o'clock. We were given the option to leave the car with the dealership, but since we already filled the lease we could take it home and ultimately I didn't trust leaving the car at that location any further. Just in case some other unknown issue reared its ugly face. When I took the car home I found another disturbing detail about this 2020 car. I lifted the spare tire after noticing a few glass pieces scattered around and sure enough there was a considerable amount of broken glass. Then I noticed a slight rattling when I lifted the trunk door as if little remnants of glass were still traveling inside the housing. The back windshield must have been replaced at some time due to some sort of accident and in a haphazard way of installing it, whoever was responsible, neglected to clean up properly. This was never told to us. It's unacceptable and downright disrespectful. I'm pretty sure any decent human being would want to know what happened to their car even if someone fixed it. At the same time if they did their job and cleaned up the mess the first time, this review wouldn't be here. The fact that the broken glass was left in the car is a clear indicator of how this dealership does business and provides inadequate service to their customers. It also showed that the dealership never truly checked the vehicle and wanted to take it out the lot more than actually making sure we were getting our money's worth. Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had with a dealership Dodge Hornet in shop for 52 days- head of service is never available They don't give Loaner cars and no one is accepting accountability on lemon law- Its pretty sad that they are so desperate for the sale that their word means nothing. Owner and his son are absolute failures at customer service. I have made call after call and no one calls back- my only hope now is 7 on your side. read more
