I had done my research for a nail place as I was in desperate need. I showed up 1.45 hrs before they closed. Asked for a pedi and shortly after a full set. They had Phenomenal customer service. The transition from the pedi to the full set was immaculate as I had a sleeping 4 month old in my arms. Soon after the nail tech had began my nails my daughter woke up very fussy they weren't bothered. Instead they helped keep her calm. The entire service was amazing I will not be going anywhere else but here. read more

they do nice nails and at good prices but the staff aren't very friendly so it makes for an uncomfortable experience for me.

Went in and requested a shellac set and told them I didn't have an appointment. They told me to wash my hands. No one told me which colors to choose from so I just grabbed something and was redirected. Kenny did my nails and he was super nice. I enjoyed talking to him but he started giving me a gel manicure. He had done one hand and I told him my nails were too short and that I didn't think it looked good. So he said they didn't have time for an acrylic set (which is the same as shellac but whatever) so he said he could take the gel off and I just do a manicure. I agreed because I didn't really have a choice at this point. I had to go change my baby's diaper so we stopped before we got to any of the polish part of my manicure. When I came back he had the chairs pushed in and handed me my phone and told me to pay the girl at the register. Not even offering to paint my nails like you would in a normal manicure. I asked the girl at the register if shellac was the same as acrylic (maybe I messed up my terminology) but she confirmed they are indeed the same. I told her what my request was when I walked in and she told me she heard me say "gel manicure". I told her those words did not come out of my mouth. She again said that's what she heard. So I paid $20 for a cuticle trim because I wasn't given what I requested. I regret even paying for that. If you go anywhere else and are given something you didn't ask for, would you pay for it? No. Overall I'm super annoyed I wasted my time and money going to this place. read more

This afternoon was my second time getting dip done at Star Nails. Both experiences have been awesome. They take their time, but you are in and out. I love that you can book your appointments on-line and they send you a reminder about your appointment. At both appointments, they expected me and had a station ready. My nails look amazing and I have received many compliments. Kenny and Andy did an awesome job! read more

They're good (period). I easily have a dozen nail shop reviews. I can be extremely particular. The shop is clean, and the techs are nice, trained and thorough. In addition they are up to date on styles, colors and trends. The chairs are bomb. I'm just here for it all. One of my pet peeves is a rushed pedicure. Today they were extremely busy; so much so they asked us to return in 40 minutes. Once we sat down they moved quickly but nothing about the pedicure felt rushed. Every detail was still considered. We will definitely continue to come here. read more

The lady who did my gel manicure left bumps after two coats of color and after I brought it up she added another layer of color to blend them in. As she was doing the manicure she cut me in two fingers and at the end when she was filing them she went over and messed up the gel. Not even two weeks later the gel is lifting and chipping. Overall it seemed like she wanted to leave and when two more customers walked in she made a comment "oh no". I will not be returning. read more

Love coming here for a pedicure :) I've gotten my nails done here twice and I really enjoyed my experience the second time around the lady who did my nails was the cutest and sweetest! read more

I've given this place a couple chances with 3 different nail techs, but unfortunately the quality isn't good. Here is a close up of how my toenails were painted. My nails actually had bumps in them I think from one of the two prep coats and I was told that it was a new sand effect... what bothered me about this is I'm not that dumb and I've actually had what the tech was trying to tell me done before and it was not in fact the "sand" effect. I picked out a normal gel so that was disappointing she tried to think I was a fool and would go for that. Super nice girl, but that totally ruined it for me. The gel polish was also put all the way on my skin so you can see where it's already lifting. After I said I knew it wasn't what she said it was because I had got them done like that before she said if I had time she could redo them, but at this point I was really uncomfortable and needed to leave. The other disappointing thing was that I chose an OPI that had a matching gel and regular polish, but they don't match at all. I would've loved to bring this up to their attention as well, but I already felt like anything I said I would've been give an excuse and then been a "problem" so I left. It's unfortunate when a service you pay for isn't done correctly, but you can't speak up in a respectful manner without getting attitude or excuses or made to feel like you're a picky customer. read more

Just moved to EP & have been following this salon on IG for a while. I was excited to finally come here. I look forward to getting my nails done but at the time, I only needed a pedicure. Salon was nice and clean. Jennifer was really nice and sweet. Unfortunately I have to give three stars because she cut two of my toes. & I asked for square shape, but when I look at my toenails, they're slanted. Other than that, everything was great. Will be doing an update when I come back read more

This place was incredible not a terrible wait time at all but I did book an appointment instead of just doing a walk in. I had gotten acrylics for the very first time and they look phenomenal I definitely I am going to go back again for a refill. The staff was very friendly and got the job done quick. The nails were very inexpensive! Definitely my go to nail place from now on! read more

I once got a pedicure here last year and it was great, last month I went in for a gel manicure and it was everything that I wanted in technique and form. Kenny was my nail tech and he did an amazing job, I've worked in a reputable nail salon in Austin and there's a certain way of applying gel nails and he did exactly that. He was efficient, precise and did not rush doing my nails. I know it sounds silly, but if you're going to pay to have your nails done, it really does have to be done right. Kenny is friendly and quite funny. read more

Great aesthetic, kind and professional service. I had the spa pedicure and the massage was great. The prices are reasonable for this area. The best Pedicure in the town read more

Everyone seems to have really good reviews for this place, so my experience is probably not a very common occurrence so please take that into consideration when reading this but I did not have an enjoyable time there today. They got the color I picked out wrong twice, and the man doing my nails spoke very little English so it was very hard to communicate to him that it was the wrong gel color. He kept burning my skin with the nail drill and when I would flinch because of it he would give me an angry look and yank my hand. My nails look fine but it was an uncomfortable experience all around. read more

Good service, good quality! I loved the coffin shape, as many places I have gone to can't achieve that shape. Best nails salon so far! Definitely recommend! read more

Had a great experience when I went on 12/24! The lady who worked on my nails was very meticulous and made sure my nails came out perfect and just how I wanted them. The one lady who does nail art, I believe it was Sheryl, did an exceptional job on the reindeer art I wanted for the holidays. Also they had Friends playing on the tv, so what more could you ask for? Overall a great experience and super reasonably priced! I will definitely be returning! read more

I was looking for somewhere to get a good pedicure and I came across some good reviews for this place. So I decided to pay this nail salon a visit! I made a 30 minute drive with my mother and I can honestly say it was worth the drive!! I was defiantly not disappointed! The staff was friendly and made me feel comfortable! The prices where very affordable and the quality of the service was amazing! I've tried many places for pedicures and my feet were never even close to being as soft as they are after visiting this salon! read more

Worst ever. Burned all fingers when using electric tool to remove cuticle and buff. Who does that!! will never go back!!

Service was okay. Salon isn't very clean. Customer service for my pedicure was awful. Nail tech for my niece was a bit better.

This Salon was pretty good and I loved the nails the tech did for me. The wait can get long because a lot of people like to come here which is not their fault, but I got there just in time where I was seen immediately before it got busy. Everything was done in a good amount of time. The only issue there was, was that me and my fiancé both got our toes done, and with getting your toes done that give you a leg message with the type of pedi of your choosing. My fiancé chose one that had minty stuff in it, and again everything was fine until the next day. I believe she had some sort of reaction to the stuff they used and caused her to have red bumps all over her legs and they became a bit painful, red, and infected and really itchy. The bumps are barely starting to go away now and it's been about a week later. It could of been just a allergic reaction but she's not known to have one getting her toes done. But just be aware if you might have sensitive skin or might be allergic to mint stuff. But besides that, the place was great. read more

This has been my favorite nail salon in town! I have been to 3 or 4 places and haven't been nearly as satisfied as i am today. They are friendly, do beautiful work, and do it in a nice timely manner. Will definitely be back! read more

Every Saturday my wife and daughter go here to bring peace to the crazy weeks: my daughter a volleyball player and my wife my right hand seek peace every week at this place and they get it each and every time. I moved here from NY and I found this nail salon on Instagram before hand. I am so happy I found them because I love everything about them! I went in for a fill in with gel. My nail tech was KENNY and as soon as he saw my previous nails he said "too thick" in my head I was like YES! I finally found someone who understood how I want my nails. I like my nails to be narrow as well. After he was done I LOVED them!! I also have really sensitive cuticles. They always seem to get cut when I got my nails done, but not this time! I also live on the east side and will gladly make the trip! You will not be disappointed with them. read more

I came in as a walk in while in town to get dipped nails and had a great experience. Kenny was excellent and very personable. He did a wonderful job and gave good suggestions on colors (I'm very indecisive). He also explained the dip process as he was doing it, which was very nice. I would highly recommend Star Nail Spa and Kenny! read more

In love with this salon! It has become my go to salon. I have been to every nail salon on Mesa and this one is #1. Very efficient, experienced, and polite staff. I usually get a full set and they come out so beautiful and symmetrical every time. For me it's $30 flat for removal of previous set and full set with regular polish. Be sure to confirm the prices and ask about fees. For example there is a $5 fee to remove previous set, and the same fee for gel polish and getting long nails. The owner, Sheryl, is very sweet and welcoming. I always leave the salon very happy with my nails. I HIGHLY recommend! read more

I had to try Star Nail Spa under New management. Sherly is attention to detail and very innovative with gel nail polish. I am very pleased with brow waxing, specially comfortable with how clean and gentle she works in my facial area. My pedicure left my feet rejuvenated . The polishes are very unique and of good quality. The best part of my experience in this new West side Jewel is the reasonable prices. I highly recommend Star Nail Spa if you like high quality beauty services. read more

This was my first time going to this salon. I've been looking around trying to find a salon, because I just moved here from Virginia. I'll be honest, I wanted to be greedy and keep all these goodies to myself, but ok no, a girl has to help other girls out lol. I live on the East side, but I was in the area and decided to give Star Nails Spa a try. I couldn't be happier! I got a pedicure with many cute colors to choose from. I was very happy with the outcome. Not to mention their massage chairs are life! Way better than other places I've been to. As I was getting a pedi I noticed they do eyelash extensions as well, so I think, why not? I got my eyelashes done by Sheryl. AMAZING! They were so natural looking and full. I am in the military so I cannot get something out of hand, but these were just PERFECT! I got so many compliments on them. Ever since I keep coming back for my touchups. I just love her work!! Definitely recommend Star Nails Spa!!! Good work and great quality. read more

As a walk-in, I waited 30 minutes before they started with my pedicure. I don't mind waiting as I didn't have an appointment. However, two people that walked in after and also didn't have an appointment were seen before me. read more

Sheryl is a nail genius. Great family business. Powder dip is the best manicure option. Your nails will look great for three weeks!

Should be no stars! Worst time management skills. I booked an appointment for 3:45 and did not get serviced till 4:15. Thats a 30 min wait for an appointment is that correct to wait for an already booked appointment!? Of course not. They had me sit in the pedicure tub waiting. During that time i almost fell asleep and the water started to get cold thats how long the wait was. All the while everyone was looking and saying i needed to be serviced but no one did anything about it. What should have been a 30 min appointment ended up being an hour and a half. At the registrar the lady kept apologizing, but i was just had the face of complete disappointment. I mention they need to work on timing. If you cant service on time don't book and certainly don't keep on taking customers as if you have the time. No tip and i wont be coming here again. read more

I went to Star Nails because I saw their work on Instagram and they get great ratings. Well what I got was nothing like their pictures and the reviews were wrong. I had my child with me and no one seemed the mind as she was quiet. They told me to sit in the chair and that a man would be there shortly. The man started on my nails and he was doing great. My nails were being shaped perfectly and everything then all of a sudden and older woman told him to leave and she started to do my nails. When I asked why she said " you have a baby you need to leave." She did my nails so sloppy and nasty. I kept telling her they needed to be fixed and she said " no because you need to leave." When she asked what color I said I wanted just a plain pink. When i said that she went to my mother (we went together) and asked her to pay for my nails so i could do something better since "i have a baby." Funny how I needed to leave because of my baby and now she wanted me to spend more because I had my baby. Needless to say I'm EXTREMELY disappointed. This was last week and my set has already fallen off. They are extremely unprofessional and they don't do as good as a job as they claim and post online. read more

I'm from LA and found this place on yelp. I took a chance, and fell in love with the place and people!
