This was by far the dirtiest nail salon I've ever stepped into. The floors were filthy, dust and nail polish spills were all over the walls, and the tools didn't appear properly cleaned or sanitized. It was genuinely gross and made me question how this place is even allowed to operate. The salon was also completely unorganized and understaffed. As a walk-in, I expected a bit of a wait -- but after waiting about 40 minutes with no communication, I left without even getting my nails done. Other people seemed just as frustrated. Between the lack of cleanliness, the chaos, and the poor customer service, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. It seriously needs to be inspected. read more

I only come here for mani and pedis with my favorite tech, CC. She's polite, professional, and always does an amazing job. She's also the only one who can wax and shape my brows perfectly. Now that she's moved, I'll be going wherever she is. The salon itself needs improvement. The name doesn't match the esthetics, it's too cold in the winter, too hot in the summer, and kids' toys are often laying around. It's usually pretty empty when I visit, which says a lot. read more

Worst experience to have for my girlfriends birthday! Took her to get her nails done. Older gentleman showed us to the table. Didn't wish to talk much, which is ok by me. It was her first time so we asked general questions like how long on average should they last, how long has he been working there etc. Gave responses like "they will last forever" and "he just started". I am a fan of comedy to lighten the mood, but it should also be followed by actual responses to questions after she mentioned this was her first time getting her nails done so is a novice. The biggest issues we encountered was instead of pushing back the cuticles he actual cut them resulting in bleeding and pain in her nails. When she stopped him and asked not to cut the cuticles with the machine and that she was in pain, he said she's moving too much and had to relax, trying to blame her for his mistakes. On top of that there was glue and residue left, unfinished sides of nail unpainted. He was also quite pushy asking several times to add on a pedicure after being told no several times. Worst experience for her birthday will not be back and do not recommend to anyone. If you do come her please try someone else you may have better luck. read more

Star Nails is a disaster. The employee gave me a pedicure in 15 minutes! She kept saying she was ready to go home even though I was there an hour before closing. The facility is very dirty and unkept. The owner thinks it's okay to watch tv very loudly and in his language. The turnover seems to be an issue too. I'll never return. It took over two hours for a mani pedi. The woman who did my pedicure was awesome, the man who did my nails butchered them. By the time he was finished it was 9:10pm and they were closing so the following morning I called and asked if they could fix them because each nail is crooked. You're probably wondering how it could go from a 5 to a 1. Well let me tell you. I came in and asked if they had room for me. They said they did and placed me at one table. I told them I was going to go to the bathroom and when I came back they gave my seat to someone else. I got told to go to another table but asked where my color choices had gone to. We spent a minute finding my color choices that the first guy brushed aside. When I explained how I wanted my nails done and which one I wanted sparkly, he answered, "Yeah I know." The guy doing my nails hurt me a couple times too. First he pressed too hard when grinding my old polish off and it stung bad. Second he got the final coat on my fingers so when I was in the blue light it cured on my skin and burnt me a little. The icing on the cake was he asked me if he could take a phone call quick. Today I went in for a fill but the guy recommended I get gel instead to have my natural nails relax. Best decision ever! Terrible! I went there as a last minute decision and I wish I could take it back. First my nail tech cuts my finger very deeply and was bleeding and dips my finger in the purple acrylic mixture and says "it'll make it feel better". That's highly unsanitary and now my blood was in the acrylic mixture which is used on ALL customers. There was glue and acrylic cement ALL OVER my fingers and arms and my nails were extremely thin and crooked and when the nail tech finished, two of them broke just by opening my purse to pay. One of the employees started off by saying he "doesn't know how to make a return" so I then asked for the manager and he says she was home when she was there the whole time. Worst nail salon I have ever been to. We called and scheduled appointments there were 3 if us. It took them three hours to get us done. I had 3 different people come to do my nails and had to explain to each person what I wanted. I was then very irritated so I just wanted to pay and leave. Made an appointment for 2 pedicures at 11. Immediately we were sat at a station but there were 5 nail technicians working and 9 people sat down either being helped or waiting. Having made an appointment, we expected to start around 11. We waited until 1130, no tech had finished with their customers yet. When we asked how long it would be we were told "two minutes" every 10 minutes for the entire half an hour. At 1140 we again told them we had an appointment at 11 and asked how long they would take to finish up there current customers and how long the pedicure itself would take because we had somewhere to be at 1230. Just took my 93 yo Dad there for a pedicure. He was spending 40$ at the podiatrist and left in pain every time. Cycy took very good care of him and he was thrilled. I had the reflexology pedicure with Young and he really knows his stuff. The chairs are shiatsu massage chairs. My Dad then decided to get a manicure. I have never left a bad review on anything however I came to this shop a couple times because the hours are awesome ! They are open on Sunday and stay late during the week. The first time I went my gel chipped 2 hours after leaving then the second time I broke a nail within 2 days !! I have never broken a nail in the 13 years of having my nails done. Not to mention they charged me $30 to paint my 7 year olds toes ( not a pedicure just painted) ridiculous! I will say that the gentleman who painted her toes was very sweet and friendly but I'd never go there again. I've never been neglected so badly and my father was a dead beat. I walked in and NOBODY said ANYTHING to me. I waited for someone to acknowledge my existence for like legitimately 10 minutes. The worker who eventually took me in was sitting on his phone when I walked in and he was straight up ignoring me even when I said "Hello??" Like what the fuck is that?? He cut my fingers with three different tools and didn't say sorry or clean them with anything. The place was extremely unsanitary. The nail stations were not clean and there were fingernails on them. They played the same exact ethnic Asian pop soundtrack over and over again and the only reason why I know this was because I was in the building for literally like two and a half hours and I'm not even fucking exaggerating. I don't know why it took so long to give me French tip acrylic nails... oh wait! Yes I do! Want to know why?? Because half of the time he was taking phone calls and stopping everything to talk to a coworker that he probably sees every fucking day. I witnessed a very polite customer say thank you and walk out and not even 1 minute after she walked out a worker already had started talking shit about her. Now that I think about it I should've actually taken it as a warning sign that they had no customers at the height of prom season. What a fucking dump.
