Star Nails - Nail Salons Near Me - Council Bluffs, Iowa

Update: while the service was great, it was $95 for a shellac pedicure. I was shocked but I dont get my nails done enough to feel comfortable saying anything. I talked with some other people who have been here, and they agreed the pricing is never consistent. I won't be going here again. read more

Possibly the worst salon I've ever been to. Was getting heckled the whole time pressured into more expensive services after saying no multiple times. The nail tech wouldn't allow me to do longer nails or the shape I wanted. The quality was not even good the nails were unevenly thick and I spent 160 dollars for a below average acrylic set and pedicure. Very uncomfortable experience all around. read more

Went here for several months after moving to the area. The pedicures and dip manicures that I received were way over priced but I continued to go because of the convenience of location & they did a decent job. They also have a little dog, Louie, who I enjoyed seeing. I decided I wanted a full set of acrylic after a few months, the main lady, maybe the owner seemed to be the only one able to do this. She tried to sway my decision and then begrudgingly did the full set for me and it was AWFUL. I left frustrated & decided to find a new nail salon. Which I did and they do a far better job for nearly half the price!!! However when we took the acrylics off, my nails were green. Beware of getting a full set here, not sure they are qualified. I've been getting my nails done for 30+ years and this is the first time this has ever happened to me! read more

My niece had moved out to Oregon and every time she comes into town she make sure that they stop and get a manicure and a pedicure from star nails. So I am going to go to star nails and get my nails done for which I will never go back do USA nails I had a very bad experience. My niece just loves this place they were nice and they made you feel comfortable read more

Its super close to my house and Ive always been hesitant to give it a shot bc its so small and hidden away on Broadway but Im so glad I finally did! The place is small but very inviting. I did a dipping powder set on my real nails. One of my nails was broken and they added an extension and it looks flawless. For some reason it was much more expensive than other places and thats why I gave it a 3 star. I did a pink and blue ombre so Im guessing the ombre makes it more expensive? But the work was good and it was a walk-in and they got me in right away so Im satisfied with the service. read more

Visiting from Vegas treated my mom to a Deluxe Pedicure. My mom had hers done by Jessica. The shop was nice and clean. Customer service was friendly. Offered us water to drink. They have bonus cards to mark for every trip. On the 7th one you receive 10% next visit. Denny was the manicurist that did my pedicure. Did a wonderful job. I was really impressed. I will definitely be back to visit Denny. Think it's great to support local businesses and please don't forget to tip read more

Jessica did an awesome job on my nails! Very fast and gave me exactly what I was looking for. Cindy was very patient with my grandmother and very gentle while giving her pedicure. Jimmy was a great comedic relief the whole time. Whenever I come back into town I will definitely be making a stop in. read more

They wanted to charge me $80,00 for a dip just because it contained glitter. No design no pedicure JUST A DIP. $80?!?!?!?! I used to get my nails done in LA California and didn't pay this much for mails read more

I got a pedicure yesterday, which was great so I decided to do a dipping power, as well. The woman who helped me RUINED my cuticles. As she was pushing them back I would since and pull away and she would tell me I was fine. My fingers were bleeding, it was not fine. I left and they were red, swollen, and bleeding. I have bandaids over every finger because they continue to bleed 24 hours later every time I bump them or use my hands for everything. My cuticles are destroyed and I'm in so much pain. I will NEVER go back to this salon. read more

I love going there but the only one I like to do my nails is Jimmy and he doesn't work most the time. Had to go somewhere else, but I don't like the job they done. read more

Do not go here. They are over priced and don't listen to what you ask them to do. $38 for a shitty manicure. Very frustrated

Live out of state. Had to do a morning pop in for one of the best pedicures I've ever had!! Highly recommend Ask for B she's awesome!!

great service! very nice people, fun to talk to, i'm not in love with my nails but would go back just because their customer service was amazing read more

We had a great service down by them. Jessica was so nice and did an amazing job!! Define rly recommend and coming back!

I LOVE this place. They did my granddaughters toenails for her wedding. Everyone is judging her age, but they were so warm and welcome. They even gave her a $3000 gift card! How kind! We will be returning... my husband needs a pedicure. LOL read more

I showed up 10 minutes before their listed closing hours and they welcomed me with a smile and friendly chatter. I needed a fill and some serious correction to my acrylics. I am picky about the shape and length of my nails when I get them done and the woman who did mine was excellent! I'd give 5 stars except the environment would be nicer with one less pedi chair and there were nail clippings on the carpeted floor near the mani stations. Very friendly staff! read more

This nail salon has given me one of the best pedi's I have ever gotten. I was visiting a family member and suggested that we get pedi's. So glad we decided to go and would come back again. read more

Great pedicure but we asked for just a regular pedicure and they told us they only had two choices. One for $50 and one for $55. So we took the $50. When our pedicures were done we saw the price of the regular pedicures for $26. When we told them they should have told us that and that is what we asked for they just said "sorry" and took our $50. Not cool, but good pedicure but not a $50 pedicure either. read more

I have had several manicures and pedicures. They were very professional and did an excellent job. I highly recommend the best package for your pedicure. ($50) you won't b disappointed. read more

I was very impressed with this place. A bit of a language barrier, but the tech really knew her craft. I was really apprehensive, it was my first pedicure. She was gentle and effecient. Will definitely be back. read more

Ive been there 7 times and spent hundreds of dollars. After dipping powder my nails were nothing but weak and brittle broke off so low on nail bed causing me pain. All this for 80$ a visit? I feel im owed some money back because this is absolutely not right. read more

Great Service! They did an all around good job. The ladies were very personable. I hadn't gotten a pedicure before and I took my mom out to treat her. Both of us had a wonderful experience. read more

Prices are a little above anywhere else I have been...But It made a huge difference to me that when my first visit I went to get information about removing my acrylics after having them without a break since 2007 (had chemo and my nails were a mess) and they were actually able to speak clear English with me. They understood every concern and I was confident they knew exactly what I wanted to accomplish. If I want a particular design - color - etc. they go above and beyond to make sure I'm pleased with it. I am pretty particular about my nails. The whole staff has welcomed me and made me feel at home. read more

I tried this place out with a friend and don't think I will be going back. We both had shellac manicures and mine lasted for over a week but hers was chipped by the next day. Really hit-or-miss with what you will get. The lady doing my nails was meticulous but the guy doing my friend's nails was in a rush to get outside to smoke in between coats of polish and hers done 10-15 minutes before mine. Wouldn't recommend. read more
