OMG! I love my pedis and I'm VERY particular. I had the "Diamond Pedicure" and let me tell you WELL worth the $60. Spent an hour on me and the massage... she literally pulled all the stress out down through my toes. It was FABULOUS! Another tech did my mother-in-law's gel dip powder and regular pedi. She usually only gets a pedi-polish change because her legs are very sensitive. The tech and I convinced her to give the full pedi a try and she loved it. Said it was so gentle. Techs are kind and accommodating and do beautiful AND meticulous work. read more

Star Nails - Pedi service - Nail Salons Near Me - Arlington, Massachusetts

Visited in a Friday at 1:30pm w appointment made on Thursday afternoon. Small store, has that old nail salon vibe apparently it used to be a market before it became a nail salon. Furniture looked fairly new. It was busy when I came in. Four nail techs. Getting my nails done is a chores so I can't speak to the "relaxation" of the place. Chairs are comfy. I had two nail techs- regular air dry polish on my toes and acrylic w tips and gel polish on my fingernails. I absolutely loveeeee it. The attention to detail is just what I needed. I have high nail beds so usually w acrylic it looks thick and unnatural but wow it looks so natural, my cuticles are nice and the polish covers every inch of the nail and sealed. Pice was very decent too! About $120 total which is good for a full set and pedi in my opinion. Street parking only but parking shouldn't be too hard to find around here. Highly recommend this place! read more

i went here for a pedicure and now i have infections on both feet. this has never happened before and i don't think it's worth the convenience to risk having a health concern. read more

Good selection of nail polish and colors from gel to dipping powder. Price - typical compared to other nail salons. They use hot towels and hot stones for the pedicure which is a nice additional touch. They were very accommodating of walk in customers. Plenty of parking outside. Tip in cash or venmo. read more

I wanted to try a new salon which was the biggest mistake of my life! If I could give this place 100 negative stars I would. First of all they messed up on my color. I tried to reason with them and have them do something different they ended up leaving me with these horrible looking nails with smudges on my feet and not only that it's my birthday this weekend! Then have the nerve to charge me $110 for this crappy work! If I were you don't waste your time! They are rude and they do horrible business. Look at these nails? Does this look acceptable? Would you pay for this? They really just ruined my whole birthday! read more

This salon was recommended to me by one of my best friends. I walked in on a Saturday and was able to get a gel manicure. I did have a 5 min wait since my nail tech was finishing up with a different client. Le Ai was my tech and I thought she did a great job. Efficient and quick. The place was clean and organized. read more

It's ok. They got got the job done. I got a pedicure. They have a more tense vibe. Not very calming. The location is perfect. Very convenient. Walking distance for me. The price is average. Nothing grabbed me as a place I have to come back to. Maybe if they were cheaper than other places or something. Just average. read more

Hi. I have been going to Star Nails for years now. I love the friendly and uplifting atmosphere, the cleanliness of the salon, and most of all the people who manage it. I have been going to Vee and love her pedicures; she always does a clean, neat and thorough job with my toes and feet. This past weekend I went to see Katie, the new owner, for a full set of nails using dipping powder. Katie brings new nail techniques to the salon (such as the dipping powder technique), and she also does additional services including eyelash extensions, waxing and facials. I love the way my nails came out! Great color (dark blue lagoon color) and they aren't chipping or cracking at all. I give Star Nails 5 stars! You definitely won't be disappointed with Vee and Katie. read more

This place was great -- clean, comfortable, quick service. The regular pedicure is what I got, hot stone massage, great smelling products. Everyone was super nice. Will be back! Oh, edit: they take credit and debit cards (not American Express, though). Like a lot of nail places, make sure you remember cash for a tip! read more

I liked the Pedi but the spa personnel were rude and not very respectful it was a tense not relaxing

If there was an option for 0 stars, that's what I would rate this salon. The service my friend and I received was by far the worst I have ever experienced in my many years of getting my nails done. I went for a pedicure, and a full dip set. My friend went for her first full dip set. While getting my pedicure, that lasted the most of 15 minutes maybe less. My pant legs were pulled just above my ankle getting my leggings wet. Typically you relax and enjoy the massage chair when getting a pedicure. I had a nail technician forcing me to start working on my full dip set standing up next to the massage chair. She literally did a rushed, far from what a professional job would be. Dipped my nails while in the massage chair. How could you possibly do a proper job like that? My toes were pained with gel with nail-polish left on the sides of my toenails. There is was no leg massage or scrub. I had shown a picture of what I wanted done to my nails along with verbally explaining. The colors were off, the nail art wasn't neat, the gems placed on one side of the nail, each nail a different length. Once my nails were accordingly finished, I was asked for the payment about 3 times in less than a minute while searching for my wallet. My friend's nails were also far from what she asked. The nail art was supposed to be cheetah, If she didn't say something the nail tech was only going to leave polka dots on the nails. The request for the gem design was completely disregarded and the tech did whatever she felt like. She then asked my friend over and over for payment as she was just gathering her things to the point I paid for her to stop the harassment for the payment. I paid $130 for a full dip set and a pedicure. I tipped both techs graciously although disappointed. I've never spent more than maybe $100 at any other salon. My friend was charged $80. Our nails have not lasted more than a little over one week before falling off, cracking, and just falling apart. dip set normally lasts around 3-4 weeks. I'm just baffled that it's been a week and half and we have to go get completely new full sets. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SALON. They clearly don't care about the customers, nor the service the provide. I personally want a refund. read more

I have been going to Star Nails for YEARS. The owner (her name is escaping me at the moment) is super friendly, and does her best to fit me in even when I call/run in last minute. Their prices are competitive, the place is clean and there's never that big of a wait - what more could you ask for? Plus, if you're a multi-tasker like me, you'll love the fact that there's a Brigham's and a tanning salon next door (in either direction) and a UPS store across the street. I love going to Star Nails and seeing Vi. Her nail salon is impeccably clean, very peaceful and calm. You feel a total sense of comfort and coziness when you are getting pampered here. Vi and her team are experienced and thorough and they do all nail services ranging from gel and acrylic manicures to pedicures and specialized treatments such as paraffin and hot stone foot massage. New management since my last review. Despite being highly recommended by a friend (same reason I prefer not to name a specific tech) two stars are for effort and geniality. Ultimately they were not able to produce the look I wanted using dip, which would have been nice to know from the beginning, and took over 2hrs between failed attempts and making me wait despite having an appt. The frosting is having been charged the same amount for "ombré" dip as my friend had been charged for a full set and design, oh, and my cuticle was bleeding.. they were super nice but overall I left disappointed and will not be returning. read more

I'm still going here for mani pedis. One of the women talked me into trying gel nails. I had gotten them done other places and they chipped or peeled after 10-12 days. I called to hopefully get in for a pedicure either same day, or next day, whenever they had an available slot! They got me RIGHT IN! I just moved to the area, and this place was AMAZING! The pedicure station is in the back, so you are not disturbed or disturbing the manicure station! They did an EXCELLENT job on my feet that have been TORN up by this winter and terrible weather! Beautiful paint job as well! A pedicure... for $25!!!! I WILL TAKE IT! and like i said, excellent paint and nail job! Thank you so much! I will ABSOLUTELY return for my manicure in the next couple of weeks! read more

I love Star Nails. Not because its some fancy spa, or it has decor like being at Bella Sante on newbury, but because of the nail techs there. It is a family oriented atmosphere, once you start going, you become a part of their family. I love Star nails, i am always relaxed inside. I do the Gel nail polish, OPI , and my nail tech Tao does an amazing job. and they last me longer then most places I have done them. read more
