I found this salon over a year ago, and I can say for sure that I will always be a client! Besides being always treated with warmth, love, and care, their job it's just fantastic. I do nails (that last over 2 weeks and believe me, I wash dishes and yes I clean the house lol), wax, and this week I had a haircut after years having a hard time trusting anybody to cut my hair, and I need to say that I couldn't be more pleased, I LOVE my new hair cut! They're great, really. Nelina and Laura are wonderful people and professionals. I will recommend them forever read more

Nelina has been cutting my hair for a couple of years now. I am always pleased with the result and get many compliments. Nelina has an artist's touch with scissors and hair dryer! She listens well to requests, and always accommodates. For a shampoo, cut and blow dry, I am in and out in half an hour. Her salon was a great find, and I am a happy customer! read more

Very weird. She cancels appointments without any reason. Doesn't make sense at all. I guess she doesn't want people requesting her services?

*This review is specifically for the amazing waxing service* Laura, the owner does all my waxing and she is amazing. For Brazilian she takes no more than 20mins and is super quick and clean. She has a large male clientele that frequent the salon and get body waxing as well (not all are forced by their pushy wives or girlfriends). Her prices are reasonable and its close to where I live. The shop is located in cutesy Arlington punctuated by candy/ice cream stores, arts & craft shops and an movie theater. Free 2 hour street parking is always available. You can also schedule an appointment online. read more

I went by recommendation of my friend Yana (she made the first review here) and I am extremely happy and satisfied! I just moved to Boston from New Hampshire in April, and have been looking to find a great salon here, and now I have found it! I only have gotten my eyebrows done but I plan to return for plenty of other services in the near future I hope. First of all -- the price can't be beat, especially for the job they do! $8 for an eyebrow waxing. I payed $15+ at my salon in NH and they hardly did as great of a job as at Infinity. They're also very thorough, accurate, and professional while also being really friendly and personable- I left the salon feeling great! It is a very clean salon and simply decorated, but a fun environment and they made me feel really comfortable. I would give them 10 stars if I could! read more

I've been going to Laura for over 6 years and she is simply the best: clean, fast and perfect for anyone who has had a traumatic waxing experience (ie everyone). Whether it's waxing or hair, she works incredibly hard to accommodate her clients, takes pride in her work and listens carefully. I'd already been a loyal customer for other services but when my regular hair stylist was booked solid, I went to Laura. She gave me the best haircut I've had in years! I became a regular. I once couldn't get to salon for awhile and despite my hair not being cut for months, I still had people regularly ask me, "did you just get a cut? It looks great." The prices and service are great - so tip generously, in cash :) read more

Infinity Beauty Salon - Not styled and still falls perfectly. Light and airy cut: just what I wanted. - Hair Salons Near Me - Arlington, Massachusetts

Just got my haircut here the other day by Nelina, and I will definitely be going back for everything beauty! I was impressed by the sanitation protocols they had in place, and felt incredibly safe. Nelina was kind and listened to all of my hair woes and made great recommendations that turned out amazing! I'm amazed that the price was only $35 for a full wash/cut/blow dry that was better than haircuts I've had that were close to $100 where the service was half as good. Definitely recommend anybody going, and I've already convinced my husband to go for his cut as well. Can't say enough good things! Thank you! read more

Infinity Beauty Salon - Hair - Hair Salons Near Me - Arlington, Massachusetts

Horrible! Ruined my hair!!!! If I could give negative stars I would! I went to this salon after seeing the reviews on Yelp, since I was moving back to the area and was looking for a new salon. Unfortunately I made a bad decision... very bad....very, very, bad. My hair is regular brown, but had become a medium brown with gold highlights after years of salon visits. When I went into the salon I explained that I wanted my medium brown color touched up where it had grown out and a few gold highlights added (but not blonde). I asked Maria if she could be gentle with me, since I had been sick a few years ago and lost a lot of my hair. But as soon as she put the color on my head in large, swirling glops, it began to itch and burn. She didn't seem concerned in the slightest and said it would go away. It was really intense and horrible, but she just said I could stratch if I needed to. I should have immediately told her to rinse it out, but for some reason I trusted her. After awhile it wasn't as bad and finally after a long time of waiting she rinsed me out. I almost passed out from the shock.... my hair was BRIGHT ORANGE for the first 3 inches, then the rest was huge blonde strips. She could tell I was shocked and kept telling me it didn't look bad, and assured me she didn't use bleach. How the heck did my hair get died a bright orange without bleach? I felt sick to my stomach, and didn't know what to do. She just kept saying it would look better when it dried. Then she asked if I wanted her to trim my split ends, and at that point I just kinda mumbled "umm okay." I really didn't think it could get worse, but it did. When she started snipping I wasn't sure what she was doing. My hair had been all one length except for some side-swept bangs and slight layering in the front. Now, not only was my hair bright orange, with blonde strips, it was also completely butchered!! Holy Crap! My hair went from at least 6 inches past my shoulders to random chops around my head just at my shoulders. I wanted to cry but held it together. As I paid her she still insisted it was fine, and I left still dazed by my new look of a Sesame Street muppet.... Zoe comes to mind. The worst part of this story..... even after I told her about my past illness and losing a lot of my hair... whatever she did made me lose even more hair! I went from holding it together to torrents of tears, like Niagara Falls when I got home. I was devastated. I didn't have time to have a correction and had to catch a flight to Miami the next morning to meet my family -- who were all completely horrified at my new look. Luckily the concierge where we were staying immediately set up an appointment for me to get color corrected at one of her favorite salons. There wasn't much they could do except trim some of the crazy random cuts to try and even my hair out and dye my hair a much darker color to cover the bright orange. I didn't recognize myself with such dark hair, but it was better than looking like a muppet. Unfortunately now after washing my hair enough times the orange is showing through and my hair has a reddish tint to it....so not me. Now I am a bit nervous to go to another salon for fear of losing more hair, and becoming practically bald, and will just have to let this nasty red color grow out another few months before I dare try to go anywhere else. I am really, really upset about this and truly sad that they have destroyed my hair this badly. (I actually have photos showing how insanely bright orange it is!) Okay, now I need to go have another cry. read more

It seems like my dirty little secret is out. My most recent visit, I called ahead to see if I could walk in or if I needed to make an appointment, and the girl who answered the phone said "We're swamped" (I was crushed), "But... I could get you in real quick if you come in right now." Music to my ears. A Brazilian waxing salon. Genius! And everyone is so nice. And it's so cheap. And... I'm in love. Obviously Laura is the queen of this place (I haven't seen her in months and I swear she recognized me! Or at least she's good at making you feel welcome), but everyone there is skilled and friendly. I live many miles away and Infinity is in my address book on my phone... It may be a long distance relationship, but when we meet, it's magic. read more

I came to Infinity Beauty because I needed a new place to get brazilian waxes and a girlfriend referred me here. I have worked in salons for a long time (so has she) so we know when someone does a good job and Infinity does a GOOD job! It's not very glam but I could care less as long as the person waxing knows what they're doing. A bad esthetician can bruise or burn the skin so it's so important to see someone with experience. Laura was amazing, she had me hairless in 15 minutes and I mean HAIRLESS! She was so thorough and so fast and made the whole experience very comfortable. Now, when it comes to going to Brazil I don't have a problem paying but I love a good deal. Brazilians at Infinity are $25! Amazing. Little hint, just because it's so cheap does not mean the tip should be too. Even with a $10 tip you can't beat the price! Love it here, I'll definitely be back. read more

Thanks again yelp, for helping me find another great spot in the boston area. I'm really happy I came here for a wax. It's tremendously out of my way but completely worth it. The best deal in the boston area for a wax because they do an exceptional job and it's not overpriced. Everyone was really nice and friendly too! read more

I'm so happy to finally have a great salon near my house, so I don't have to drive 20+ miles each way for a great haircut. I decided to try this place after reading all the favorable reviews on Yelp. I made an appointment for 9:30 a.m., but got there a little early and was seated right away. Everyone is super friendly, and I was even offered coffee and tea while I was having my hair done. Maria did a SUPERB job on my hair. I have wavy/curly hair, which is difficult to work with sometimes, but Maria made me look like a model! By the time she was done my hair was silky and beautiful. She really took her time cutting and styling my hair and making sure it was perfect. Also, the cut and style only cost me $35 (plus tip), which is a complete bargain. I will definitely be coming back here! Infinity is a full-service salon, so they also do manicures and facials and stuff. Can't wait to have my nails done here as well. read more

I am not your usual salon dwelling girl. I've had my eye brows waxed four times in my life, and my haircut very seldom. I first went to this salon about 3 weeks ago, in attempts to tame my brows. I was super nervous, but Maria got me in quick, waxed my brows quick, and did an excellent job! I liked the service and ease of everything there with my brow wax, I decided to schedule a haircut appointment. Maria once again did my hair, and listened to exactly what I wanted. She didn't over-cut my hair, she didn't undercut my hair. It's simply PERFECT! I am so happy that I know there is a reliable, good priced salon only a few blocks from home. As long as I live in Arlington, Infinity Salon will now be my go to salon for all my beauty needs! You won't be disappointed!!! read more

I had just moved from Chicago, I found this on yelp and went by the reviews. Not knowing how great this would be, always a skeptic. I had Leia that gave me a trim Best haircut I have ever had in my whole life. She also colored me. I was impressed with her patience, how much she took her time and listening giving advise and welcoming me to New England. I would recommend this hair saloon to anyone. Patience and the detail these women put into their work is amazing! I am looking forward to going back and to try the Brazilian wax! read more

This is the BEST place to come for beauty care - waxing, hair cut, etc! Though I normally go to Laura, and she is the most amazing and skilled professionals I've ever encountered, their entire team is the highest standard! I've gotten my hair cut twice here and would go back again. Maria is a doll and while she didn't quite give me the cut I was looking for (I brought in pictures), what she gave me worked 10x better for me (plus my hair was too short for the cut I wanted). I worry about getting a good cut because my hair is very very straight naturally, but she had no issues layering and nothing look uneven afterwards. My only gripe as that I asked for no product after my first cut because I was going to use henna later and she put in some anyway. The blow dryer was also way too hot, but that's my fault for not saying anything :) read more

I love Infinity!! Definitely the best place in Arlington for a wax. The prices are definitely reasonable. All of my friends who get their eyebrows done in Boston are shocked at the price I pay here for the quality! The employees always know what I want done, since I come here often, which is definitely a great feeling. They care about their customers' well-being and always remember to ask about something I told them the time I came in previously. I love Infinity and will always come back, support and recommend! read more

If I could give no stars I would. I went to her business looking for training to learn. Kim walked my boyfriend through a loan that was for 4000 with cherry. Whom she knows didn't not cover school only procedure. I did go to her business the things I seen the first few days made me realize I did not want to train here. I watched a 2 procedures Kim did. Kim asked her assistant during a procedure to grab her qtips. This person did not wash her hands did not put on gloves. Grabbed the qtips ran them under water and set them on the tray. Kim proceeded to use these qtips on this lady's open tattoo on her lips. Kim also took a Qtip touched the top of the pigment bottle wiped it on my forehead and my friend's forehead then put that same Qtip on the top of the bottle to get more pigment. This is highly unsanitary. She also had her daughters dog running all over the procedure rooms. After a few days I told her I did not want to train with her. She refused to give us our 4000 back. She then tried to bargain to keep our money saying well I might give 1000 back. The whole time I was in her place she complained about the expense of the lease of her building and how she couldn't get anyone in there. I feel like she frauded us the whole way and seen an easy way to steal 4000 dollars. Plus people beware of her non sanitary practices. It is scary!!!!!! read more

I went here for the first time today. I had never had a Brazilian wax and was super nervous. It turned out to be a great experience and would absolutely come back here for it again! So full disclosure, the first time I went it was 5 stars. I got an amazing cut and Fabio spent so much time pampering me and going over everything he was doing. I was so happy to have found a great salon! This time? He didn't remotely listen to me. My haircut is HORRIBLE and 4 inches shorter than I asked!!! I have very curly hair and so am always a little hesitant to try new places. The first time, I got an amazing cut so I was very excited to return. But this time around, he didn't listen at all! My hair is so short, I can't put it in a bun which I told him was very important because my side gig is dancing. My hair sticks out in an awkward triangle which just goes to show he wasn't paying attention to the curl. I'm so unbelievably disappointed! Please stay away from this salon if you have curly hair!!!!!!!! read more

I got a terrific haircut from Maria. The only reason I am not giving the salon 5 stars is because the decor/atmosphere leaves something to be desired. But in terms of the cut I got, I am very very happy. I've been to top salons in NY with cuts costing $100+, artsy salons in Brooklyn that are more moderately priced at $65...and have done the whole Newbury Street Groupon salon deal. This $30 cut was the best I've had in years. I was nervous at first when I saw Maria giving my long, limp hair some shorter layers ALL around my head (I've been "mullet" victim in the past at other salons)-- but she did exactly what she promised. I got a clean, layered, shapely cut that does my very straight, very fine hair a lot of justice. Thank you, Maria!! read more

The team at Infinity Salon do such an incredible job. I moved to Shelbyville almost a year ago from a big city and could not be more impressed with this salon. I never complain but I feel I need to in this case. I made the mistake of walking in looking for a pedicure and while I was met with friendly service and an offer of coffee or tea, I left literally limping. The beautician cut my toe and had to keep stopping to try staunch the blood flow with tissues. I didn't receive so much as an apology. I understand mistakes but she was fairly aggressive with all my toes so I wasn't surprised when it happened. I paid as I'm polite and South African and that's what we do but honestly, I should've walked straight out. I can't work out how to add a photo to this review but when I do, I'll post it. read more

Infinity Beauty Salon - It was still bleeding when I left. - Hair Salons Near Me - Arlington, Massachusetts

Love this salon, particularly Laura. So far, I have used her services for bikini waxing, hair cut and eyebrows, and was super happy with the 3 of them. It is particularly remarkable for the eyebrows as I had never been really convinced previously by other experiences, always ending up thinking that they weren't worth the expense. Definitely satisfied with result this time, and as the price is fair, I think I'll make an effort to let her keep my feral eyebrows in check regularly. Many thanks Laura!!! read more

I go to Amy & she is amazing. First, it's the cheapest you'll find ($30) & she gets EVERY hair. She even talks up a storm to distract you, & gives you tips on breathing so it is not as painful. 5 stars for Amy! read more

I agree with other reviewers that Laura's waxing services are good. I take stars off for administrative and client service reasons. I think the salon could be cleaner. I don't believe that they change the hygiene paper between clients. And there are no towels or smocks for the more modest. I also once tried to book service over a long weekend when apparently they were closed. Someone had recorded over their outgoing greeting and so it sounded like they had picked up the phone but weren't speaking with me. And that went on after I'd called back a few times, getting increasingly impatient, before I'd realized the error. One one occasion, after I arrived on time for a schedule appointment, I was asked to wait. That was fine as I thought Laura was just running late. During my appointment, she explained to me that they had taken a young man walk-in who "never makes an appointment" instead of me during my scheduled time. Not acceptable. I had the courtesy to make an appointment, and I had the courtesy to arrive on time. Have the courtesy to serve me at the time agreed, Infinity. Also, I am troubled that there is no pricing menu in the salon. Since their website is down, there is no way of knowing what the standard prices are. I get the sense that they charge according to what they believe people can pay. So, for example, I see prices quoted for services I have received but I pay more. Not cool. All that to say, I think Infinity's services are fine. If price is the decision-driver, they are a good choice if you can look past their poor administration, customer service, and cleanliness. read more

Had a really good haircut with Maria. I have very long and thick hair, and she cut a bunch of layers into it. I wasn't sure exactly how it would look afterwards, but she gave me an amazing blowout and I left the salon LOVING my hair. I looked like a model. Too bad I had nowhere to go that night. But now that I've done my hair myself, I definitely love the cut. As she said, it's much sexier than my old boring style. read more

I'm a man and I get complimented on my brows a lot so it's only right I let Yelpers know who cleans them up for me. I've tried it all, straight edge by my barber, threading by Indians, but since I got my eyebrows waxed here by Amy, I have not had a reason to go back to those former methods. Amy really takes her time and makes sure that my brows are perfectly symmetric. A wax here, a wax there, a pluck here and a pluck there and next thing you know my brows are the envy of even some women out there. I swear, sometimes it will be two months after and I'm still getting compliments. Thanks Amy! read more

One month ago I would have given Infinity five stars for their eyebrow wax simply based on price and and the thorough job. Within the past few weeks, however, the price has nearly doubled to $15. That's a lot of money to pay just to have my eyebrows waxed at the hair washing sink within view of the front door and waiting area. For $15 I can (and will!) go to my usual spa/salon and be treated to soft music, dimmed lights, candles, a private room, and a glass of wine. read more

Laura is amazing for the Brazilian - Yelp wins again! She is very sweet, keeps the atmosphere comfortable, and does a sanitary, efficient, and thorough (like, REALLY thorough) job. $30 for 20 min is a crazy good deal. She prefers to take her tips in cash, just FYI. read more

I'm new to the area and was searching for a salon which would use a product in my hair that no one here seems to carry. Based on other Yelp reviews, I called Infinity and they agreed to use the product if I brought it with me. (I had called other recommended salons and most said "no" or were reluctant, though it's a Sebastien product, nothing exotic.) Fabio did a very careful job applying the cellophane product to my hair, better than I was used to, really. It really stains the skin, and he carefully removed as much as he could. I hope their haircuts will be as good as their coloring, because I intend to go there again soon. Very friendly staff on the whole. I couldn't be more pleased with the job Fabio did. read more

Worst manicure of my life. She did not sterilize the tools between appointments. The person before me got a pedicure and I watched the "manicurist" (I'm not sure what sort of training she had...) use the same exact tools on my finger nails without cleaning/sterilizing them. She also cut my cuticle which made me bleed. Here's to hoping I don't get an infection since the tools weren't sterile... She also got polish all over my skin and the top coat was horrible- not shiny or glossy whatsoever. The list goes on and on. And to top it all off they overcharged me. I had to call back and wait on the phone while they tried to figure out how to refund me the difference. Eventually I asked for a full refund but a refund doesn't make up for the wasted time and complete frustration. read more

I chose Infinity over a few other neighborhood options based on their reviews on Yelp. I went for my first Brazilian wax. Laura was very kind and did a great job! She put me completely at ease and kept talking even when the pain grew a little intense. It is a small salon, and not fancy, but the people are very nice. This isn't a negative, only an FYI, I did have to walk past Fabio cutting a man's hair, who was visiting with another man. That was a little weird, as I expected it to be an all female environment. I should have read the other reviews closer. Not a big deal, just a small mental adjustment considering I was already anxious about my first time getting a wax. Was there pain? Yes, I won't lie, but it was tolerable and Laura was fast. read more
