I found posts about Susan @ Salon Salado on the Nextdoor app and then checked out the reviews on Yelp. It was one of the best salon experiences I've had in years and below are the reasons why.... 1. I have extremely thin & fine hair that shows even the smallest cutting or coloring mistake, but there were none. 2. She took the time to find out what I really wanted and made sure I understood what choices were made. 2. For the first time, in many years, I walked out of the salon loving my hair and feeling pretty. 3. She's great with bangs and did them perfect, which hasn't occurred in the last ten years. 4. While drying my hair, she showed me tricks on how to style in ways that had never been explained in the 40 years getting my hair done. 5. The pedi/mani she gave was fantastic. Susan actually let my feet soak long enough to make removing calluses and cuticles without using tools of torture....no cheese graters allowed in her salon. Thank you Susan. I had the hot stones as opposed to the paraffin wax for my calves & it was just the thing I needed. Dan was my attendant & she did an awesome job. Don is a great guy too! Highly recommend as a first time visitor and my wife says this is her pick for her usual full mani/pedi & I'm glad she recommended I come with her today. The TVs usually show interesting and entertaining YouTube videos if you're bored. Lastly these are some of the best full massage chairs I've ever seen in a salon and using the arm compression part was satisfying!

So I was having some pain in my lower back for two days, everytime I stood or sat it was like…read moresomeone was shoving forks in my back. I finally had enough and started calling around to see if there was same day availability for an hour and a half. Invisions was a home run. I was a little nervous at first because it was a spa, and not specifically a massage therapy. My body is a mess and I require a therapist that actually knows what they are doing. I have had too many massages in the past where I have left hurting more and wanting to cry from zero relief from the pain. Thankfully I had nothing to worry about with this place. I was given a wonderful therapist by the name of Chase. He was professional and polite, briefly explained what he was going to do after I explain my issue, and as soon as he started on my feet i was in "love". Now I prefer deep tissue, it is the only way to get the tension out, and I must say I was pleased. Chase used elbows, nuckles, and thumbs like the knots in my back had no hope for tomorrow, it was painfully amazing. If I had any critique on the experience, it was the awkward silence, and I don't mean no talking silence. I am so glad I decided to bring my head phones with me this time, because there was absolutely no music in the room. I think next time I am just going to bring a speaker with me so it's not so weird.

My original appointment was at 3:20, and I received a notification around noon on appointment day that I had been rescheduled for 3:45. I thought it was weird that they didn't call or text to confirm the new time works for me, but it did work yesterday so I didn't worry too much about it. I did wonder if this is a frequent thing because a lot of times I am squeezing appointments in between meetings and can't be flexible with appointment times. Anyhoo, I arrived at 3:45 and stood at the front for five minutes before a massage therapist came out to check out her guest. She tried to help me but wasn't sure what paperwork was needed, but did let me know my lash stylist was finishing another appointment and had me wait in the waiting area. At 4:05, 20 minutes after my rescheduled appointment, I left without ever seeing the lash stylist. When I got home, I saw that I received an email at 3:25pm that said "your appointment is coming up" and I was now scheduled for the next day. I didn't receive a notification of any rescheduling this time, and to reschedule for a second time the day of an appointment without even checking that the new time works is ridiculous. Not to mention rescheduling 20 minutes before the appointment is supposed to start. If I cancelled with 20 minutes notice, I'd be charged for the appointment. I'm not sure why anyone would think it's acceptable to do the same to a customer.
