Stopped by to pick up breakfast and again .. they don't disappoint. Walk in and instantly .. it has a lovely aroma of fresh baked goods ! The service was friendly and sweet . They made my breakfast croissant from fresh ingredients as I watched them crack and fry my eggs and toast my croissant! They have a couple tables inside and out, if you choose to stay. Delicious donuts. We tried this donut shop back to back with another place not too far away and while the other place had a good blueberry cake donut - this was even better. I liked that even though they're fried, the blueberry cake didn't have an oily taste and it was moist. My husband loves old fashioned and cake donuts so he was super excited to see a crumb old fashioned as well as a blueberry old fashioned because he's never seen those before. He really liked the blueberry old fashioned. We also got a raised cinnamon twist because although I don't have a sweet tooth - I do prefer raised donuts. I will say it was delicious. Glazed Twister ($1.85, Grade A) The twister at Star Donuts was very good as well. Not too sweet. Not too oily from over-frying. And the texture was chewy - I don't like airy donuts. Plus you could tell it was fresh which should always go without saying at a donut shop, but it happens sometimes. I'd come back and apparently I could come back anytime. This place is open 24 hours ... almost. She said they close for 2 hours between 8p-10p when the baker returns to make the donuts.
