This was the first time we'd ever used cleaning services, so I called a variety of places to ask questions and get quotes. Lucy was the most responsive and genuine one. She was the only one to say that she felt more comfortable giving a quote only after seeing the space. That made 100% sense to me. When we met up with Lucy, she was punctual and so respectful of our new space. We felt really comfortable letting her in and checking everything out. She pointed out places I hadn't even considered cleaning. She gave realistic expectations as to what could be done and what may not end up perfect (nature of living in a very old apartment!) Lucy and her team LITERALLY made our apartment spotless. I couldn't believe it. The grime off the fridge handles gone. It looked like a different fridge. The air conditioner that probably hadn't been cleaned in years -- just check out the pics. Floors were clean, walls and ceilings clear, and even the bathtub and wall tiles that didn't look promising looked so much better. The inside of every cabinet was dust-free! They even cleaned things they didn't have to, it was just that extra touch that shows how thoughtful they are. My favorite things to see clean were the ceiling light fixtures. I'm glad I did, considering she had stated that she would confirm with me a few days before the cleaning. This is our communication two days before the cleaning: ME: "Good morning, Karly B. Hope you're doing well. I'm just checking in to let you know that we're looking forward to our move-out cleaning on Wednesday." KARLY B: "...unfortunately I'm having my wisdom teeth removed on Tuesday, so I won't be able to do the cleaning." Wisdom teeth extraction is not typically scheduled just two days in advance, so I find it hard to believe her. I'm really surprised because had I not messaged her, I would have been left hanging. Customers need to be informed promptly when a business cannot meet its obligations so they can seek other remedies. I am really disappointed in Karly's Independent Cleaning. If she wanted to cancel the cleaning, she should have done so. As an independently owned business, Karly B needs to communicate better with her customers. This is not a reliable service.

The actions I mentioned were in addition the every other nook and cranny in my house being thoroughly cleaned. She really went above and beyond.
