Super nice. Super friendly and rescued me on Christmas Eve an hour before closing. And they stayed around until it was done. Extremely reasonable prices. They were extremely honest and said that my serpentine belt looked fine and they didn't recommend doing the work but I have been having some issues that pointed to the serpentine belt. So they did it and they did it quick and they did a great job. read more

Sam and Siri were very helpful and kind. I was a walk-in client and they serviced and fixed my car right then and there. 10/10 would recommend and will definitely be back for other car service needs. read more

My wife's PT Cruiser's driver side electric seat and switch quit working. (For some reason this is a main issue other PT Cruiser Owner's complaints) Star Auto has worked her car before and my Ford Taurus station wagon. The repair was fixed within a few hours (I drove the car in at 8am, when they first opened) Wife very happy! Yes we would use them again. We were charged $125.00 dollars, I am sure the dealer would have cost us double. Thank You Star Auto Owner(s) and Workers ! read more

Sam! Long over due review. I brought my truck and my Impreza for an oil change 30 mins before they were about to close. Called up and Sam told me to bring it in. Thanks for that! Done in about 15 mins. Price was very fair compared to when I brought my vehicle to another shop who filled my truck with full Synthetic which when Sam checked he said I I didn't need it cause the VIN number tells otherwise. Saved me a ton on that. And also he was very honest to refund the filter charge that they didn't use! Thanks again! I will be back for a brake service soon. read more

They rip you off! Even their services are not reliable. I went to this shop twice one in 2016 and last time in 2019. I went there in 2019 to change my pads. I knew i had to change the rotors too, but because the owner realized i am not able to pay over a certain amount, he told me they will install the pads after machine the rotors, so there is no need to change the rotors. I took the car somewhere else, and they checked the rotors and showed me the rotors, they were not good enough for pads installation and even doing machine. However for 4 pads he offered me $380 (the price is for pads, machine two rotors and labor). However, i got 4 pads with lifetime warrenty for $100, and 2 good quality rotors with again lifetime warrenty $120, and with $80 labor, installed all of them and fixed my car. I went there in 2016 and they charged me $600 for 4 pads, 2 rotors and labor. After their repair in 2016, when i was pushing the brake, i could hear a strange sound. However, i do not hear that sound anymore after changing pads in another shop. i do not recommend this place at all. They rip you off and do not offer a good service. I picked this store up because it is a mile away from my home. But from now and on i prefer to drive a few miles more to get a better service with sufficient price. Best. read more

The whole shop is full of wonderful people. They care about customer service and their relationship. Money is not as important as much as the customer service relationship. Sam was extremely nice and went out of his way to save me some money without any coupons or any codes. I would definitely let you try it you don't have to go with the service but try to see that there are nice people. read more

I ordered running boards for my Jeep Wrangler with Sam's assistance. The price was cheaper than the dealer with the same quality parts. The parts arrived early and was installed on the same day. The finished product (running boards installation) was perfect. Sam and his staff did an amazing job. This is the second time that I have used this business and it has always been positive and professional. I would recommend this business to anyone. Sam, thanks for the great assistance as usual. read more

As a mechanic myself I'm a very tough critic for shops. I was on vacation when my X5M needed some immediate attention. I didn't have access to a shop so I called these guys and ran them through the my checklist. They sounded knowledgeable and like they were familiar with European cars. When I arrived I saw the mechanics owned European cars and they are the cars they are passionate about. If you have an M car or AMG these guys will save you thousands compared to the dealer and their techs are just as good. I never told them I was a mechanic or that I knew exactly what the problem was and they were completely honest and very reasonable and quick. 5 stars!! read more

10/10 would recommend. Real nice, real genuine and helpful guys! Shout out to Wahid! Told me exactly what the issue was, issue was fixed. Even went on a test drive with me to make sure everything was running smoothly. Thanks fellas! read more

I called them 30 minutes before they closed to look at an emergency problem on my vehicle. I was overwhelmed and completely at a loss with how to proceed. Sam came to check the problem out immediately when we pulled up and was so kind, level headed and patient. I had an amazing interaction with all of the staff. Professional, knowledgeable, and most of all, kind. Perfect service, can't recommend them enough. Your decency and understanding in this crisis moment meant the world to me. I called this morning to get a qoute for brakes and rotors. Joey answered the phone and let me know that they offer a free inspection. Thankful to the crew here at Star Auto. They bailed me out when I had a flat tire on Culver and Michelson. It's a busy shop and they were quick, friendly and kind. They gave me two options - patch the tire (from the inside) or plug it. The proper thing to do was to patch and they got it done efficiently and without hassle. I also had them rebalance that wheel too. Thanks gentlemen! I'm back on the road in less than 30 minutes! Much appreciated. Great service. read more

A wonderful place! Sam was very kind and attentive. Your car is in good hands over at Star Auto Services!

This place is incredible! I had the unfortunate experience of my tire shredding on the freeway but was lucky enough to pull off the freeway into a shopping center with Star Auto. I called AAA at first to get towed to a dealership and they quoted me 2 hours, then the dealership told me that if I wasn't there by 3:45 they wouldn't help me. I was extremely frustrated, and then the amazing owner or Star Auto came over to offer his help!! Within 10 mins I had everything I needed done, he personally sent an employee to go pick up a tire from a facility down the street rather than make me wait 24 hours to order one. They fixed it so fast and I was Done within 45 mins, I paid way less than I would have at the dealership and they only charged me a $40 fee for everything!!! I am absolutely going to come here from now on and I suggest anyone else who finds themselves in that unfortunate situation comes here too!!! read more

When I went I went there, I attempted to fix my back window by myself. I check the fuse box and switch, so I figured it was the regulator which takes a good 2 plus hours to fix. Sam said he would confirm and check it. Later the day, he called and and told me that the issues was a cut wire. Instead of easily making profit on his customers he was transparent and honest. He save me about $200 off the work if I had taken it anywhere else! Best decision and definitely recommend my friends to come here! read more

Star Auto Services - Star Auto - Auto Repair Near Me - Irvine, California

Just moved to Irvine recently and I've been trying to find a good mechanic to trust my old 2002 gs300 with. Came in the other day with a mystery flat tire with no leaks or nails- nothing. Sam was very informative and guided me through every step of the process. He explained what diagnostics he was running and why, turns out my rear wheel had a rim leak. When they had finally figured out the issue, he gave me my options, no bullshit, but even they he went the extra mile and fixed it up for me for no extra charge. Amazing and honest people! Will be coming back again read more

A dear friend sent me to Joey at Star Auto when I was in a jam and I am forever grateful. I am very particular about my vehicles, and I like to know exactly what's being done. Joey and the rest of the guys go above and beyond for me and every other person I've seen there. Could not be happier with the people and their work. I refuse to take my vehicles anywhere else. Seeing not only the quality of their work but how they treat every individual like family, I don't know how it's possible for anyone not to give them 5 stars. Respectful, honest, caring and trustworthy. Very rare and difficult qualities to find in this business. My family and friends will remain life long customers. read more

A huge shout-out to Star Auto Service in Irvine! My daughter was driving at UCI and her older car started making horrible noises - like it was dying. She looked for the nearest mechanic and by chance, stumbled onto Star Auto. They (the manager Sam was great & personable) squeezed her in and the most important thing is that they are trustworthy as they weren't trying to oversell or price gauge in an emergency situation. They got the car running. Couldn't be happier. Highly recommend. read more

i drove 8 hours in my car to visit family and noticed my breaks were grinding. obviously this is a bad sign. the day after I arrived to Orange County, I called this shop to see if they could fix my breaks. I wouldn't have been able to get home a few days later with my breaks gone. they happily said they could fix my car - same day. I got the front rotors replaced along with all four brake pads. the staff here are extremely polite and helpful. they did a great job. i, in no way got the feeling that this shop was trying to scam me which is rare nowadays. Great, friendly service! I had a nail in my tire, so I called to see if they had time to fix it. Sam told me to come in right then and they patched it for $35 in less than 30 mins. Then about a week later, my tire pressure error light was coming on again, so took my car back to Sam to see if the patch didn't hold or what the deal was. But luckily, the patch was fine, the error was just due to the rest of my tires being low, so the guys put air in my tires free of charge. Thanks Star Auto! Appreciate your help! read more

I had a flat tire and decided to go here cause it was nearby. I went into the office on the right and was greeted by a very rude and ill-tempered manager in the office, short indian guy with a beard, who rushed me to get my car into the garage only to waste my time not knowing what the problem was and tell me to park in another place overnight. DO NOT GO HERE unless you want to be treated like shit after having a bad day. read more

Greta customer service, will give you a discount if someone refers you. Took $300 off my brake pads, not gonna complain.

Amazing auto services provided here. I have been living In SoCal for over 2 years now and refuse to go anywhere else for my car troubles. The owner is nice and reliable. It's hard to beat the friendly service and amazing prices. I came in here last week for a dent, on a walk in, and was helped right away.
