Make sure to make the Stappa at Stappa Vineyard next time you're traveling through CT! This vineyard is so easy to get to and is right off the Merritt Parkway. It is a great option if you are sitting in traffic and would rather have a glass of wine! Their staff was very friendly, and they have a great assortment of wines to choose from. We tried the flight and loved every single one. Their outdoor seating is great, and there's plenty of space for kids to hang out. Inside, it looks like it would be a great place to host a party or bridal shower as well. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area!

Attended a wonderful evening of yoga, wine and beautiful music at this excellent winery. I got the tasting and was pleasantly surprised to enjoy the 06477, which the friendly bartender recommended. I left with a bottle. The staff was friendly and the venue was beautiful. I will definitely return with friends to enjoy their outdoor area! Though tip for anyone going, bring snacks! Their one food option is kind of pricey.

Nice layout. Relaxing. Indoor outdoor. Beautiful . We were here at the same time as a separate wedding. They accomplished everything flawlessly

Stappa what you're doing and head here stat. One of the cutest wine scenes in the state, I met up with some girlfriends the other day for a cute wine and charcuterie afternoon of sips & snacks. I was a big fan of the sparkling wine that we used in mimosas, it was just the right level of sweet deliciousness that I look for. The cheeses that they have paired with the wine was simply splendid, so I'm a huge fan. We went upstairs to look at the whole downstairs area below and it's an absolutely beautiful space, I def recommend it for a small get together. I also cannot wait to come back and try more of the wine options and sit and relax with some friends.

This was my first time going to Stappa Vineyard (and it was long overdue). It is on route 34 and I can definitely tell you to be vigilant for the driveway. It's well marked, but, with everything on 34...easy to pass lol. The parking lot is directly attached to the outside seating are so there is not a lot of walking required and plenty of umbrellas around for shade! The building itself is adorable. The decor is woodsy and almost fairy like. There is good seating inside too. The staff was lovely and helped me select a wine off the list. I went with a staff favorite, 064-Seven Seven. I am usually a red gal, but with the heat I wanted something chilled and this hit the spot. The flavor was orange and peach but nice and dry. I don't know what the hobbit hole looking structure is outside, but you're setting up a great picture opportunity regardless! I will definitely be returning in the near future!

It was a beautiful fall day so we decided to go to Stappa before it got too cold to enjoy the outside seating. So glad we went. Drive up a dirt driveway and park next to the grape vines. Beautiful building housing the tasting room and the stainless steel vats making the wines. When you enter you are hit with the smell of the winemaking process. I like that smell. Inside had a bunch of tables, nicely decorated and a cute sitting area with couch and table. Nice selection of wines. We had a bottle of the Cayuga and a bottle of the sparkling white wine. The Cayuga was a bit too buttery for me. They told us it was the closest to Pinot Grigio, I found it a bit heavier and a little more buttery than a Pinot. I loved the sparkling white wine, my boyfriend thought it was too sweet, me. I thought it had just the right hint of sweetness. We then had to agree on a bottle to share and to my surprise I actually chose the Chardonnay, typically neither one of us like Chards, this one however was not typical. It was not so heavy or oaky. Not huge butter taste. Found it very easy to drink. He said he should have had it over the Cayuga to start. By the time we left inside had become full and was everyone was enjoying the wine and the company they were with Feel free to bring your own food and set up for a nice afternoon. They do sell cheese boxes but that was it for food selection there. We will definitely be back!! Do yourself a favor and stop in for a glass or bottle of wine. Cheers

This is a beautiful setting! Vineyards all around. There are umbrellas and outdoor seating as well as very air-conditioned inside seating. Try the rosé frozé! We also tried a flight. Everything was good.

Such a cute vineyard.Even in April the grounds looked good but I can only imagine during summer or fall!!The building is gorgeous with a beautiful chandelier and nice tall ceilings. The music in the background was at a great level, loud enough to enjoy it but quiet enough to hear and have a lovely conversation. We had a wine flight and while all the ones pictured, were good ,my favorite was the Riesling .Refreshing and light went very well with the Charcuterie box included in the special package.Service was excellent!Would love to come back!

A vineyard this pretty and with such great views wouldn't be expected to be found right on Rt. 34. What a pleasant surprise. The indoors is very clean and tastefully decorated - it looks very polished and classy. The bathrooms are very nice and clean. We each ordered a flight that we tasted at a table indoors, then ordered a frosé for outside. It was the best one I've ever had. I didn't love their wines, but that's just my personal preference, but I would definitely return for the frosé. The grounds are very pretty with plenty of seating. A flight is $12 and they sell charcuterie boards and Counterweight beer. I would recommend everyone check this place out.

So charming and cute. The food might be a miss. But the beverages are on point. Fast service and well decorated. Great for a picnic and gatherings.

I visited this winery during an annual CT "staycation" winery trip and I am SO glad we chose Stappa as one of our stops. The grounds of the vineyard are gorgeous and I would love to come back in the summer and enjoy some wine outside. The inside is stunning as well and we could not stop raving about the obvious attention to detail throughout the entire space. We were served by the husband of one of the owners and he was so nice to chat with and gave us a detailed background on the vineyard and it's history. I started out with a flight so I could try a few different wines and I loved them all. I ended up enjoying a glass of the 064-seven seven which is their orange wine and it was hands down one of the best wines I've ever had at a vineyard in CT. I brought a bottle of that wine home and I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

Have visited Stappa multiple times since they opened and I swear the wine gets better and better each time! I came for the release of their 06477 wine and was recently there on my birthday and had the sparkling rose, which was fabulous! It's so peaceful and intimate there, really enjoyable!

Excluding me and the driver, there were about 10 passengers. I had two seats to myself. And speaking of seats, they were very comfortable. There was decent legroom (I'm 6'1"). Initially, I couldn't find the outlet. I eventually discovered that it' was hidden under the seat. And unlike the Hampton Jitney, the bus wasn't covered with a tacky looking wrapping. The bus left Manhattan at 1 PM. It was scheduled to arrive at Montauk at 4:15 PM. It arrived at 3:28. And with that said, the ride was far from perfect. The bus was as bumpy as a school bus. It was pure torture. The driver seemed like he didn't want to be bothered. He wasn't mean, just apathetic. Other than checking in people and announcing the stops in a soft voice, he said nothing. I paid $34 which is reasonable. The Luxury Liner doesn't run nearly as frequently as the Jitney or LIRR Montauk branch. Furthermore, you don't get the VIP treatment like on the Hampton Ambassador. If you're looking for a no frills experience and you don't care about comfort then the Luxury Liner is ideal.

Our driver was initially meant to be Joseph, but he was replaced at the last minute with a man named George. Our driver, George, stole from us and then told a false story about it! when waiting for the bridesmaids to descend, someone in the party paid him in cash when we were at the hotel (to my understanding, they're not even supposed to take payment beforehand, and he even angrily counted the money in front of him). We then had to go around the entire arena after he dropped us off at the incorrect entrance, which presented another problem. Unaware that someone in the party had already paid him, the matron of honor and bride gave him another cash gratuity. Without uttering a word, he accepted the packet. When the bride's family and I realized the next day that we had paid him twice, we called the firm. However, the driver insisted that our party member had never paid him, despite the fact that several witnesses had seen the money! As long as this dishonest driver continues to operate, we will NEVER suggest this company to anyone. They were really difficult to work with in attempting to make things right, and they never offered us an apology or a refund. If I could, I would rate something with a negative star.
