Had an amazing time going on a wine tour with this company. They took care of everything! Bus came promptly to pick us up and our bus driver Darryl greeted us warmly. He helped us get our drinks and snacks on the bus and it was a smooth ride to the first winery. It was our daughter's 40 th birthday and she and her 9 friends sang songs from 1984 that they blasted through the buses amazing speakers. We had a great experience with Long Island North Fork Wine Tours! Our original tour was scheduled for October, but due to a family emergency we had to cancel at the very very last minute. NFWT made it so easy for us to change the date without any additional charges. The day of our tour we were were surprised with an upgrade to our vehicle that elevated the experience (we were a group of 17, mix of family and friends). I would give ZERO stars if I could. Yelpers: look elsewhere. Do not book with this company. They are disorganized, run an outdated and broken down fleet, and employ dangerous drivers. Most importantly, as other reviewers have pointed out.. they ignore you when you try to bring it to their attention. There is NO attempt to discuss or make it right. Our trip consisted of a limo on an 85+ degree day that had one working AC vent. Visible dirt, dust and hair lined the plastic cups they provided (not a huge problem as we brought our own, but they clearly did not adequately clean the vehicle before our arrival). Despite feeling like we overpaid for a POS car, we were ready to go on an adventure. As we pulled away, it became clear that the entire sound & music system was broken. I have to say, that's pretty much a no-go when you rent a vehicle for a celebration. Sitting in silence and not being able to play music from any outlet sucked. The driver was completely clueless on the system, did not speak much English, and wasn't able to assist. We had a person in our car who is super knowledgeable about A/V and after about 45min of trying to solve for it, had to give up. That really sucked. Now, these reasons alone are enough to go to another company. The fleet is not up to the standard of what you're paying for. But... here's where it gets a lot worse. At the end of the day, our driver had to swerve MULTIPLE times because he was not paying attention to the road. We swerved more than once completely off the road, up onto the shoulder & grass to avoid rear-ending other cars. As this happened I started panicking and told the person closest to the driver window to tell him to slow down and take it easy, just politely letting him know we are not in any rush and want to get home unharmed. He got very defensive. The car was so silent after that, you could hear a pin drop as we gripped our seats and awaited in anticipation a return to our final destination. I understand and respect that a business owner may not always know of these issues unless they receive constructive feedback. I always feel like they should be given a chance to address and fix. A very polite email to Mike was crafted detailing a few things. A response came with a promise to "look into it". After that, Mike disappeared, a flurry of confusing emails followed, we had to clarify who we could discuss the matter with and eventually was led to Amanda, then back to Mike who had returned from being out of office. He dodged two scheduled phone calls to discuss our matter, meanwhile Amanda did not seem to be interested in covering him, revealing an odd work dynamic that is really none of the customer's business. One of them needed to pick up the phone and handle the complaint in two weeks' time. They dropped the ball on any level of customer communication and service. Yelpers... I feel like it's my duty to warn people. Your safety and life is worth so much more than a subpar trip with this "luxury limo" company. read more

I find it interesting that you were able to write an update to your Yelp review, George - but were unable to return my phone calls or emails after we first spoke about the initial problem. I called you to let you know we were using another limo and you did not pick up. I called you to ask you why you charged me the full amount for the tour and you did not pick up. I emailed you and you ignored me serval times. And on the note on the van - despite it's fancy description by George - the van was in terrible condition. It was not luxe AT ALL. Not at all comparable to a limo. And it was also NOT in good condition. George, you need to revisit that van. You clearly have never been inside it and don't have people cleaning it well. I would have vocalized all this to you if you had returned my calls. $600+ for that van is a JOKE. It is not a practice of mine to waste my time writing reviews on companies and services that don't warrant it. I only wrote my original review (and this update) because I wish this was up on the site when I was checking out the company so I would know in advance to not ruin the Bachelorette Party I was planning. What a pain to be dealing with this months after - I am still dealing w the CC charges. I initially gave George credit for being nice in our first interactions but clearly "speaking nicely" means nothing. I'd prefer someone who spoke like a jerk but was able to deliver the service I requested and someone who didn't try to scam me with CC charges. MORAL OF THIS STOY: RENT A LIMO. They will take you to whatever Wineries you want. Everyone offers discounts and deals. Do not bother w George or this company - avoid the major aggravation. They were super communicative both before and during our tour - there was some snow the day of our tour and one of the wineries we had planned to visit closed due to weather but the North Fork Team called me that morning to provide an update and ensure that they had already coordinated another winery for us to visit. I was delegated with the task of planning a day out east for an entire wedding party. After doing some research I decided to use North Fork Wine Tours. Boy, do I wish I did more research. This company by no means lived up to their high standards and prestige reputation. Let's start off by saying I requested a "coach bus" with a bathroom. I did not realize that a coach bus simply meant just seating without anywhere to move or walk around. I admit that this is a mistake on my end but you would of thought that 'The Wine Tour Team" who had been emailing back and forth with me would have mentioned something. There was no picture on their website of this kind of bus that showed up the day of and to email me the day before saying that the bus we will be taking for almost 2 hours with 20 people will not have a bathroom is ludicrous. It was too late to scramble around and look for a new company, as everything had been plan with the particular wineries. The bus showed up minutes late and we still had to decorate the bus and load everything on. To my prior experience buses usually arrived earlier then the time of departure to allot for the opportunity to set everything up. Once we stepped onto the bus it felt as though we were walking into a sauna. The rear of the bus has no air condition which made everything 100 times worse. There was a huge pile of fluid on the floor in the aisle when we got onto the bus, which we had to clean up ourselves, and it left an old musky scent. So we finally get everyone and everything onto the bus and we're ready for departure. Everyone is already complaining, as it is a 90-degree Saturday in August with no air condition ready for a two-hour drive to Southold. What could possibly make this drive any more miserable? A broken Aux/Bluetooth speaker. The bus's stereo system was not working as it played static noise the entire time. We tried everything to switching up phones to playing our own music but to no avail. So now were stuck with this bus, with no bathroom, no air condition and now no music. North Fork Wine Tour shame on you for even allowing this bus to be in service. On the way there the interior of the bus was so hot that the leather from the seats was now coming off the seats and sticking to everyone's legs and hands. (pictures attached) What kind of "reputable" company would consent to this type of customer service? To say I am disappointed is an understatement. I would NEVER recommended this tour to anybody and wish that anyone who reads this understands the disappointment and frustration that it caused between myself and everyone in the wedding party. I look forward to hearing back from you to rectify this situation and perhaps be compensated for the inconvenience and anxiety it caused not only between myself but to everyone who was supposed to be apart of this special day. read more

Before booking, I had spoken with Ashley on the phone, who was amazing. I was unfamiliar with the wineries over in North Fork, and she was extremely informative and helpful. Thank you Ashley! We visited Osprey's, Pellegrini (with the lunch delivery), and Duck Walk. Tommy was out driver, and he was fantastic. He was so kind. He took many pictures of us (on a Bachelorette party, so pictures are a must!), and was in constant communication with me throughout the trip. We even met Michael at Pellegrini's and he was so kind, making sure we were enjoying ourselves. We were recommended NFWT through some of the guests on the trip, and they certainly delivered. They even dissuaded my from booking at a specific hotel and they felt it wouldn't be appropriate for my wife's 60th celebration. I'm not one to leave bad reviews but I'm very disappointed in this company. I had put down a $350 deposit in early 2020 which they said was refundable and the bachelorette party ended up getting cancelled (thanks COVID.) I told them to keep my deposit and I'd rebook when it was re-planned. Well the bachelorette party got scrapped all together and I emailed Michael letting him know and asking for my deposit back... crickets even after a couple emails, and I couldn't get anyone on the phone. I guess I'm out a refundable deposit, live and learn I guess, but I wouldn't recommend using them after this experience. read more

However, I am not usually the person to slam a business on social media- so instead I wrote to them TWO WEEKS ago and received not even acknowledgement for my concerns or issues. So therefore, I'm rating them 1 star and sharing my experience below. Find another company or plan something yourself! Good afternoon, I wanted to send you an email to share with you my thoughts of my experience this weekend with North Fork Wine Tour. This is the first time I have used a service for a wine tour. We usually drive ourselves or hire a car service company that just charges us hourly and we coordinate the reservations ourselves. The process of reserving was very easy, I thank you for responding so quickly. I was a bit skeptical when I received a phone call 2 days before to confirm the gratuity amount, but I understand business is not the same with COVID. However, during that conversation you stated I would be in a new 2019 vehicle, and I was very disappointed when it arrived. The carpet by the door was completely ripped and there was no way to connect our phones to play music. There was an Outdated AUX cord, that does not connect to any phone that has been made in the last 4 years. When we asked our driver to show us how to just use the radio that was completely static- he had no idea and just stated "you have to play with it". We ended up playing the music on a really loud volume from one of our phones. I did not think a car made in 2019 would not be equipped with Bluetooth. At the first stop (Riverhead Ciderhouse) Joseph dropped us off and drove away. When we walked in I informed them we had reservations and they said our driver told them we didn't. I then had to call the office who said the driver should have paid. It was just a mix up, and while we had to wait which took time away from our tasting and time in general it wasn't that big of a deal. However, at the next stop (Raphael) when he started to drive away I asked him "do you have to pay for us here?"-- he just said "I don't know".... I then had to go in and ask the woman at the desk how it works, go back outside to Joseph and tell him to come in and pay, etc.... it was frustrating. Also, regarding Raphael, which I love, we wanted to do a tasting and not order bottles or glasses. Many in our group had never been. However, when I asked you earlier in the week if that was the case you had just indicated the tasting was confirmed- so when I found out we could not get a tasting it was just another disappointment for the day. I know I am usually the one who plans events for my family and friends so maybe my standards were just too high, but I was very disappointed to have paid $1300 for such a poor experience. While the concept of the tour was a great one, in the future I will be going back to the way I used to do it. read more

Michael and the team were nothing but helpful and respectful from the initial email to the day of our tour. This was the first wine tour I had planned and it was for a bachelorette party of 13 people. Michael answered all of my (many) questions and got back to me in an extremely timely manner. The entire process of booking and planning our trip was effortless and extremely pleasant! The day of the tour went off without a hitch! Our driver, Al, was easy to communicate with and really made our days even better!! We really hit the jackpot with him! We had a blast on the bus and actually asked if we could leave a winery early to hang out on the bus and Al responded quickly and allowed us to remain on the bus as we wanted to. Highly recommend! NFWT was responsive over email leading up the the trip, making every little change I needed and answering every concern. And on the day of, the driver was an absolute gem. Showed up on time, bus looked great, clean, had a working bathroom, had ice and waters and Bluetooth... he was so friendly and helpful, getting us set up at each winery, patiently taking group photos for us, texting me when we were 15 minutes from leaving each, and then coming inside to check on us if I didn't respond (drinking and socializing so you know how it gets). We got the Lux option with lunches and they were all good and served to us at a good time. We visited Raphaels, which was an extra cost but honestly so worth it if you have a crew who likes a beautiful ambience and good wine. We also did Pellegrinis a private area for our group. It wasnt as pretty and the service wasn't as good as Raphaels, but had some great wines. We are super happy with our experience with NFWT, and I was nervous bc we were hosting an older crowd who is used to nice things. I will definitely use them again. read more

I have done many wine tours with my friends and family in the past, but was never the person in charge on organizing them. I choose North Fork because I have always had a good experience with them, but again, never had to deal with anyone directly. I had a few friends from Florida wanting to come an have the whole "Long Island Vineyard experience" and had the pleasure of organizing our tour with Amanda. She was so kind, professional and helped us every step of the way. We had a hurricane hit us the day before heading up to New York and had a few bumps in the road with our reservation. Amanda and Michael did everything in their power to help us and make sure we had the best experience. Tom was our driver who also just made the experience that much better. This was our second time using NFWT (the first was fantastic, which is why we went back). Unfortunately, I would not use them again. We were not picked up at our agreed location by our driver but a 10 min walk down the road. At our 3rd winery, I received a call that our bus had mechanical issues and that we would be taking a new bus. All of our belongings were loaded on for us, however, the new bus did not have enough seats for our group of 15! We were squished in for an hour long drive to our drop-off point. While I understand that sometimes things happen, nothing was done to try to remedy the situation. I emailed and called multiple times for weeks and got zero response. Had an amazing time touring the north fork vineyards (be careful not to say Hamptons if you're in the far north of Long Island near greenport). North Fork Wine Tours was very responsive both over email and phone. When I called, the concierge advised me on the highlights of each vineyard and helped me to decide which ones to visit based on their varied activities, music, or outdoor seating. I ultimately decided on Pindar which has a gorgeous sunflower field amazing for photos, osprey dominion for their quality wines and friendly, knowledgeable staff that took the time to talk with us, and puliese which was great for outdoor seating for lunch and games. Each vineyard was unique in their own way. Our tour was $145 per person for 7 people in a stretch black limo, included tastings at each vineyard, taxes, and transportation from our accommodation to each vineyard spanning from 11am-5:30pm. We played our own music in the limo by connecting our phone to the speaker system. We brought two bottles of wine in our limo where we stored it in ice buckets along the wall of the limo (company provided ice and bottled water) plus we brought some snacks, even though the wine tour included lunch (I had the steak sandwich which was very good with water, small side salad, and a side bag of chips). We spent about 1.5hours at each vineyard which gave us ample time to take photos for my friends bachelorette party. We ended the trip right on time with about 5 minutes to spare. Our driver was very kind and allowed us another circle around the greenport downtown area in the limo while we sang to our favorite tunes. It was a great way to end a celebratory day at the vineyards for our bachelorette. We tipped our driver about 15% of our total bill. This company has a great price on stretch limos, compared to other wine tours that may use a van. read more
