Serenity at it's finest! Whether you choose the romantic sunset sail with just the two of you or a day trip with a group of friends...you will NOT be disappointed!! Watching the sunset on the Layla was absolutely breathtaking. We will never forget this experience.

My wife and I had a wonderful sunset sail on the Layla. Captain Liz and and first mate Rachel took great care of us. There was plenty of space on the Layla for us to socially distance appropriately, with my wife and myself staying primarily in the super comfortable bean bag chairs on the bow and Liz and Rachel staying primarily in the cockpit area, while still being very attentive to us. We brought wine and cheese with us to enjoy, which Rachel served to us on a beautiful platter. It was exactly the relaxing experience that we needed. We would absolutely sail again on the Layla next time we're out in Greenport!!

My friends and I booked a 1/2 day sail after the recommendation of a colleague. I must say Layla Sailing did not disappoint. Liz and Natalie were professional, friendly, and very attentive. They went out of their way to make us and our seasick friend as comfortable as could be. Our only regret was we didn't discover them sooner, we will definitely be seeing them again next season.

We booked a sunset sail to celebrate my birthday in June and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The boat was beautiful and clean the team was amazing and so welcoming. The view was breathtaking. It was a little chillier than we expected for late June, but we were having such a great time, we barely noticed. We will definitely book again and again!

Our second time aboard Layla and it was just as wonderful as we remembered. Captain Liz and Rachel are friendly, knowledgeable and excellent sailors, making for smooth sailing and great times for everyone aboard. If you're looking for a fun, relaxing adventure, look no further. Great for all ages (we aged from 2 - 38, but previously had grandma's and grandpa's aboard) and a "must" here on the north fork.

Had an amazing 50th birthday celebration. Liz and Rachel made my day so special. They are so professional and I highly recommend sailing with them on their amazing boat. I look forward to booking more trips with them.

Libby loves the Layla! And Captain Liz & Captain Rachel!

Layla Sailing is a must do activity while on the North Fork! Captain Liz & Captain Rachel are the best! Skilled, fun & great hosts! And the love pups! Mine are never happier than sailing on the Layla- you will not be disappointed!

I'm not sure I could have asked for a better impromptu outing. I've been coming to the North Fork…read morefor 11 years, and this was some of the most fun I've had. Feeling that I'd pickled my guests with too many wine tastings, I googled "Peconic Bay boat ride." At $180 for 4 people, this private cruise didn't disappoint. David, our captain, was funny, knowledgeable, and clearly in love with the bay. The solar powered boat was a nice, easy ride, and all the talk of oysters made me hungry. I recommend this to families and adult groups alike. And if you're from Brooklyn like us, make sure to tell him for some extra fun stories, no charge.

Charter Boat / Tours…read more Having the day off, a few of us tripped across this small tour operator in Greenport Harbor. The boat is named Glory and is a reproduction launch from days gone by. The claim to fame is that the whole thing runs on batteries and thus, is green and clean. The boat owner and operator (Andrew) was a real hoot- he took great pride in all that is Greenport, the boat, the harbor and the environment - we had a great time out there with him as we motored around Shelter Island and the bay in general. The cost is extremely reasonable - $15 for adults and if you are nice, you'll get a lollipop. The boat leaves from the rear of Prestons Marine supply. The trip is about 45 minutes and a great way to see some nature - Osprey's in particular but plenty of other birds... Parking around town.

This was a very interesting and relaxing two hour cruise…read more I surprised my wife with a sunset cruise hosted by Bedell Winery. The cruise had 3 offerings of their specialty wines, a nice red, white and sparkling wine along with all you can each shrimp and freshly shucked oysters. If you couldn't consume shellfish, they offered a charcuterie box from Mamma Lombardis. Pretty nice offerings Bedell! Parking was easy peasy, the train station lot had plenty of available parking. Once we boarded, we each grabbed a wine glass and headed to the upper deck. My wife, looking so elegant in her summer dress, it was just a perfect night for a romantic cruise on Long Island. You don't have to call me late for dinner, I saw the crew carrying the oyster aft (that's the back of the boat for you non sailing Yelpers) I grabbed a plate and loaded up with a nice amount of shrimp with cocktail sauce as well as oysters. Ever try sail while trying to keep cocktail sauce off my white silk Tommy Bahama shirt? I did it because I have mad skill. I noticed the couple next to me, I made small talk with the guy. This woman, she must of eaten 2 dozen oysters! And I dig that! Enjoy yourself, don't hold back. I had about 6 oysters, a good amount of shrimp and a quite a few glasses of Bedell wines. The captain of the boat did something very cool. He brought the ship very close to lighthouse for a perfect picture spot. Could this night get any better? Here's where and I hope Bedell reads this review. You have the perfect opportunity to talk to all the guests and sell your winery! There should of been bottles of the wine we tasted for sale as well as baskets filled with wines & cheeses, raffles to come back to the vineyard for a tasting, shirts, glasses, Bedell things for sale. It sounds like you need me to take over this area of responsibility. ABC, always be closing. Wine is for closers! The guy pouring the wine was swamped with everyone at once saying: Gimme! A back up sales person, a closer would have sealed the deal. Other than that, if you see The Peconic Star offering sunset cruises, it's something I highly recommend.
