Completely made my 2nd wedding anniversary perfect! Captain Liz and Brigitte were not only incredibly professional, they made the experience very special for us with their service. I've been sailing on several other private charters before, mostly in Miami, but this was surprisingly more relaxed. If you're looking to relax, do something that is off-the-beaten path, I highly recommend #sailing on Layla in #Greenport. read more

Layla Sailing - Sailing off Shelter Island on Layla with Captain Liz - Boat Tours Near Me - Greenport, New York

I don't think there is any review that could possibly do Layla Sailing the justice the trip deserves! There is something so magical about this boat and it's Liz! As soon as you meet her there is a joy and a love for the water that you will feel in your soul! I'm tragically afraid of the water but every time I step onto Layla the Old Man and the Sea inside me takes over. I swim every time! Every detail is taken care of and all of your needs are anticipated. It is truly a magical experience and if there is an available slot I suggest you book it now! Do not hesitate you will not regret it! Liz - thank you so much for making the day so special! read more

This was our second sail with Layla sailing. As usual, it was a very smooth sail and Captain Liz navigated through the Peconic Bay and waters surrounding Shelter Island exceptionally. Although the water was mostly calm, she did have to warn us about an upcoming wave, which we were very grateful that she did. Captain Liz asked if we wanted her to set anchor in calm waters so we could swim, but we were having such a fun time on the boat we decided to stay on the boat the whole time. The service of food and beverages we brought on board was phenomenal and we had an absolutely wonderful day, just as we did two years ago! I highly recommend this trip!! Thank you Liz and Natalie for a wonderful outing!! read more

My wife and I had a wonderful sunset sail on the Layla. Captain Liz and and first mate Rachel took great care of us. There was plenty of space on the Layla for us to socially distance appropriately, with my wife and myself staying primarily in the super comfortable bean bag chairs on the bow and Liz and Rachel staying primarily in the cockpit area, while still being very attentive to us. We brought wine and cheese with us to enjoy, which Rachel served to us on a beautiful platter. It was exactly the relaxing experience that we needed. We would absolutely sail again on the Layla next time we're out in Greenport!! read more

My friends and I booked a 1/2 day sail after the recommendation of a colleague. I must say Layla Sailing did not disappoint. Liz and Natalie were professional, friendly, and very attentive. They went out of their way to make us and our seasick friend as comfortable as could be. Our only regret was we didn't discover them sooner, we will definitely be seeing them again next season. read more

This is a MUST-DO on your trip out to Greenport Seriously, look no further. I've done this twice and have recommended other friends / family and everyone raves about it. Liz + Rachel made you feel as if you were a guest in their house. The boat was METICULOUSLY clean and the views were beautiful. We bought cheese and wine on the boat and they arranged it all for us and put everything on plates. They book up fast so I would suggest you pick your day sooner rather than later! read more

Our second time aboard Layla and it was just as wonderful as we remembered. Captain Liz and Rachel are friendly, knowledgeable and excellent sailors, making for smooth sailing and great times for everyone aboard. If you're looking for a fun, relaxing adventure, look no further. Great for all ages (we aged from 2 - 38, but previously had grandma's and grandpa's aboard) and a "must" here on the north fork. read more

We booked a sunset sail to celebrate my birthday in June and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The boat was beautiful and clean the team was amazing and so welcoming. The view was breathtaking. It was a little chillier than we expected for late June, but we were having such a great time, we barely noticed. We will definitely book again and again! read more

Everything was perfection. From the sunset view to the cup holders for your drinks to the bluetooth speaker for some yacht rock tunes. But the best part of Layla Sailing were our incredible hosts who guided us with confidence and good vibes around the bay. read more

We've been out with Captain Liz a couple times now and every time has been magical. She and the crew are absolutely wonderful. So warm, welcoming and informative! Recently was invited to sail with my family. It was absolutely a beautiful experience. Liz, the Captain, and her crew made sailing easy and wonderful. We spent four hours inhaling the beautiful views of the bays waters. Totally relaxing and enchanting. Highly recommend! read more

We went on an afternoon sail for my husband's birthday and had the best time!! The boat is excellent, the staff is amazing, and even my 5yr old daughter asked "when can we do this again???" as we were walking off the boat (thought she'd maybe get bored?! but no!). This was despite a rain shower in the middle...! Literally the best boat experience we have had in the north fork, recommend it without hesitation. AND-- love that it's female owned and operated. read more

This was one of the most amazing experiences! The boat is gorgeous and Captain Liz and her first mate were fantastic! We were celebrating my daughter's 5th birthday and they really did an awesome job with making her feel special and even let her raise the sail. They really thought of every single details. I would highly recommend this trip and will definitely be back! read more

We had a planned vacation to visit our daughter and her partner Jeff. About a month out we get a cryptic text message about marriage, eloping etc. After a bit of discussion, we were in full blown wedding preparation from 3000 miles away. Between Jean and Kegan, the idea of a wedding on a sailboat made it to the top of the list. We reached out to Liz to see what we could do. Since this was very early in the season, really early, we were worried, but Liz came through with flying colors and we had a plan. We started working out the details for a half day wedding sail and it could not have been simpler thanks to Liz and her commitment to make everything perfect. She had great suggestions about food and drink. In the end we went with a couple champaigns plus some wine and an amazing cheese platter from Kate's Cheese, a local company. On the day of the wedding, we arrived just a bit early to work on wedding pictures. We waved at Liz and Rachael who were making final preparations for the sail. When they were ready, Rachael came to greet us and transported all our gear to the boat where captain Liz welcomed us aboard. This is when all the magic happened. For the next few hours, we were treated to a great wedding and sail on a beautiful, immaculately maintained sailboat. Captain Liz performed the ceremony flawlessly and Kegan and Jeff were married. Then we drank, feasted, and sailed on a beautiful sunny day. Liz and Rachael are ultimate "people" people and exceptionally skilled in their sailing craft. When you're on the North Fork it would be well worth your time to take a sail with Captain Liz on Layla Sailing. Truly a Five Star performance! read more

Best day on our mini-moon yet!! Liz and Rachel were so sweet yet professional as we rented the boat for ourselves for 4 hours. The boat is gorgeous and they have really comfy bean bag chairs that make it so easy to sit in the front of the boat and be comfortable for hours. They served us our meat and cheese plate and sandwiches from the local cheese shop we brought on board (Kate's). And poured the rose whenever needed - we felt like royalty! Also very clean and covid safe! A must do when you are in greenport! read more

We took our second sunset sail with the Layla team earlier this summer, and it was a wonderful experience for three couples. Captain Liz and her team are wonderful hosts and provide all of the ingredients for a great evening on the water - super comfortable beanbag lounge chairs, cooler to keep beverages cold, YETI cups, Bluetooth, etc. They were extremely helpful in pointing out local sites and providing history when we had questions, but also provided plenty of space for quiet relaxation and catching up. Will definitely be back! read more

An AMAZING sunset sail to celebrate a birthday! My friends and I had a wonderful time. The sunset sail was perfect. There were 6 of us. Super intimate. The crew were extremely attentive. Super helpful in preparing snacks that we had with us, and asking if we needed anything at any given moment. 1000000000/10 RECOMMEND! read more

Everything about our afternoon sail with Liz & Rachel at Layla was beyond expectations. To start, it was originally supposed to rain but ended up being 80 degrees and sunny! But that's not the only surprise. Liz and Rachel are thoughtful in ways that your typical boat charter is not. There were flowers in the bathroom. They placed all our snacks out on a gorgeous tray. They served our wine for us. They made feel like we didn't need to lift a finger so we could just enjoy the sail. So many other boat charters are great--but leave your food and snacks up to you. They don't come with this level of service. Layla Sailing felt like such a vacation. We can't wait to book again. read more

My husband and I celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary with Layla Sailing. We had such an amazing experience that we hope it make it our annual wedding anniversary tradition!!! Liz and Natalie were so attentive and made our experience so much more enjoyable. We took our afternoon sail with just the two of us and were able to swim and enjoy the lovely sail around the bay. We brought local wine and cheese for the ride. We had so much fun I couldn't imagine it being any better. We went on a sunset sail with Layla Sailing with Liz as captain and it was INCREDIBLE. She was really easy-going and reliable with the coordination and directions of where to meet.
