We flew into ISP airport for a long weekend, and were not looking forward to worrying about how to get from the airport to our friends in Cutchogue. Luckily our friends knew all about NOFO Designated Driver. So rather than all the nagging little things that can go wrong when you call a Lyft or Uber, we had a peaceful ride with Mike. He checked in the day before to confirm our flight, made sure we were on time the day of our flight, and pulled up outside ISP right on time. His car was clean with no cloying air freshener scent, he had cold water waiting for us, and he made sure the AC was set the way we wanted it. And then he pulled off on a route he clearly knew well, driving with quiet confidence. Once he knew we'd been out to Cutchogue many times, we shared favorite restaurants, and talked about all the many things that make the NOFO special. By the time we arrived at our friends, I'd forgotten we had to get up at 4:30 am to catch the first of our two flights. Our long weekend started as soon as we got in Mike's car. NFDD is the way to go when visiting Long Island vineyards. My husband and our two good friends visited Long Island this past Saturday - 4/14 - and had THE BEST time!! I had the pleasure of utilizing the North Fork Designated Driver service yesterday for our Sunday wine adventure out on the North Fork. Having limited knowledge and experience of North Fork wineries, Michael, the owner of the company, was able to provide many suggestions based on myself and my boyfriend's likes and dislikes prior to booking. Kevin, our driver, arrived promptly to drive us around at 10:30 am. We had a fun filled day that Kevin was able to tailor and make it even more memorable and personable! it was exactly what we wanted. When Kevin heard I love Rose, he immediately knew to take us to a beautiful rose vineyard, Croteaux. When we asked for recommendations for casual/quick lunch, he immediately sent us to to the north fork inn food truck for the best chicken and bahn mi sandwich that I am still thinking about today. With this service, you have the luxury of your own vehicle and availability of all the wineries. I was able to use my car phone charger, play my music and radio stations and feel comfortable within my own vehicle. The day before, we took a limo with some cousins, and while it was fun, we were limited to where we can go with a limo and we were on THEIR time. With North Fork Designated Drivers, we can take our time and spend as long or as little as we want at any winery we choose! We spent over 7 hours with Kevin and didn't want it to end (but had to before I passed out from all the wine :) ) I cannot wait to book again, hopefully in the next month of so!
