Fantastic service from the manager of this Willimantic Staples. Had purchased Emerge Vortex chair for my husband as a Christmas present. I paid to have it assembled and when I got it home found that the seat was on backwards. Needless to say, I was very upset. I contacted the store manager and cannot say enough about the excellent service she provided. She was very apologetic and refunded the price of the chair and I had my son reassemble the chair correctly so that I did not have to bring it back to the store. read more

After a miserable experience at another Staples I stopped into this one. I was informed after my review of another Staples that they will price match, so I stopped into this one for that reason and to get something with a courtesy coupon I was given. Price match went fine although the associate was clearly not happy to be there and was a bit dismissive. Then when I went to checkout and use the courtesy coupon, problems started. First the associate tells me that I couldn't use it on a sale item. When I asked her where it said that (the answer was that it doesn't say that) she called the manager. The Assistant Manager came over and again said it wasn't able to be used on sale items and singled out a line about "cannot be combined with other coupons" but recognized this wasn't the case. He said he took $10 off as a courtesy. I said that it should have been the whole total because it was a $20 coupon and my total was $21. He finally realized it was because it was under $20 before tax. Finally finished the transaction and decided I won't be back. Overall I feel like items are overpriced and associates aren't helpful or nice about it. read more

Gets the job done, but have had some issues in the past. I mostly use this location for sending packages using the mail station within the facility. The ups drop off mini location does not handle the same complexity of tasks that a normal ups location would. Many customers in line and myself were directed towards another full service ups location in Storrs. Just be aware you might need to go to Storrs if you need to send out something like a dish tv box. read more

I needed a few things so I. Stopped at this Staples... I walked in an was literally assaulted with helpers trying to assist me in finding my items. The manager greeted me and passed me to a super friendly helpful associate.. Never had great service like this at any Staples.... I'm coming back ! read more

Employees are awful here. I had one employee yelling for the manager for 5 minutes before she came out with a bad attitude. I just walked out after the cashier was rude the whole time checking out. The employees stay in the corner and talk instead of helping customers. Seems like a bunch of children running this place. read more

I frequent the North Windham/ Mansfield store. They have given me stellar customer service In a variety of situations including outfitting my home office and purchasing office equipment for a non- profit I work for. They are always helpful when I have a question about what I want to buy or what I have already purchased. I've called with requests before and they always tell me "we'll have it ready when you come in". They have saved me time and money and I will continue to support them. read more

I have been a customer here since it opened about 25 years ago. The number and variety of items I've purchased have been huge. I also ship packages via UPS through Staples. I brought in a large box to be returned to a vendor the other day. One flap needed an 8" strip of tape to seal it. A store employee said I could buy a roll of packing tape to seal it. Since I had recently bought tape, I declined and asked if she could just tape it. She told me she would have to charge me a "packing fee." I drove home (15 min.) and returned with the taped package. Apparently, this is a relatively new corporate policy. I spoke to the store manager to explain my dissatisfaction. He listened politely but was unmoved. Now I am done with Staples. For an 8" strip of tape, Staples has literally lost thousands of dollars. Nice job, Staple. read more

The woman on the front desk is horrible! I asked her a simple question as I was checking out and she just said I don't know have a good day.....very dismissive. She needs to lose the studded collar and cover some of the sleeve tats and be nice. read more

that was easy. two addresses come up for this store on yelp. anyways, i dont know which one it is - store was clean and well stocked. staff was helpful in finding what i was looking for (sadly stainless steel sharpies were not in stock). strip mall it is in has a bright green ice cream shop, a pet store and a funky craft store. good place to get staples. read more

Be careful: rude customer service, high pressure sales pitch for extended warranty. Avoid at all cost. I usually go to the staples at Vernon. They are very professional, polite and efficient. But the computer I wanted to buy was out of stock. So I ordered online and went to pick up at this Storrs Road store. What a big mistake. There was no one at the pick up desk but we could hear somebody chatting in the backroom. I waited there for five minutes with nothing and tried to look around for someone to help. I found a sales person trying to sell printers to an elderly man. She told me just gave her a minute. That is alright. We went back to the online order pick up desk. I am waiting there and she is pressing the elderly man to buy some extended warranty. Another five minutes I am still waiting, now with a couple behind me. Somebody came out from the chatting room and greeted the lady behind me and ask what's her last name. The lady politely pointed out I am the first one in line. This staple guy said he simply wanted to know what she ordered and ignored my existence. Sound like he already knew what I am picking up. What a shame. He got no apology for that at all. I am stunned by such unprofessional and rude behavior. I will never buy anything from this store anymore. read more

The store is in fact well stocked but the printing service was horrible. The staff servicing the printing desk was unhelpful and downright rude. I had around 20 documents to print out, some of them in color while others in B&W. I put all the documents in a flash drive and took it for printing. The lady stated that I had to memorize the names of all the documents and the ones I wanted in color. She refused to let us go around the desk or take a look at the computer. We felt as if we were criminals. She also stated that STAPLES does NOT print passport documents in COLOR. This was no where stated online and could have saved us time if we knew. In spite of being polite, the staff was rude and insulting. I am sorry but I am never going back to the store. read more

Awful. The people here are miserable. Ran out of toner for a doc I needed printed that night, so I called Staples at 8:30pm to see if I could print it off a thumb drive. The woman in the print center told me very rudely that she was utterly swamped and wouldn't be able to print it until tomorrow. Swamped? On a Monday night at 8:30pm in Mansfield, Connecticut? What a load of crap. She clearly didn't want to help anyone since the store was closing in 30 minutes. It was 5-page document. Wouldn't have taken 60 seconds to print. Anyway, won't be going to them again any time soon. I like to support local business, but you can bet I'll be ordering my office supplies at lower cost from Amazon from here on out. And if you ever need to print something out late at night (and the line at the Mansfield Staples is out the door since it's clearly such a popular place to be on a Monday night), then I discovered that the public computers at Eastern are open until midnight, available to anyone and they charge way less for per page than Staples. read more
