Today is Labor Day. Last minute parents and students buying school supplies had the store full to the brim. The store was pretty organized given the rush that it was experiencing throughout the day. The staff was very helpful and polite. One worker was even distributing free water to the people on the long lines. That was kind. Yay. Now that my review of the store is over, I'd like to review some of the customers there. Shout out to the customer who left her basket in front of me on the floor, and asked me to keep moving it for her while she continued to walk around the store looking for items. Shout out to the customer who, while on line, asked the worker how much the box of Crayola Markers was. (How did she expect him to know that without a scanner?) Shout out to the mom who sent her kid to my line because she wanted an alternative in case her line stalled. Shout out to the mom who asked me to push her basket, and then while being scanned was grilling her daughter if she really needed those pencils/markers/colored pencils. I left Best Buy today because they were completely sold out of digital voice recorders. I recall staples having them so I called on my way to them to see if they had them in. After going through the automated system, I was on hold for over 5 minutes and no one ever did pick up the phone. I arrived, asked someone, and apparently they stopped carrying the items I was looking for in the store even though they have them online. Awful customer service with UPS and copies. Waited there almost 10 minutes for UPS drop off behind one lady and after both lines grew told there is only only one line. There were 2 employees behind counter but only one SLOWLY working. The other sat at a computer. I wish I could give them zero stars. This is. Came in here to find some boxes to ship a few items out via USPS. Store was very clean and everything was clearly marked. The staff was friendly when I was checking out. Definitely will be back again. read more

This company has an unbelievable protocol in terms printing services. I sent an email to them like 35 minutes with all the instruction like how many copies and color if it is B&W or colored then I was thinking of doing that so they can prepare and print the job ahead of time and avoid express charges on printing right away, just pay and pick-up, BUT it's not! They need to print it out and let them charge me the extra bucks for doing it express! That's crazy... they were saying that it should be sent like an hour to send the printing job email to avoid express charges. Very disappointed, I've been doing this and I'm fed up with their service! I wish there's Office Max around the corner as an alternative with this company!!! read more

I've been coming here for years. It used to be just for paper supplies but then I discovered they've got a great sales staff that's more tech advice than sales. Informative and not pushy. Their tech support is great. It's not the first place you think of but they know their stuff and their prices are fair. Friendly and helpful. read more

This Staples has a decent selection of office supplies for such a small store. Because of the size, it has very little in the way of chairs or furniture. The selection of laptops is also rather small and cramped. Staples is one of those places where it looks like policy to try to oversell hardware and software to people who don't really need it. Beware that they will try to load you up with extra software bundles. Most of the staff are friendly, but a couple of the cashiers have more than enough attitude to compensate. read more

My recent experience at this Staples printing center was phenomenal. We recently had a death in the family so it was a very emotional time. I had created the homegoing service program and unfortunately the original printer that volunteered to print it , did not do it correctly and completely changed the size of the program I created. I put alot of work into it and it was very dear to my heart so I was crushed when I received the final product. This was the day before the homegoing service was suppose to happen. My family and I frantically searched for another option and we came to this Staples. This would be a rush job of 300 programs and we knew chances were slim that we could make it happen but the print team at this location helped us out so very much. Frank,Mitch,Patrick and Alisha were outstanding. They helped us find the paper we needed and stayed there till closing and made sure all of our programs came out perfect. The customer service we received on such a personal project during such a rough time was over and beyond and we couldn't be more appreciative. read more

Worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. Asked 4 different people for help and nobody had an answer then I found the receipt printer papers was looking for on my own and tried to check out and the clerk walked away as I walked up and then I went to the next desk and the lady stared at me. To Whom It May I frequent the Staples at W.80 Sunrise Hwy, Valley Stream, NY and I am deeply concerned and frustrated about the deplorable level of customer service provided in this location.  Firstly, the line wait at the copy and printing area is always long with just one employee working with no sense of urgency. Secondly, such employee appears to be lacking in knowledge and experience. Thirdly the employees including the managers in this location tend to be rude which seems to be the culture. My most recent experience which prompted this email occurred on October 19, 2015 between 7.30pm to 9pm.  Eventhough I was third in line. I had to wait for approximately  an hour because there was one employee tied up for a while with a customer.  As I waited there patiently I could not help noticing other customers demonstrating their frustration about the poor level of customer service. This got the attention of the manager who finally sent another employee to assist. After being acknowledged I was put on the computer to construct the designs for the business cards I came to print. I stood there patiently until I completed the ideal card I wanted back and front. Upon completion I signaled to the representative that I was finished. He came over and while in the process of the order completion. The computer went blank while the other computers were working fine completing other customer transactions.He stated that the computer usually shuts off at 9 when the store was close. With no remorse he explained there is nothing that he could do. Having been in the store for almost two hours most of which was spent waiting, I was furious. I asked for the manager who came out and sarcastically attempted to apologize and told me there is nothing he can do I have to come back another day. This manager came across very rude after I persisted to explain my situation and he dismissed me entirely telling me to come back. I certainly hope this is not a representation of Staple's culture because this is unacceptable. I am deeply preturbed as this is just one of the terrible experiences I have had at this location. I and my fiancée went to the Valley Stream Staples which I won't recommend anyone to go too. The service there was horrible. We needed invitations done for a celebration that we were hosting. The guy (Kyle) that printed our invitations looked like he was fighting zombies and he kept flirting, playing around, and eating pretzels with his co-friend sitting behind the computer. Very unprofessional as well as unkempt. Black and Brown dreads and a very rumpled staples shirt as if he had just tumbled in a field full of weeds. He was in a serious zone when asked questions about printing paper and he looked as if he didn't want to be there. Honestly the loc in Valley Stream needs to be tore down and the space needs to be reused for a multi-plaza. Ever time I come it's always a different story. At the Jericho store loc. the lady that I and my fiancée saw was Rachel. She was very kind to us and attentive. She redid an invitation order that Valley Stream made a huge mistake on. I'll give her 5 Stars. The only downfall was the invitations that Rachel did was missing the background detailing (embroidered image) which made the invitations cards look nice and they didn't have a sharp / good quality cutter for us to cut our invitations so we had to drive back over to the Valley Stream staples to use their cutter. We decided to call the store before going back to Valley Stream to stalk to a manger and see what could be done but no one was picking up the phone. Yesterday, we went to this Staples location with funeral programs for my beloved Grandfather. We had to drop them off and get them processed quickly. The associate at the copy and print center, Felicia, could not have been nicer; not only did she print our programs and make them look absolutely beautiful, but she also took the time to laminate the front cover for us so that we would be able to preserve it. Felicia is generous with her time, compassionate, and incredibly knowledgeable about her work. Thank you, Felicia, for making our day a little brighter! read more

Professional and friendly staff. As busy and overwhelming as it was when I went to the copy center, the staff was patient, friendly and very helpful. I usually hate waiting and long lines, but my visit to the Staples copy center was extremely pleasant and well worth the wait! read more

A pretty good Staples, but it gets very crowded at times. You might not want to go if you're in a hurry.

Clean place but rude staff very few associates want to help . The young male assistant manager is always flirting with young girls . It used to have a better service. read more

Don't go to this Staples unless you have something simple to purchase and go. Terrible management, no customer service and if you call with a problem expect to be on hold for at least twenty minutes. I'm not kidding! Never leave a computer there to be repaired. If you do you can just kiss it goodbye. read more

I have been going to the Staple store for a number of years out of convenience, but now I would not rather go at all. I give it one star because i must admit one of the sales reps was pretty helpful, but overall the service is awful and there is a manager there- named Frank I believe, very unfriendly and even condescending to customers. Recently I went to make purchases and use the fax machine, I needed help, but instead left the store to avoid further dismay. This store is in stark contrast to the Staples near my office in Queens Boulevard, Woodside. The managers greet customers as one walks in, they engage in small conversation and readily available to help with an item. I will wait to go to the Queens Boulevard Staples to make my purchases moving forward. read more

I decided to return the overpriced scanner from Staples. I found it cheaper on Amazon.com. Never again. Lesson learned. I'm still waiting for my credit card to reflect the returned purchase. It looked like the assistant manager did not know how to do a basic same day return. read more

Staff at this location are very helpful with the computers. The copy center needs more help. The line for copies gets way too long and messed up my lunch hour. The managers are very willing to take back bad merchandise and replace it. Always great at getting you onto their catalog sales if the store runs out of an item. Computers are sparse. I recommend this staples. read more
