Be Careful With This Place! I brought my computer in because it wasn't turning on, and at first the owner seemed helpful. He told me it was a "simple power issue" and said it would cost around $50 to fix. A few hours later, he called me back and suddenly claimed there were multiple problems--now the motherboard "looked suspicious," and he said he might need to order special parts. I asked for proof or photos, but he just talked in circles, using a bunch of technical words to confuse me. It felt like he was making up issues just to raise the price. He said, "I already opened it up, so I have to charge you either way," and then mentioned a new fee--conveniently just under $100. I ended up paying more than double what he originally quoted, and my computer still wasn't fully working when I picked it up. It honestly felt like a scam. I saw another customer arguing with him while I was there, saying something similar. Avoid this place if you don't want to be tricked into paying for "repairs" you didn't ask for. I have to give a very honest review here. They did a great job repairing water damage on my MacBook Pro. Unbelievably good. They quoted me $150. I appeared with a Yelp voucher and told them I had a Yelp voucher and suddenly, the price was up to 163.31. Basically, they ensured that regardless, they would get damn near $150 for the repair even if it didn't match the initial quote. They are experts and I would have paid an arm and a leg more if I had gone to the Apple store, so I am grateful for it. But that was dishonest, and it doesn't merit 4 or 5 stars given how dishonest it was. When I appeared with the Yelp voucher, he looked frantically through his computer and insisted he didn't have a Yelp deal going on. He did; I had just bought it that same day. As of the time of this posting, there is still a Yelp deal. But be not fooled - they will likely charge you up to what the original quote is so that they can end up winning in the end. He eventually saw the deal and that's when I was quoted a new price of 163.31. A load of bologna, if you ask me. The first time I got my computer back, there was no WiFi on the computer. When the computer was at home, when it was on, it did have WiFi. I brought it in right away because I was afraid of what the water damage would do, and then when they called to give it back, I appeared. We tested the wifi in store and all seemed fine. When I got home, I had no WiFi. How did this happen? I will never know. Supposedly, my WiFi antenna stopped working so they ended up charging me for another repair - and made it look like it was a deal because they were only charging me "$50" when it "usually costs $100." I do not feel good saying that people are dishonest business people or are fraudulently trying to make more money than they deserve, but I have to be honest. This is what they're doing here. They are expert repair people, and I know because I know a lot of people in hardware and software development - and these guys totally know what they're doing. But they aren't doing it honestly. If you're in a pinch, sure, go to them - but keep tabs on the entire process because if you don't, you'll end up about $200 poorer, like I did. read more

I highly highly recommend PC Mobile Fix. Though I had a screen protector on my phone, my screen cracked (Iphone 7). I don't have insurance on the phone. I was in search of a place to fix for a reasonable price and quick! I had such a bad experience at a local shop in the past, that I did some research. Though PC Mobile is in Rego Park, Queens, it is close to western Nassau County Long Island. I went on a Sunday morning and in an hour I had my screen fix AND under $100! They even put a new protector on the my screen. There is a 2 week warranty, so I'm hoping no issues thereafter. I actually believe I won't have issues. They were cordial and kept me apprised of the progress. I do recommend to either message them (even here on Yelp) or call to confirm when the tech is available. Again, highly recommend. I went here last May 2019 to get my Iphone 7 battery replaced. It is the cheapest around Rego Park so I went here. The first battery they installed was not new; the battery cycle or battery count was not 0 and losing charge right away. So I contacted them and they replaced it. After 4 days, they replaced it with a brand new battery with 0 charge cycle. Now, October 2019, my battery is overheating and slows down the phone a lot to the point you cannot face time and even text while calling. I brought it to Apple in Queens center mall and they told me that the battery they installed is of poor quality and causes the overheating which in turn slows the whole phone. I dont usually write reviews like this but it is just unfortunate that the phone that I spent so much money is beyond unusable. read more

The experience of dealing with this service is very negative. One day I stopped by to inquire about the service and the price. When I came back two days later the technician quoted a different price. It was not a deal breaker, so I agreed. Then they asked for the money upfront, or to keep the phone. I opted to pay first and and keep the phone. When I came back, with the phone the phone was still locked. The technician claimed that I need to pay additional money to fully unlock the phone. I consulted my friend who is also a technician and he told me that they simply made a mistake and now it would cost them more to fix it. They would not return the money and they demand an additional payment. The Technician I dealt with is very eloquent and persuasive seems like he talks reason, but it is only a half truth. A few months ago, I spilled coffee all over my brand new MacBook Air 13 inch at work during a meeting. Needless to say, I was extremely pissed. I had initially made an appointment with the Genius Bar at an Apple Store, but by chance, I just was not able to make it. I was convinced by my little brother to just take it to a place that repairs cell phones. At first, I was a little skeptical. Nonetheless, the two options that I thought I had at the time was to either just buy a new laptop, or take it to the Apple store and have them shank me $700 or so. I brought it in to this place, which is really close to where I live, they provided me with an initial estimate (after opening the MacBook then and there to show me the inside) of about $80 to clear out the components and clean everything. I left the laptop there, expecting them to call me to tell me that everything was damaged. They did call me to let me know that the trackpad was totally shot, so I needed to order another one. In total, the repair was $175, to fix the water damage (coffee damage actually) and buy and install the new trackpad. I just got the laptop back today, and I am totally blown away. I had no idea that even after spilling coffee all over a laptop, that in the right hands, it can be fixed! I highly recommend this place. Do not bother going anywhere else first, and don't go to the Apple Store. Come to these guys first. You won't be disappointed. read more

I found this place online as I was looking for a place in the Rego Park area to repair a Samsung J3 screen. This is a new phone model and they did not have the screen in stock. They told me one price one day, and the next day when I went back- the price increased by $10. I had them order the phone screen and they said it would take 2 days to arrive. 4 days later I was still waiting for a call from them about the screen replacement. One the 5th day, the phone was repaired and they said it had a 14 day warranty. Later in the evening, I noticed there was an issue with the phone towards the bottom of the screen. I took the phone back one week later and they said "must be something with the program. We don't fix phone programming. You need to back up the phone and reset. We can't help you." A week and a half later, the glue used to repair the phone screen is coming loose and the phone is not working. I took the phone back as I was within the warranty period. They were very rude and refused to fix the phone. They wanted a receipt, said there was nothing they could do as the phone was broken under the screen. They did not mention this to me when the phone was repaired- that there might have been a larger issue. They took my money, did a cosmetic repair which was not done well, and refused to honor their warranty. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. read more
