My daughter dropped my iPad mini and cracked the screen. I brought it in to have the screen replaced. I was wary because this seemed like a new place and I didn't want to get ripped off. That's why I didn't write a review right away. I was worried the screen wouldn't work or that a problem would develop. But after several months my iPad is as good as new. I explained my situation and he gave me choices and prices. I decided to take his advice and in 24 hrs or less, I received a call to pick up my cell. I'd visited two month ago to request a battery repair for my iPad. Roughly a week later I picked up my allegedly repaired iPad. Unfortunately, said repair did not function as it should. The new battery's performance was sub par to that of prior to the drop off. I'd returned and informed them of this, whereupon they'd taken it back and assured me they'd handle the issue. A week later, I reclaimed the iPad... and there were now black "splotches" on the screen, and problems with the backlight. I brought it back again immediately the following day, and once more they took the iPad to fix. Despite the repeated assurances that I wouldn't be charged for the blatantly sub par repairs, I still had to give an amount of pay, (the minimum, I was informed- approximately $75). They did not contact me to let me now the status of the repairs each time I brought the iPad back. Upon receiving the iPad for the second time, within two minutes I was able to see the half the screen wasn't light up properly, clearly showing that there was no quality and control, that nobody had looked or tested the iPad before giving it back to me. Even though my iPad has was allegedly repaired, certain glitches regarding touch screen sensitivity and responsiveness still occur, and therefore, I will avoid returning to them for services in the future. I, in short, am not impressed with the services rendered, lack of communication, lack of quality and control, and incomplete responsibility to their own mistakes in customer service. Should anybody else decide to use their services, make sure to get an exact definition of what is to be expected, personally check the devices before departure, check the return policy and have everything document in writing to avoid making the same mistake. Called a few screen repair guys in the area on a Sunday as I dropped my phone one too many times the day before and the screen shattered looking like spider webs. Most shops didn't even pick up, but Ash from Mr. Fixsmith was super friendly and confirmed he had the iphone SE screen in stock before I stopped by. He quoted me $65 and around a twenty-minute turnaround. Couldn't be happier with his quality of work, quickness and rate! I brought my 2-year-old iPhone here to replace a moderately cracked screen. The phone was working fine other than the screen. They fixed the screen for a reasonable price and I went on my way. Two days later the phone completely died - literally would not turn on. I brought it back to the shop and they maintained that this had nothing to do with the screen repair they had done. The owner - Steve - was quite adamant on this and refused to even look at the phone. Another nicer guy worked on it for a while, then said in a much friendlier way that there was nothing they could do, the phone was dead. I find it hard to believe that it was a coincidence that my phone just happened to die two days after they worked on it. So use this shop at your own risk - based on my experience and that of other reviewers, it looks like they have a tendency to break devices when they repair them. read more

After a simple battery change for the iPhone the screen started flickering. Tech couldn't figure out what happened and I had to pay for a new screen in addition to battery change. Replaced battery is also damaged as now the phone gets extremely hot. Don't waste your money - there are much better and more professional services out there. read more

Uggg - I don't know. Paid to get my port fixed so my phone could charge. $65. Fine. Bought a case box from there same day (never had one before but wifey recommended it). Next day phone screen is cracked and can't see anything $410 to repair same place for front screen and back. 2 days later (with phone case on) buddy knocks the phone off the table, lands face up and window is smashed again. Went back - $350 again for repair. Probably legit guys but jeez, I'm not sure. Never had that kind of trouble before. read more

The screen that they replaced on my iPhone 7 is horrible. It makes me want my cracked screen back. These Chinese 99c fake screens make you lose features like 3DTouch and also are low resolution. The entire color of the LCD is off and looks completely different from a real iPhone screen. The calibration is completely off you can tell that not only is the LCD cheap but the digitizer is too. Now I will be going to the Apple Store to get this one taken off and pay more money than I already have. I cannot work with the fake digitizer or even edit photos. Also there is so much glare on this screen it makes it impossible to use in the sunlight or anywhere - it's embarrassing that I've had my friends actually tell me that there's something wrong with my screen because they can't see what I'm trying to show them. Their quick turn around and great service is the only reason I am giving them more than 1 star. It's a great temporary fix if your screen is completely shot but not long term. read more

I had a charging port broken for repair in Mr.Fixsmith shop. It was working for hours without any other problems after breaking the charging port. The only problem was that we could not charge the PC. After waiting for a week for charging port to come to the shop, Mr.Fixsmith still could not fix it. Then they asked us to leave the PC to them for further fix. After another week or so, the shop told me it had mother board problem, and they could not fix it. In my belief, they burnt the chip in the mother board since they use their bare hands to insert replacement parts into computer. Now the computer is completely dead. I saw they did not have experiences in fixing computers when I walked in the shop, the very mistake I made was I did not leave the shop right away. I want to remind other people, don't let them fix your computer, it would be just wasting your money. read more

worst fucking place ever. i went in, and they said it would only take a max of 30 minutes to replace my screen. when they replaced it, the screen was unresponsive to touch, so i ended up having to come in the next day. i asked for my old screen to be put on, because the situation scared me, and i wanted to take my business elsewhere. the next day comes and they put the new screen on, and they wanted me to pay full price on it, no discount or anything for this horrible inconvenience. Update: got my phone checked by a RELIABLE source, and this is what they had to say. I am very clumsy, when it comes to phones. While I was in the area, I decided to go in and drop off my iPhone 7 to get fixed. Within 30 minutes my phone was as brand new! This place is fast, but the quality of the replacement screen is horrible. The color or lighting is completely different then the original screen. It's very dark and the colors have a blue/grey tint. They offered to redo it, but there was no change in quality, they either didn't redo it or all their screens are bad. Also, the place next door (mobile ER) charges $70 while this place charged me $90!! $90 for a bad quality screen. I prefer the broken screen, at least I could see the actual colors of apps and pictures. read more

This business is very sketchy. I dropped off a damaged laptop on Thursday and was told they would check it and call later. I didn't hear, so I called Saturday. They said they would call back but didn't. I called on Sunday, and they called back an hour later. The estimate was $390 to fix 3 issues ($300 for the primary problem). I went in and asked for a breakdown of the price (parts/labor), and they refused. I asked for my laptop back, and they wanted to haggle about the price. I took my laptop next door (down the alley) to Mobile ER, where they checked it immediately, told me the primary problem would cost $155, and said the other problems weren't real. I hoped that I would not have to write a negative review about this repair shop but sadly I must report my experience. I went in for what I thought was a simple repair/replacement of the port on my iPhone. It was done in a timely manner which I greatly appreciated. However by the time I got home, I had no data on my phone. I could not receive calls, texts or email. I went back to the shop and let the person who worked on my phone know and he suggested I take it to my carrier around the corner. I did just that and they could not find what was wrong. I was then forced to go to Apple which is what I was trying to avoid in the first place and had to get a new phone. I wasted time and money at this repair shop and they gave my phone back to me in worse shape than I gave it to them and took no responsibility. Unacceptable. Never again. Please know that when you come here to get your device repaired, you run the high risk of further damage.
