I lived there for over 23 years and the last 10 years more or less, I have been going to Mr Fixsmith. Mr fixsmith was my go to place to get anything IT related fixed. If I needed an IPhone to give to family members as gifts. The accessories there for both the IPhne and Android were great. They are the go to place there. I have two iphones, an IPhone 12 RED and an Iphone 12 Pro Max that did not want to turn on. I did have an IT place here in Florida look at it without opening it up. This my error. I called Mr Fixsmith in Forest Hills and talked to Mahmoud. I let him know of the situation and told him I'd be willing to send both phones to him via UPS so that he could look at it. The cost of the UPS was on me and that was ok. Mahmoud was great. The batteries in both devices needed to be replaced. He called me to let me know what was going on and an approximate date the devices would be fixed. He did set my expectstions which were spot on. Mahmoud is an A++ professional. I appreciated the communication. It's my experience, that kinda of communication does not happen much here in Florida. I had a trust relationship when I lived in Forest Hills and unfortunately, being here in Florida, it lessoned but not anymore. I needed a reminder of that relationship and Mahmoud showed that to me indirectly. I won;t be going anywhere except Mr Fixsmith to have my hardware fixed no matter what. Steve, you have top notch people working for you and I truely appreciate the service. BTW, the two iphones are working perfectly. I have two sisters here that are currently using them. Do not just take their word for it. I came here to get my screen fixed through T-Mobile insurance. The repair itself was fine, but the customer service afterward was an absolute joke. After the fix, they pushed me to buy a screen protector. I normally order mine from Amazon because in-store ones are usually cheap and poorly made. The only reason I agreed was because the employee assured me that if there were any issues at all, I could bring it back and they would replace it with no questions asked. The younger guy who installed it clearly did not care about doing a good job. He applied it lazily, and while it looked okay at first, within a week the protector started peeling from the bottom left corner. I went back fully expecting them to honor their own words and instead got told it would be 12 dollars to replace it. At no point during the original conversation was this replacement fee ever mentioned. The employee then pointed to some random sheet of paper nowhere near where we talked, trying to justify it. That is not how you do honest business. This is a classic bait and switch and it shows they have zero interest in standing by their word. I walked out without paying because I refuse to reward shady practices. If this is how they treat customers, I would not trust them with anything more than a basic repair. Bottom line: If you have a T-Mobile insurance claim, be extremely careful here. Record what they promise you, get it in writing, or better yet, take your business somewhere else

So I'm going to have to change my review here from a positive to a negative. I was shopping around…read moreto fix the screen on my iPhone 11 and I was quoted prices in the $300 range but this business offered to do it for $135. So I took the phone in and had the screen replaced and everything was good for about three weeks or so. After that the screen became on responsive and when that happened I immediately understood. These people will replace your screen and it will work for a small amount of time but ultimately it will stop working ,and when it does , I would imagine that they will not take accountability for it so I'm not even going to bring the device back to them. I would imagine that if I did bring the device back this would be the two possible scenarios: 1 - It's your fault because it's been three weeks 2 - We just don't know what the problem can be and there can be many reasons so we will hold your phone and try to figure it out but of course we won't figure it out and will not accept accountability. If you have an expensive device and you need a screen replacement you'll have to fork out the money to pay for the right equipment otherwise you shouldn't bother. If you have a high-end device don't take it here to be repaired because the repairs will not last long as they use subpar replacement parts that don't last very long. Go to Apple or a reputable third-party repair.

After dropping it off I got a phone call a few days later saying what needed to be done (confirming my suspicions) and I agreed to the terms. I was issued a reciept with my name, date, type of computer, etc. Then I never heard from them again. I found it odd that they never called me back to pick up my laptop. This happened the previous time I used them also. I always had to call them to see if my item was ready for me to pick it up. I can only guesstimate as to how long a fix will take. It could be two days or it could be two weeks. I don't know if they have to special order some part from Apple or whatever. Just wish they called me to tell me my item was fixed. Nevertheless their services are cheap, fast and reliable. Their customer service is on point and very friendly.
