Wow what a disappointment. First of all if you are making copies don't use their copiers they are old, and very slow and all my copies had a long grey mark along the top!! Real professional. Also, the copy machine asked for my rewards number, when I entered it in it said I my number didn't exist. The lady working the copy desk was complaining to another worker how all she gets were complaints from everyone, so I dared not complain about my copies being printed weird or my number not going through. I also purchased a binder which was on sale for $8 and some dividers. When I went to purchase this I told the guy ringing me up about my rewards number not working at the copier, because it DID work at his machine. He said the BEST thing to do is call costumer service... I'm sorry, I don't think that is the "best" thing to do and it's a waste of my time. After ringing me up I looked at my receipt and the binder did not ring up on sale. It was only a dollar off and he was kind enough to offer to ring it up again but at that point I was over it and I wasn't going to make the guy behind me wait for him to ring it up again... I already took enough time explaining my rewards number situation. it just seems like this staples really doesn't have it together.... I'm going to Office Depot from now on. read more

This place is alright. I went on 2 different occasions of which I will tell you about. The first was to buy a phone for my home office land line. I was trying to find something semi-inexpensive and after some searching with the sales associate was able to track and AT&T phone down that was pretty decent. I didn't like the price and asked the guy (shot in the dark) to take $10 off and surprisingly he did. I back to get a computer desk (I broke mine) and was shocked to find out that they don't carry any in the store. Not sure how you can be an "office superstore" and not carry home office desks. I know you can buy them on their website but it's always better to see a desk in person before you buy it. read more

I love office supply stores... a bouquet of office supplies would be amazing! (Make a note of this boys...) Anyway, my mom needed an orange binder for work... I suggested a clear binder with orange paper or spray painting one of her many white binders, but for some reason she didn't like those ideas. In fact, my mom responded with, "That's so trashy" when I suggested the clear binder with orange papers. Thanks Mom. I think there were two staff members and by no means was the place super busy, so why it took forever and a day to pay is beyond me. There were about four people in line, but two staff members at the same register. And by same register I mean, the girl ringing people up and the guy watching. At one point the guy got wise and opened another register... after there were just me and my mom in line. read more

It was an unintentional stop, going to Staples. I wanted to go to PetCo right next door but it didn't open until 10 and it was only 8:30! I decided right then and there I needed a paper shredder. I walked in, saw the nice display and nice range of prices and found a small, powerful one. It was 59.99 with a $30 rebate. Not too bad. So I bought it. AND 7.99 for a product replacement plan? The service here sucks. We couldn't locate anyone on the floor to check to see if they had a filing cabinet in the back. We went to the front to check and was "helped" by the IT guy there. He was rude, stuck up and snobby. Another associate said there were 2 in Stock but he wasn't sure where it was. This IT guy simply said the only one they had was the dented floor model. I can see why this store is run down and in desperate need of sales. Needless to say, I left without making a purchse. MANAGEMENT: you should invest in properly staffing your store with knowledgeable and friendly staff and surely your sales will inprove. read more

Went in today to grab some supplies for work. I really needed a iPad case and I know they were $$$ but what I did like is that Cesar didn't give me a hard time about wanting to price match on Amazon. I really like this staples store. I personally use to work at the staples in escondido I worked there for a couple years. So I have just a teeny bit of insight into staples . I've got to say this store is awesome. The girl in the copy center is really sweet and very quick in the managers know where everything is. I never have trouble finding anything. They always ask for my rewards phone number and I'm always glad to give it to get those extra points. The bathrooms our also really clean compared to most department stores. The new employee in training was very friendly and helpful, but the manager gave me a very bad look when he learned I needed to return something I bought online. Come on, I spent at least thousands over the past 7 years with Staples, and I rarely return anything. My compliant? They did not have paper covers that you can take out, from the inside, side. A worker tried to show me a different type of binder ,that Jumped in price from $5.99 (which I had picked out.), to $27.00. But then they didn't have all the items for the pricier item, in stock! What has happened to Staples? Not only the CMR store but the Poway store. Employees seem to be so unhappy and take it out on their service to customers...not so much the CMR store but Poway for sure. Stores are unkempt, dirty and supplies are unorganized. I was a pure Staples Rewards customer until about six months ago and now go to Office Depot more frequently. Beware of this store. They will charge you credit card and never bother to give you refund unless you check your own credit card statement. Below is my experience: I have ordered business cards back in Dec 2017 and paid. Next day I get a call from store and they leave me below message saying there machine is bad and order won't be process in time. So I called back and cancel the order. Lady said they will refund money. Now back in January I was going through my credit card and found staples had never refunded me money. Now everytime I call they say there was some problem and now you need to come to store. With the busy schedule if you never pay attention, looks like these store people are charging you credit card and never refunding you money. Needed to have 2 documents bound for a meeting this evening. Waited 22 minutes on line for the print dept. never answered., Called main line and waited 17 minutes for someone to answer. Explained how long I had been waiting and they said they would transfer me and have someone pick up right away. Was still kept waiting for another 4 minutes. Explained I only need 2 documents bounds they said 1 1/2 to 2 hours because of all the back to school shopping ( how does that affect the copy dept?) and so many jobs ahead of mine. Called sister asked her to go over the store and ask how long it would take, She was told no jobs waiting. So needless to say I did not go because not sure which lie to believe. busy or not, customer service is the worse. Run away from Staples. read more

Worst experience EVER!! Just got home from this totally disorganized place. Items not where they should be and shelves in disarray, boxes left on floor blocking shelves where my wife and I needed to get to. To top it off the customer service was deplorable. My wife and I have never been to this location before until now. This is definitely one of the more appealing staples that ive stopped at to pick up a few things for my projects around the house. It's also really close off the freeway. I asked a young worker named Blake for help finding some duck tape and he didn't mind walking me over to the spot. Waiting in line took awhile due to another customer ahead getting hot headed over something but then another employee Jessica came over with a smile to help me pay for my items. read more

I do not usually write a review and this is my first ever. I wanted to write this one as I feel the people who helped me deserve to be recognized for their extraordinary service. Easy Tech at Staples Carmel Mountain is superb! I am not a techie and so last year, I hired them (paid $99 for their complete Home Networking) to set up my HP printer (fax, copy, scan) to work with my mac laptop and home network. Their knowledgeable tech came to my house, delivered the printer and set it up. They guaranteed their work for 30 days and when I had a question, I could always call them but I didn't have to coz everything was working well. This year, I upgraded to a desktop mac mini and bought a modem, router and printer from Staples. They recommended the particular brands and models that were best for my needs, installed the items and guaranteed they would replace any if the specs were not compatible with mine. At $99 for the complete home networking service, it was more than worth this price as the efficient, professional and caring service performed was valuable and par excellence. They guided me all throughout the process until I was very satisfied, I was more than satisfied and happy that I have found a resource I could call anytime I need some product tech support. It took away my frustrations and fears of how to deal with tech problems. In particular, Daniel is the EasyTech guy who worked with me all throughout my Staples experience although all of them at the EasyTech Dept were very helpful, knowledgeable and professional from the manager to whoever answers the phone. Daniel was very easy to deal with, very patient and very helpful with a hceerful attitude. He was also flexible with my time availability. He didn't leave my house until I was confident that I understood all that he said. He even helped me to connect with Time Warner first before he installed the proper Motorola modem and Netgear router. A few weeks later, I had problems with very slow internet connecting and it was past my 30-day warranty period. I called Daniel who suggested I call Time Warner. Sure enough there were some TWC signal problems and after they fixed their end, Daniel came again to do some adjustment settings. He gave me a break on the Home networking service fee and he also replaced the router he installed originally with no extra charge so that my Roku was also up to its maximum streaming capacity (or whatever the tech terminilogy is for this). Again, this time, I felt more confident that my network is now at its best. Months later, I haven't had any issue and am loving how everything is working in my home network.I would highly recommmend using the Staples EasyTech for your homenetworking needs. read more

I like Staples. Their staff are always so helpful and go out of their way to resolve any issues. I recently purchased an office chair online and tried it out for a few days. Turned out that it just wasn't quite the product I was looking for. Called the staff at this location and informed them that I wanted to return the chair and they were totally accommodating. They gave me a full refund on the spot. Staples has a policy that if you purchase an item online you can either ship it back to them, repackage the item and have them pick it up at your place, or return it to the store. *It's important to note that if you purchase a furniture item it must be disassembled and all items must be placed in the original ( or suitable) packaging before they can accept it for a return. Other than that the whole process was quick, friendly, and simple. Shopping here for office/school supplies is easy and there's always an employee close by to help you out. read more

My husband went in to Staples Carmel Mt Ranch today to buy an Amazon gift card. The store has a policy that they need to call the credit card company and get an ok for the purchase......APPARENTLY this needs to be done at the top of the cashiers voice. The cashier read out loud my husbands credit card number, expiration date and the 3 digit security code. When asked if there was a more discreet way to handle this transaction, the cashier said nope, this is the only way....not too smart! read more

The people that work in the computer department are crooks and liars. My dad has been a loyal customer going to them for years anytime he had an issue with his laptop and he bought all his products there. Including multiple laptops for himself and one for me. My mom borrowed my laptop recently and she got nervous because she thought it had a virus and she's not very tech savvy so she told my dad and he took it to staples. My mom informed me about what happened and said they charged my dad 316 dollars saying the computer needed to have diagnostics done and be repaired. Nothing was wrong with the computer that I couldn't have easily fixed myself or with a simple system restore. My parents don't know better because they are not tech savvy and they trusted the employees. I called right away and said please stop whatever you are doing to my laptop and refund the 316 dollars. The person they worked with named Daniel said the process had already been STARTED but he would see what he could do and call me back. I explained we do all our business there and if a manager could make an exception I'd really appreciate it. I later received a voicemail from Daniel saying "as I said the process has been FINISHED(change of story) and so we can't refund the money for the diagnostics but we will refund half for the antivirus program we didn't install yet. I called back and asked for a manager and this was the worst part. The manager Jesse said there was nothing that could be done and when I told him he was going to lose a lot of business over it he said "ok thanks" and HUNG UP on me. I was shocked so I reached out to Staples customer relations. The lady on the phone was nice and empathetic but after calling the store still said nothing else could be done. I'm in the IT field. I know what "running diagnostics" means. It does not cost anyone $160. And the lady from customer relations even told me it was done remotely! So someone in another country logged into my computer and "ran diagnostics" and took hard earned money from my dad. I will never do business with this store or company again and I will tell everyone I know and have already steered many people away. Best buy has better prices anyway. The only advantage Staples had was better service and now that's definitely not the case. Hope it was worth the $160. I will be reaching out to the better business bureau as well. read more

On 12/24 I went to this store to return a wireless router I bought on 11/28. A young store staff was helping me with the process in a very smooth pace until it was interrupted by another bigger mid-age senior level staff. First he said I couldn't return the item because I didn't have my receipt printed out, and he refused to take the one I opened on my phone. When I asked if they can help me to printed it out, he told me to go to the copy center. Eventually when I come back to the counter, once again, he denied my return and told me it passed the two-week return period. I really thought you get 30-day return anywhere in these days. The whole process he acted like I was trying to take a big advantage. Anyways, that's not the of the story yet. This week my friend told me staples' holiday return policy. Apparently anything bought between 11/26 and Christmas can be returned before 1/15!! I called staples costumer service today and got it returned within 2 minutes! read more
