I came here to print some pictures and the whole process took me less than 5 minutes. Printing from your email is a self-service process so you email your file to the staples printer inbox, then a code/QR code is sent your phone within a minute, and then you take that code/QR code and scan it to the printer you're using in the store. From there, you select the file(s) you want printed and you can preview your work before clicking print. It tells you the estimated cost and gives you a solid preview of what's about to get printed, before you click print. Also, I do have a printer at home but I like coming here when I'm printing things that I want to show a high contrast of colors, or if there's a picture or logo on the paper since the ink quality is really nice compared to what prints at home. read more

The store itself is fine-the employees are lacking. To get any help is impossible. I asked 2 employees where something was located and both just shrugged and said " I dunno know" not to mention they are all walking around with earbuds in. The next time I went I had to purchase a bunch of heavy supplies and nobody could help. You don't have full size carriages (why???) and balancing 20 boxes on top of a baby carriage one by one to the front wasn't helpful. 2 employees stood there watching me and never offered to help. I finally asked one of them if I could borrow the dolly and he said I wasn't allowed-I asked if I could put them all on by myself and he could push it to the front but I got a lot of eye rolling and sighing for taking too long. I made an appointment for the TSA Pre Check and I got confirmation the day of. I arrived at Staples for my appointment and was told there is no one there available to do it and they didn't know when they will have someone to do it. They said they should have sent an email about not being able to do it. But I never received any notifications . Terrible customer service! read more

Thank you for your help earlier today. August 4, 2025. I had purchased an HP 4255e printer from this store in March. I had also purchased an extra set of printer cartridges. Today I discovered that I had purchased the wrong replacement cartridges. After I had taken them out of the box and installed them. I returned them to the store. The manager found my transaction from back in March and gave me a refund. I purchased the correct cartridges and everything is fine. Thank you for your courtesy. read more

I just want to commend the print center here. It took me a month to pick up a sign I'd ordered for an ongoing peace vigil I want to attend. Despite my lateness and the staff having to discard the original order, one of the employees at the print pick-up desk (I REALLY wish I had gotten his name) offered to reprint the sign for me within fifteen minutes. I purchased some other items too and the entire time he didn't comment on my lateness or anything else, just kept it fully professional. I also had some posters printed here for a cultural fair at my child's school a few months ago and, for only $20, it looked like a decor-worthy poster. I've always had excellent experiences with the print center here and will continue to use them. I was also pleased to find out that they offer myriad other services at this store including passport photos, TSA pre-check, a podcast recording room, tons of print & marketing options, shredding, shipping, design work, tech repair, and so much more. I never paid much attention to Staples stores in other cities I've lived in but I know I'll be using this place a lot. Staples seems to be expanding into a lot more areas of service than its competitors and I think that will serve them well. read more

Staff in the printing area was extremely rude/condescending. I asked for help printing out a shipping label, and the staff member was rolling her eyes and seemed very annoyed to be helping me. I packaged my item and took it to her to pay for all the items I used. I figured she could just look them up in the system. She looked at the package and glared at me and said "since you already sealed the package, I have to go find all the items and scan them." I would have been happy to go bring her the items but before I had the chance to respond, she stomped off. When she got back to the front desk with the items I apologized for sealing the envelope. She gave me another annoyed glare with no response. I realize I made her job harder which i felt bad about and tried to apologize but she made me incredibly uncomfortable. There were so many different departments and a lot of employees. It looked very organized. Appointments are highly recommended as from what I heard certain departments such as IT isn't always staffed but employees are really willing to help if they can. My wait wasn't long. I continue to be impressed by the Staples store in Needham, Highland Avenue. In this review I wish to thank Dave McNeish for his help with printing photographs for a family event. It was help that was needed although the purchase was nominal. Dave was helpful and treated me with respect considering the circumstances. I often come here to hang out and get out of my home office. Once here I start remembering items that I need. Even when I come to the store to hang out and have coffee, I never leave without buying something. Great customer service is valuable in today's retail store marketplace. Why visit a store when most items are available online? I like the feel of a brick and mortar store. I like the interaction between sales staff and me. I like to interact with other customers. What's on sale? What's trending? The experience online is linear. It's visual on the online stores. Many more senses are involved with an in store experience. Visually you see the products but in a three dimensional way when seeing items in person. Here I can sit in an office chair and write this. It smells new. It feels supportive and yet comfortable. A possible sale today? Who knows. With a good sales person, I feel comfortable in returning to this store again. Not sure why such low scores for this location. I use them for coworking in their Studio space which is one of the nicer spaces around and its not only convenient, right off Route 128, and main drag of Highland Ave, its easy to use with expanded hours and best thing about using an office here, the store is directly attached in case you need any supplies. The staff here is friendly, helpful and knows customer service. I am usually not a big fan of Staples, however they have redeemed themselves in my eyes with their coworking spaces and affordability compared to competitors. read more

Staples has really dropped service levels significantly. Went to one location for a tsa pre check appt just to find out after waiting for 15 min that the employee that conducts that service quit. Was told to go to Dedham but they don't offer that service. Now in Needham and waiting outside an unmanned area with a long line with vague assurances that the employee will turn up eventually. read more

This is solely about woman in charge of printing .There are plenty of good employees, but this person has zero skills facing the public. She is very rude, even on the phone. I see that in Jan someone else had an experience like ours, and I don't know how people like this end up in jobs that involve great communication skills. Consistent friendly and knowledgeable staff members, as well as a full, complete inventory, that is always stocked. For my job, we purchased a projector online. We ended up needing to exchange it, so we brought it to the store. We were told that it couldn't be exchanged in the store since it was purchased online, so the person at the counter "returned" it, and we bought a new one. The credit never went through. We are down over $600 - and no one has been able to help us find out what happened. We have been told "Tiffany" will take care of it, but she hasn't called us back. Corporate won't help us. The store won't help us. Somewhere along the line, they have forgotten that we are a customer who spends tens of thousands of dollars each year with Staples. Until we get our money back, we will no longer be purchasing from them. read more

Staples uses Norton System Check to diagnose an ailing CPU, charging $69 for diagnostics. You can get this software on eBay for $20. Communication is horrible and over the 2 weeks they had the CPU they lost two techs, they did not fix the issues I had (Raid card was acting up and Firfox wouldn't open). I was told that my CPu was two advanced as it had mirrored hard drives. This isn't advanced, just a back up. I would recommend not using them. It isn't worth the frustration. read more

This review is for their print center only. I've been to a lot of Staples Copy Print centers for both business and personal reasons. In most cases it's perfectly fine. The associates working the desk are anywhere from incredibly helpful (I'm looking at you musician dude in Quincy) to slightly robotic "bored at work" types (the manager who ran the counter during my days in Roslindale), but none, and I mean none, have been so work averse or so blatantly against the basic tenants of customer service as the man who I've had the displeasure of working with both times I've needed to get something printed in this store. Let me paint two pictures for you; The first takes place nearly 9 months ago when I went in to have some bridal shower invites printed up. Nothing fancy - just a Word document that lived on a USB that I needed roughly 40 color copies of on card stock. Since I'd done similar jobs like this at other Staples on a walk in basis I didn't think twice to walk in, step up to the counter and ask for what I needed. However, the man behind the counter had other ideas. He insisted that they were way too busy to take the job. That I should have sent it through their website. Things that I would have believed if: A) If the store wasn't empty and the three print associates weren't all leaning against the back counter gabbing away; B) If even one machine was going at the time, but not one job was being printed or worked on at all; and C) If I hadn't walked into at least a dozen other locations asking for similar jobs and had met with resistance at even one of them. So, well, I said as much and wouldn't you know, all of a sudden he was (begrudgingly) agreeing with me and printed the invites! Insisting the whole way through that he was doing me some sort of favor. Really dude? I'm giving the company good money so that you can print a few copies for me on a day when you've got nothing else going on. No customers, no money, no job, right? I won't even get into how I swear he intentionally tried to break by USB stick. No - not kidding - he was trying so hard to avoid doing the work that I swear he tried to break my USB. The second experience was just yesterday. Same guy behind the counter (tall, very dark, and Jamaican I think for those at home wondering who to avoid), same attitude, but worse. How could it be worse? Well, this time I'd called the store hours ahead to ask how I should submit an order on the website for a print I needed done on Staples own brand of sticker paper. The woman I spoke to seemed nice, reasonable even, and asked me to put it in as a regular copy job, but to note the stickers in the Special Instructions section. I asked if I selected a rush job (an extra $5 by the by), if she could ensure they'd be done by 5:30. She said no problem and that my job would be ready when I came in that evening. Surprise! Mr. I Hate My Job was working and when I handed him the print order confirmation I also told him that he wasn't looking for a stack of paper, rather, a stack of stickers. He rolled right into, "Oh - we can't do that!" Wait a minute, but your colleague said that it would be ready for me when I came in today, "Oh - she shouldn't have said that! You need to buy the stickers first!" Seriously? So where are the flipping stickers? "Aisle Two" I ran around the store for another ten minutes looking for the stickers. Turns out they were actually in Aisle One - and might I also mention that even at this point it's ten minutes too long because I should have walked in, paid for the stickers, collected my prints and left? I bring them up to the print counter and he's in the middle of berating some other customer about an obviously bad print job that could have been avoided if he'd changed the cartridge before printing 100 copies for her - and then charging her for them. When he finally gets back to me, he hemmed and hawed that he doesn't think he could print on the sticker paper and I told him that yes he could - I'd had another job a few months ago on the same paper at the Quincy location (again - love that guy who runs the counter there.. he's awesome!) and that it needed to be done tonight... hence me paying for the rush order fee on the website. He spends the next ten minutes wondering around, mumbling all sorts of things that shouldn't be said in front of a customers and eventually produces the stickers that I'd requested. After that experience I marched up to customer service and got the rush fee returned to my debit card. You'd think the assistant manager, Shane, who had been wondering around the store during this entire dog and pony show would have said something to apologize for the ordeal, but he was more annoyed that he kept having to come up to the customer service desk to enter his numbers to authorize the transaction. To her credit, the customer service representative was nice - and probably the only half decent person in that pit of despair. read more

Used them to print some promotional materials for work. Their prices are okay, but you can definitely find other vendors that will do the same projects for lower prices. The people working there are nice and definitely helpful, but sometimes the service is quite slow. The worst experience I had was when I was getting two promotional posters printed and needed them next day. I dropped them off the afternoon of the day before I needed them and was told I could have them picked up that evening or the next morning. When I went in the next morning, I was told the posters didn't print for some reason and it was my fault (I provided faulty files). I was frustrated I wasn't contacted about this because I made it quite clear I needed them by that day. To make things worse, I even brought my laptop in to work them to get them printed but they couldn't make it work after many tries. I ended up leaving in frustration and not having the posters I needed for work that evening. Unfortunately, after that experience, I won't be using this Staples print center again in the near future. It's sad because this store is really convenient for me but I can't afford to miss deadlines for work because of a faulty print center again. read more

I have never written a bad review on Yelp...until now, and I wish there was an option of zero stars. do NOT buy a laptop here. They were supposed to install Office on my new computer, including Outlook. It took me 7 trips. By the 7th, they still hadn't correctly installed Outlook...and the perfectly functional battery on my old computer was dead and they had lost my Calendar and Address Book files...and then -- 7 trips later -- they informed me that they don't install Outlook -- that was a mistake on their part. Would that they had told me that in advance of contracting to install Outlook! Along the way, they blamed me for not getting my Windows updates (which I do every time it's suggested) and came up with all sorts of excuses for why the "old" (May 2018) computer was slow, which was originally what I was trying to get fixed before buying the new one. But they never fixed the problem. It has taken me 4 phone calls (3 non-returned ones) to try to get a gift card equivalent to what the Square Trade insurance cost me, since I had to send the old computer in. Not because it was slow but because while Staples had it, it stopped working pretty much altogether. (I think they dropped it -- they claim they didn't, but the battery was working fine and I had my files before they got their paws on it.) As with the original problem and the original service itself, they are refusing to take any responsibility and provide a refund equivalent to what I paid for SquareTrade. SquareTrade was to protect me from my own negligence, not theirs, but since it covers their negligence it seems like they should have paid for the coverage. Technical service -- 0 Integrity --- 0 Responsiveness -- 0 Willingness to own up to their errors -- 0. I only live a half-mile from Staples but I am never going there again for anything requiring the slightest bit of human interaction. Jeff Bezos just gained a new customer. read more

Many of the staff are rude and lacking inter personal skills especially when there is a problem. I left my computer for a diagnostic. I was informed that a couple of the applications which were put on by a previous geek had comprimised the registration on the computer which needed to be repaired.That was done and I was told mcfree would be installed. The computer was picked up but mcfree virus protection was not installed. I called the tech who gave me incorrect numbers twice for the tech support to log in remotely. I was finally given the correct number for a tech to log in remotely by someone at oneof the incorrect numbers I called. I spent hours on the phone with the Staples tech and with Mcfree trying to resolve the problem. The Mcfree application was not installed and aI had to wIt another 45 minutes for it to be installed. I had told the tech prior to this trip to Stalpes that I was continuing to receive notices that mcfree was not a on the computer. The tech tried to brush it off as oh it is just spam. Finally I asked for a manager at mcfree and learned that their was an incorrect e-mail with mcfree. My printer which was working is now not printing. Staples refuses to di anything to resolve the problem. I am not at all impressed with Staples and will not use them again. Emotely read more

I usually don't leave reviews but since the recent renovations, the store has gone downhill. I went there to purchase 3 things in store as I had a in store only coupon. The layout doesn't make sense and very difficult to find anything. Could not find what I was looking for at all and was told none of it was in stock and that I could order online and pick up in store. Why would I do that? I can simply order from another store and have them ship to me. I was looking for a hard cover "at a glance" weekly calendar, a large storage bin and 3 ring pocket folders: common items I would normally expect to find at a Staples. read more

When the place gets busy they do an idiotic procedure. At check-out they make people get in "one line" that goes all the way to the back of the store..... instead of just letting people naturally flow to which ever cashier they choose, Naturally nobody knows this so they just walk up to the cashiers. Then some associate yells at you to go to the back of that ONE LINE. In my opinion...the manager has very poor judgement. read more

Went to get a $300 printing job done. The 3 teenagers managing the copy center couldn't have cared less. They printed 50 copies off a thumb drive and didn't even bother to check it before giving it to me. The alignment was all wrong and again they couldn't have cared less. Staff here are very rude, especially at check out. While there were several people waiting In line, there was one person ringing people and another standing at a register that also seemed to double as the customer service desk maybe? His light was off and he was chatting with a coworker. I was next in line when all of a sudden I hear "hey! HELLOOO?!? OVER HERE!" Apparently his register was open and that was his way of letting me know he was available to wait on me...? Thanks, super friendly and professional. Went there the other day for some printing supplies that I needed. Overall clean store and they seem to be well staffed. My only issue was when I was waiting in line I had the chance to browse my phone and discovered that the same laser ink cartridges were much less on amazon. Like 20-30% less. I know this is likely not the case for every item but in this day and age a company the size of staples should be able to come closer to others prices. I still purchased the items because I was in a rush but may shop around next time. read more

My company has always used this Staples location for printing materials for conferences and the like, and not once have we ever been let down. I just came back from picking up printed and laminated items and all were perfect. The staff are always accommodating, not to mention knowledgeable and personable (particularly Tashima, who is an absolute star). Highly recommended! read more

I use the copy and print service about every other week. The staff is the most helpful and friendly I have encountered at any copy center. They go out of their to make sure they know exactly what you want. They are patient. This is a very busy place but they are still able to handle the high demand with a smile. I highly recommend using this Staples copy center! read more
