I came in yesterday just to add $1 to my Staples card so I could print something myself, I wasn't even asking anyone to do the printing for me. When I politely said, "Excuse me, I just want to add a dollar," the girl with the fucked up lashes looked at me and rolled her eyes. Then her coworker said, "I got it," and they both started laughing. I'm still wondering what was so funny because I certainly wasn't. That kind of attitude is rude, unprofessional, and completely unnecessary. I don't understand why someone who has zero customer service skills is working in a customer-facing position. Listen... I LOVE a good office supply store. I'd rather shop for office supplies than clothes or shoes - ANY DAY. This Staples is not it. It's dirty. It's really small and doesn't have much stock. What they do have is largely locked up to prevent theft... even things like pens. It's really hard to find the entrance. For some inexplicable reason it's in the back of a building, where the trash is located. There is an odd parking lot that is behind a gate. It's just a strange setup. There was something slightly post-apocalyptic about this Staples, but we did obtain passport photos here for our kids when we desperately needed them. We'd struck out at CVS and Walgreens on a Sunday evening, only days before our application appointment at the post office, and we needed to get those photos immediately if we wanted the passports to come when we needed them. We just got back from Mexico this week, and I'm really grateful to Staples for coming through when the other janky chain operations failed. I didn't even know you could take passport photos at Staples. We only ended up here because someone working at the Walgreens next door pointed us in the right direction. We walked over carrying a baby and a toddler and threw ourselves at their mercy. To our relief, we were helped immediately. The photo set-up seemed more legit than the drugstore equivalents, with a camera that looked less than ten years old and a white lit backdrop instead of a flimsy piece of whiteboard. We got a stool for the toddler to stand on, and daddy held the baby up for his photo. The printing process was fast, and it was pretty fun selecting the photos and watching the photographer get the dimensions just right for passport purposes. My husband once had a passport application rejected because his photo was a tiny bit blurry, and we didn't have the leeway for that kind of mistake this time around. We paid and left within minutes, putting an end to this long, frustrating errand. I imagine the rest of the Staples is up to snuff, but wasn't looking to explore. It wasn't the warmest, most inviting place--it had harsh lighting, exposed pipes, and generally dismal air of a lesser megachain in the 21st century--but it seemed reasonably well stocked and the staff was great. If you need passport photos, start here, and I'll keep it in mind if I ever have to go to a store for whatever Staples supplies. read more

I visited the staple located at 3223 W 6th St, Los Angeles, CA 90020, on Sep 24,2025 between 1pm-2pm. I just wanted to drop off my Amazon package. There was a black man (in his 20 -30s) and a Hispanic girl at the Amazon return station. I was standing near the counter to return my package. The girl was taking care of her order with a customer, the man was there too but he didn't say anything to me, so I assumed I would have to be on the line where the Hispanic girl was at. After she was done with her customer, she told me that the black man is supposed to take care of the drop off package. So I went to him, he took care of my stuff quietly, absolutely no words came out from his mouth. After he took my package, I made my way to the exit. Then I got a gut feeling that he might be mistakenly not scanned my return order. When I checked on Amazon website, it wasn't scanned. So I went back inside and asked the Hispanic girl to make sure that the package was scanned. The black guy was listening and he said "that's why I asked you for the receipt lol" so I said "I'm sorry I didn't hear you" which I actually didn't hear. In fact he never spoke while he was taking care of my order so I generally thought he couldn't talk. I also didn't know if I could get a receipt for the return. After I apologized for not hearing him saying that, he then laughed and said "I asked you for the receipt lol" it made me feel extremely uncomfortable. Then I said "sorry i didn't hear you saying that" then he just laughed and ignored. The Hispanic girl was so sweet and nice. But the black man needs to learn how to communicate with his customers. Not all of your customers are experienced in returning Amazon packages. Also, not many people are physically good at hearing. I am Asian, especially in this massive challenging time with immigration issues, his attitude really made me feel uncomfortable. She talks to one customer so long when people are in line to be helped. She talks to the customer about car insurance thing. Looks like this customer had an accident? Had a good experience at the Crenshaw Baldwin Hills location where they are short staffed but still paying attention to the needs of walk in business clients. Do the shortages and staffing. You should always try and come in several hours before you need something bound or print it however, you can also use the online service to submit your orders.. the manager is open to solutions that help a business owner and the staff person here has been excellent. She was calm. Explain the procedure to me and then helped me to find a solution. This is all you can ask for in a local business - one way to improve their service is to cross train all employees and managers to be as knowledgeable and efficient as the person assigned to the department. A major perk about this Staples is that it comes with its own parking lot. There was a mentally ill man and a group of teens doing who knows what in the more empty back area of the parking lot, but the front of the lot was fine. Initially, I was turned off by this location because of how messy, dirty, and unorganized it appeared. However, the employees I encountered changed my perception of the location. I ordered a printer online and picked it up in store. The process was easy and an employee even helped me carry the printer to my car. I also got some printer paper that happened to be my sale. I just went here tonight around 6:20pm to asked for them to print me my passport photo, I was 2nd in the line and the lady who assisted me asked me if my digital photo is already set as passport photo, because if not, she need to print one photo per photo paper and they charged $1.42 per page. So I responded "okay, no problem" because for me as long as they will give me the photo that I am buying I will pay. So like what she said, my passport photo was printed in the middle of an A4 size photo paper. When she gave me the finish product, all 6 passport photos where cut unevenly and all different sizes and I asked her why it is not cut evenly, she responded "well it is not sized as passport and I already did my best to cut it nicely, I took the photo and still paid for $11.89. I will try to see if this will be acceptable my legal passport document but if not, basically I wasted $11.89 for worst customer service that this staple associate provided me! read more

I came to fax some papers today and I've never faxed any papers before today. I was asking for help and I was treated carelessly. I asked for help multiple times and the two associates were busy fraternizing with each other instead of being attentive. The young man even stopped in the middle of the transaction to joke and talk to her as if he's not at work. When he finally did help, he treated me as if I was bothering him. As a non tech savvy person, I was dreading printing out a project I was working on (bachelorette passports). It was front and back with special measurements and all sorts of colors. I had trouble understanding how to put it together to make it work. I struggled to explain what I wanted but David took his time to make sure he understood me. He walked me throughout the process from sending my pdf to their email down to sizing it to the correct measurements. We had an issue with the content of my work but after some minor tweaks he got the okay from Elias and we were golden! Unfortunately, David had to take his lunch but fortunately Jude took care of us. Do not get your prints done here. They have messed up my order 3 out of 3 times. The workers are very slow and don't seem like they want to be there. I went to pick up my poster that I needed for work at the time they said it would be ready, but when I got there they told me their machine was down all day. There was no phone call to let me know my order would not be completed that day. A previous time, a worker named Tony took my order, but did not submit it for the next shift. When I came to pick up, the next shift told me they never received the job. Apparently, this was not the first time that employee made that mistake and seems like it happens often. Go to the Staples on Wilshire instead. They were much more professional and even had my poster done, hours before expected pick up time. I also received confirmation when it was ready. -Pandemic Review- If you're going to be doing any printing, scanning, faxing etc avoid this location at all costs unless you are prepared to wait 20-30 minutes to use their printers. I have came to this location twice both at different times and it was the same thing. Moreover during my visit today, there was a staples worker who was "managing the line" yelling at paying customers waiting outside for the printers about having their masks on, keeping a 6ft distance etc when she herself did not have her mask on correctly. If you're going to yell at customers, please at least have the decency of following the rules yourself. Avoid this place. Go to Hollywood and Wilcox. read more

Locked the door at 5:59 as I and two other customers were walking towards the entrance. When I called into the store from the parking lot to ask why, the manager lied and said he locked it at 6. I'm pretty sure my phone wasn't wrong on the time. I needed labels for my business for tomorrow, your store manager has made my workweek more difficult.
