I do buy things in the store from time to time. Store is clean and organized. However, the African-American female employee that wears glasses with her hair, always pulled back in a bun with the inch and a half long nails, has zero professionalism. You can say hi to her. She does not say hi back does not make eye contact with you. Moves with zero momentum at her own speed every single time. I went into the Staples in Fuquay after 5pm on 11/20/25 to purchase a computer. I found the one I wanted and asked the kid if they had it in stock. He said yes, retrieved it for me and brought it to his counter to ring me up. I asked him if it's cheaper on sale during the holiday or if I find a different one on sale next week that I may want instead will they refund the price difference or can I return it unopened for a refund/ exchange. He said yes as long as it was within the 14 day return policy window. A few days later, the same computer was on sale and in stock for $30 less than it was when I purchased it. So, my wife and I took the receipt back to the store on 11/26/25 around 6:45 pm to get refunded per what the kid previously told me and what is stated in the terms of the store return policy on the Staples website. The same kid was working that day and refused to do the price match. he basically called me a liar and said that he did not make any statements about a price match several days earlier when I purchased the computer from him. I told him that I could just bring the computer I had purchased back and return it for a refund and then just purchase the same model computer again for $30 less. He basically told me that if I wanted to return it or try and get a price match refund, I needed to talk to the general manager who wasn't at the store, but, he couldn't tell me what days or times the general manager would be present in the store for me to discuss it with him or return the computer. If I knew they weren't going to honor their own policies, I would have just gone to Best Buy and purchased the same or better computer for the same price. read more

Came in today to buy both ink and toner. Three different people helped me find where the ink was, helped me buy the right toner, told me about the promotion, and taught me all about the cartridge recycling so I can earn rewards points. Will definitely be returning to my neighborhood store instead of supporting the online jungle. read more

I have never written an review on yelp before but I feel like I need to today. I have been into this Staples location in Fuquay three times now to print various posters/pictures and today was for my daughter's birthday invitations. Twice I have been served by Nikki who has just been amazing! She was able to offer advice and help as needed and did both jobs very quickly for me and has gone out of her way to be kind, polite and just simply amazing!! The other lady I felt with too (I don't know her name) was also great. A definite place to go for any printing needs!! read more

I've been here several times for printing services and can be a hit or miss, but whenever I go and the older lady is working she is PHENOMENAL!! She was on the floor helping me with where things were and while she was stocking she would communicate with costumers if they needed help. Interacted with my son so friendly. And the when I needed help picking up an order she helped me even though the two young ladies behind the counter were not doing anything. read more

Not sure why there's only new employees on staff who can't figure anything out. Had to walk them through setting up the print on their own system. Plus, I was charged extra to have a few pages printed at that moment. They're literally having someone FaceTime them on how to use the equipment. I had someone make me a digital template of birthday invitation for my son. I went to this Staples to have them printed on photo paper and buy envelopes for them. When I walked in there were two teenage girls behind the Copy and print desk. One came right over and I asked her if I could do custom envelopes (add an image I had brought with me on a Flash Drive). She didn't answer, just started looking through services on a computer, which she half turned so I could see it as well. We found custom envelopes and after 15 minutes of her and another employee (other teenager) figuring out how to get what I wanted, we landed on the order page. It was here I found out that the minimum order is 100 envelopes for $130! WHAT? Seeing as though I'll be sending out about 30 invitations, we scrapped that idea. Next up, invitations. I showed her (from the samples on the counter) which paper I wanted for the invitations (130lb glossy). I was told we would have to send out for this order. Why? Because they don't have this paper in the store. It must be ordered online, which takes 8-10 business days to receive. What a PITA! My suggestions for Staples... 1. If you insist on hiring teenagers for the printing/copying department, so you can pay min wage, at least train them properly. I came in the spend money and after 20 minutes of bad, slow service, left without spending a penny and with a bad opinion of this store. 2. Send some glossy paper to your Fuquay store. read more

In search of a specific tablet, I called this Staples to see if they had it in stock. This particular Staples is 30 minutes away (plus it was raining this day) so I didn't want to make the hour roundtrip if they didn't have it. Brian answered the phone; he was super friendly and helpful. After checking the system, he told me they had a refurbished tablet available and explained what "refurbished" meant. Then, someone told him that he should try to find the tablet and make sure they actually had it and it wasn't a damaged/lost one. Since they were busy, he took my number to call me back. I was actually surprised when I received a return phone call the same day! He ended up holding a tablet for me to pick up. I made the drive to Fuquay-Varina and told the sales associate that I had a tablet on hold. The assistant manager, Bill, came to help me out. He wordlessly (and smilelessly) went to the back room, picked up the box, brought it out in front of me and began unpacking it. I wasn't even sure I knew what he was doing! He never said anything to me and barely made any eye contact. I noticed that the box said a different tablet than the one I was looking for, so I told him that. His response was very terse, "Well this is the only [insert brand name here] I have." There was no effort made to check other store, to apologize for the confusion, or even offer to show me the other tablets available--nothing. After I told him I didn't need that tablet, but thanks, there was no response from him. Odd, I thought assistant managers should be friendlier. Went in looking for 2 items prominently listed in the weekly flyer, they had neither in stock. The sale had started the previous day. The staff politely tried to explain why and then admitted that, as they are a smaller shop in a smaller market, they don't always get the sale items like the larger Staples stores. I would recommend calling ahead to check inventory. Although I don't feel that should be necessary on the second day of a sale period. read more

A delayed response to a horrible customer experience during the evening of either March 10th or March 11th 2020 at the Staples in Fuquay-Varina. This delay was the result of a health crisis in my immediate family. I would give a zero rating if this was possible. This incident involved an attempt to return a previous purchase. The Assistant Manager was rude and condescending. This from a "Hyde wanna-be" from The 70's Show. I am the CEO of a consulting group. As the result of this experience, our consulting firm will no longer purchase office supplies from Staples. Instead, we order from Amazon, and would encourage all potential Staples customers to enjoy the courtesy and convenience of ordering from that organization. I am also an Adjunct Professor in Business Schools at several Universities. I will be using this horrible shopping experience with my students as an example of how not to generate a customer base in a competitive market. read more

I come staple all the time,utill last week.We print the menu here ,pay around $500.When I saw the menu, I can't believe it.The last two page just lose,not stick with the others. Been doing business with them since they came to Fuquay. Never had any problems ever. They had a grumpy manager once, but she was moved out of there pretty quickly. I've been happy with the online orders, the rebates, the customer service, etc. read more

Customer service has improved at this location. More people are eager to help you and are friendly when you arrive. There is still some sneakiness in pricing going on. The Staples website will have one price on an item, and the shelf price in store will be 2x as much. Make sure you look the price up online! They will price match their website or Amazon for the same product. Still, seems a bit fishy to not have the same prices that the Staples website has. read more

This is a review of Staples Easy Rebates not this particular store. I recently submitted an online rebate for three $17 debit cards. It said it would take 4-6 weeks for them to arrive. When, after six weeks, they did not arrive I contacted Staples online. I "chatted" for over 30 minutes to an employee and a supervisor. They said they did not receive my rebate request and flatly refused to help me. They said the deadline had passed. Well of course it had passed ... I had waited the six weeks before contacting Staples as I kept thinking the debit cards would arrive. I feel like I was scammed. Terrible customer service. I spend a lot of money in Staples but not any more. Really disgusted with them. Don't ever go online to submit your rebate request as they will deny all knowledge of it. read more

Staples advertises tablet repair on their website, and usb connections are one of the items listed they repair. I took it in and was quickly told that I would have to send it to the manufacturer without even looking at it. Why do companies offer services and then do not have anyone skilled enough or competant enough to do what they advertise. I would think hard about going somewhere else to do business. This is not the only time staples promise goods or services that they can't deliver. All in all staples sucks, and there prices aren't to good either, with some goods priced way over suggested retail. After numerous trips over the years, and having a not so good experience none of the times, I am finished with Staples. read more

Very helpful! I walked in the door with brand new ink that I had just bought for a now dead printer. They were able to evaluate my printing needs for my bookkeeping business and suggest a new printer. I was able to trade my ink in for new ink with my receipt and to pay part of the new printer. Went to this store to get some school supplies for the upcoming school year. I experienced the same situation as Brent D. with regards to the to the manager being awful to the employees and customers. I was walking through the store (i was in the middle part of the store) and heard the store yelling at an employee who was working on restocking the shelves near me for not greeting the person who just walked into the store. This employee had greeted me when i was in her area and also helped me later. I would say on four different times while i was in the store I heard the manager having this situation with different employees. She was the most awful/unfriendly person in the whole store.
