I am pretty frustrated with the printing services here. I was in the store 8 times in the last week trying to get a simple enlargement of a quilting block pattern. The first time I went to get a sample printed I was so excited. Thomas knew what I was saying and printed it perfectly. So I ordered additional printouts of the exact same thing and a few of the same thing, but mirror imaged. That order has never been printed properly. I know it's possible, since Thomas did it, but everyone else hasn't been able to manage it. I finally thought it was done properly, but when I got it home and measured it with my quilting tools, they are still wrong. They are also pixelated and funky, even though the sample I had printed was perfect. I don't understand how a simple 200% enlargement could be so difficult. I know it's possible. And I know their machines can do it. But going back to try to explain it and get it fixed AGAIN simply isn't worth the frustration. I would love a refund, but I am too annoyed at this point to even go in the store. I will be going to the local, family owned print shop on Monday. Hopefully they will be able to help me. read more

I brought a 50 page bound document to be copied. I was told it would be ready after 12:00 the next day. I went in to pick it up at 1:00 and was told it wouldn't be ready until 7:00. The explanation: it was "complicated" and they had difficulty rebinding the original. They said to come back at 7:00. I spoke to the manager who also said it was a "complicated" job. I simply asked why I wasn't told that in the first place. Very poor communication with no accountability. The manager wanted to blame the girl at the counter. I told him that it is his job to train his help and not the girl's fault. read more

Whatever you do DO NOT EVER DROP OFF A UPS PACKAGE AT THIS STAPLES STORE!!!!!! I left a UPS package on April 16 and, thankfully, asked for my receipt. Five days later there is no record of this package in the UPS system . I went to Staples to follow up and the manager basically says "not my problem", and told me to call UPS. He wouldn't even go to check to see if my package could still be in the room where they keep packages for pickup. I realize that UPS package drop off is not their main business but the total lack of any sense of customer service by the manager reflects very poorly on the store. I would give it zero stars if possible!!! read more

Honestly I do not know who is writing these reviews? Is it a former employee? A former scorn lover of a current employee? Absolute madness and cruelty. Do people not understand that employees depend on this business continuing to thrive to put food on their tables? The store was clean and well organized. The entire team was extremely friendly. The person that helped me in the printing went above and beyond to help me print something from my phone. The cashier got me to sign up for the app on my phone. She even complimented my manicure. Really think about your negative reviews before you write them. Give people the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps their family member is ill, perhaps they have worked 10 days in a row because the store can't find employees. You never know what another human is experiencing. Be nice! read more

Not sure how businesses like Staples are still open. We went in, looking for desk organizers (like letter sorter trays) and while we found them, we were both SHOCKED by their prices. Most desktop organizers were $15+ for cheap, flimsy, plastic trays... Forget about the "quality" mesh metal, leather or wood trays, those easily run $30+. We took home a "bargain", 6 letter trays for $15 or so. Got the box home, 2 trays were broken. I did see a few nicer items, Cynthia Rowley stationary and desk organization pieces, that I wouldn't mind owning at some point. My fiancé also found a huge aluminum sided corkboard for $30-something, a pretty fair deal. As we were perusing the aisles, several associates asked us if they could help us, later we found out they actually had closed at 6. No announcement or anything. Its strange to me to see 5 employees in an empty store shoo out two customers and turns away two more. And this is a store that closes at 6. I don't see this location lasting much longer. read more

Stopped here today to get my daughter some school supplies. An employee met us at the door and told us masks were mandatory. When I questioned him about it he told me that the governor made them mandatory indoors for all public places. I didn't believe him but didn't meant to argue because he could have been correct. We masked up and did our shopping. Afterwards we stopped at several other stores and shoppers weren't masked. Upon looking into the state mask rules I found that the employee straight up lied to us. read more

I have been a customer of Staples on Boston Rd. in Springfield for many years. I have purchased many of my supplies from Staples online. For the past year now the Staples store has not carried some of the items I usually buy and I've had to order them online :o( Buying anything from Staples lately has been not the most pleasant experience. The prices at Staples are usually higher than Walmart for the same products. And...BEWARE of Staples "Price Matching"...if you look into this the way I did, you will see that Staples will price match some things, but not others. They are phony, they lie and their statements are fraudulent. They advertise on TV, we guarantee to price match 110% !! They are SUPPOSE TO price match with certain other stores, as long as the product is sold and shipped from that store and that store only. Fine, that's okay. But what I have found out is, if Staples is going to lose a significant of money on a price match, they won't do it...they will tell you..." We have to look into this further....which is what I have been told many times now after comparing prices of ink, flash drives and paper at Walmart. They will tell you they will get back to you in a day or two...figuring...I think...that you don't want to bother to wait and will go ahead and purchase the product at Staples for the more expensive price. They have tried that with me several times and I have told them "forget it...I'll purchase the item at Walmart." The last time I did that was a few days ago. Staples was selling a particular flash drive for nearly $26.00, Walmart had the exact same flash drive for under $12.00 . I called Staples and told them, asked them to price match the item, gave them the item numbers in both Staples and Walmart....exact same items.......they went about their phony crap, putting me on hold to check with the price match department. Five minutes later the woman comes back on the line and what does she say...."Oh I'm sorry, we have to look into that a little further, you can call us back, tomorrow..." Oh really?? Forget it, I'll buy at Walmart, which is what I did. I saved myself about $13.00 More proof of the rip-off tactics of Staples!! Also, if you are buying a computer, check, very carefully...all prices and call the manufacturer of any computer you might be interested in buying. If you want a "brand new" computer, current year model, ask the manufacturer to check the date the computer was made and put in stores for sale. I have done that recently. The computer I just bought was manufactured in early 2016, verified by the manufacturer. This....is 8 months into 2017. That computer is already more than a year old. I read several reviews about another computer, lower priced one, selling as "new" at Staples. The person who wrote the review, dated November of 2015...said he purchased the computer in July of 2015. More than 2 years ago. That computer is sold today, August/2017, as "new" in Staples with the "new" price tag! When I asked someone at Staples about this I was told...."if it hasn't been refurbished, if it's in a sealed carton and if we haven't heard from HP that it's been discontinued, we can sell it as "new". The only way a store can be held responsible for it's actions is for people, the consumers, to PAY ATTENTION, take the time to check prices, manufacture dates and statements, such as "WE PRICE MATCH!" and hold them to it.......OR WALK OUT AND BUY ELSEWHERE!! read more
