I have found that of all the office supply places in Boulder, this one has become my favorite. I find so many things, so easily. It is well laid out and well labeled in the aisles. There are always staff members around to help. Their rewards program can reduce the cost of an item, today by half for a specialized cable. The points I have earned made it a very good deal. I also love that they are the most efficient and welcoming to recycling items. From old printers to batteries, I have removed outdated and non working equipment without resorting to either landfill or paying to recycle at our county facility of last resort. The staff is always gracious and well informed. Parking is simple in an ample free lot. In Boulder, this is a real bonus. And my newest printer last spring has turned out to be the best amount of features for the price of any of those in the past. They were very late with my printing project, and had a long line of people they couldn't help in an effective way. The clerk gave me a huge discount because of this, but mostly because I offered to finish the paper cutting myself, which probably will take me 3 hours, total to cut and collate. They had machines down for repair, so maybe it's not always like that. read more

As a traveler, I popped int the Boulder Staples and for a brief moment...I felt like I was home. Since I run a charity for at-risk youth, I'm always in Staples and I'm a big, big fan. My son is moving to Boulder for college and we didn't have the luxury of time to "pick up in 24 hours" to get a chair assembled. (Got to get that rental car back on time!) The manager was super accommodating and we were out the door with the new chair in less than an hour. I love Staples. read more

So I went into the store with my boss to purchase a label printer, the staff was very friendly and helpful! Got the items home and finally after getting kids to bed was able to open the printer to try it out, and the box was empty!!!! I wasn't aware that I had to check the box before I left. I am very disappointed, as I was given a great deal on these for fundraising for a nonprofit organization. The store is now closed, and I will call in the morning. I came in a pinch to print music for a concert when my home printer was malfunctioning. Completely worthless printing services. First, the print-from-email machine makes you authorize a preliminary $5.00 card charge which supposedly isn't actually charged. Then the machine takes 5 minutes to process each step (loading emailed document, calculating cost, printing options, etc.). After selecting double sided and waiting another 5 minutes for the machine to print, the document came out half single-sided and half-double sided, with the double sided portion printed UPSIDE DOWN on the backside. Asked for a refund and left after having wasted 20-25 minutes, and left without the music I needed. It honestly would have been faster to just buy a new printer for my home from target. read more

I've been in many staples in my career and what always strikes me as odd is that this location is ALWAYS busy, no matter when I stop in. The staff is super nice and they always help me when I need it. I like that this store is located near major streets and has it's own parking lot. Great place. read more

I go to Staples a lot for my job. Most of the time the staff are very friendly and helpful. There's one woman who I think is the manager who goes out of her way to help people, whose name is Shavonda, I think. (I'm just trying to remember what I saw on her name tag, I could be wrong) Anyway, she's very courteous and knowledgeable, which is greatly appreciated. I give this a 4-star rating because at times I've had people wait on me who could be trained better. It once took almost 30 mins for a simple exchange because the person doing the exchange seemed baffled at how to do it correctly. I actually had to explain to him what he needed to do, which was a bit uncomfortable. Hopefully he was new and still in training... read more

We called and they had already begun printing. In an act of generosity, they refunded our original order which allowed us to reorder with no typo! This is my worst shopping experience in my life. I ordered this item on 4/23 and it said I can pick up this item in store on 4/27. When I placed the order, the item was still available. However, on 4/26 morning, I received an message and it said this item was no longer available and the order was canceled. The most funny thing is that at that time when I checked this item online, it still showed that this item was available but my order is canceled anyway. So I went to other retailer store and brought one. But things does not end. I received another email on 4/28 and it said my order was ready to pick up. So I have to went to the store and check if they really sent me this order. I did find a package in the store with my name. Ridiculous things happened again. The package was empty!!! Staples sent me my order with an empty box and notified me that my order is ready to pick up!! How funny it is!! I have nothing else to do but just called the staple and made sure that they don't charge my card. I must say this is the most funny and ridiculous shopping experience in my life. I had a quick copy job, and they took 10 - 15 minutes to discuss how it might best be done. They seemed nice and knowledgeable, but after deciding to go ahead with their suggestion they told me that they were so backed up it would be a day or so till they could get to my job. I just wish I knew this upfront so that they wouldn't have wasted their time and mine when I knew I had to get this done within the next few hours. read more

Don't go for ink! I went in looking for black ink for my printer. I needed to print a document within the next couple of days. The guy who helped me said they only carried the combination pack of black and colored. He said I could order the black ink and pick it up in 2 days. The ink was in store ready for pick up by Tuesday afternoon. I paid just under $50 for it. When I went to put in the ink, I realized he had ordered me colored!!! I had to return it. LUCKILY, OFFICE DEPOT was just down the street. After returning the colored ink, Office Depot had just the black ink available AND for CHEAPER! Thank you Office Depot. NEVER going to Staples again. The employees there apparently don't listen. read more

I went to Staples to have some large poster-size schedules printed out. I was under the impression they would be ready at a certain time, but they were not. I take responsibility for not providing an easy file to work with and that first Staples rep. didn't seem to see the issue to the end. My return visit I worked with Tony S. I'm really just kind of shocked by my experience at this store on 3/8/17 around 430p.m. I went into the store to print some materials for a class I'm taking. Last semester I brought a thumb drive with me to the Longmont store and had a super lovely sales associate help me. The total for the document was $26 for 180+ pgs.. Yesterday I had to pull the docs off my email and print them myself and it cost me over $100 for fewer pages than last month in Longmont. How does this make any sense? I attempted to ask a gentleman at the counter for an explanation and he totally blew me off and acted like me spending a bill there did not warrant any sort of kindness. Thankfully Paige helped me and she was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. This other gentleman was rude to every person he spoke to. (Somewhat short, grey/ white hair and some sort of Jersey accent.) Paige did help me to print several extra pages since I "went beyond my spending limit" at the self-service computer, but I'm still just boggled about how this small document cost me 4 times as much printing it myself in Boulder rather than having it printed in Longmont. I will not go back to this Staples. Paige, you should transfer to the Longmont store where people are nice and friendly, you'd fit in there. read more

Don't be fooled by the two dollar return offer on used printer cartridges. They only give you points on your club membership. Also, to take advantage of those you need to spend $30 a month on cartridges. Not at all made clear on their website and not as advertised. read more

Kinda stuck between 2-3 star review of Staples service. I found an associate and asked about iPhone screen protectors. The associate showed me where to look and then return to show me the "liquid armor" and declared it the best protection option. It is packaged and displayed along with all the other screen protectors. NEVER did he mention that it was a PERMANENT screen protector. Only after it was applied and I inquired on how to remove it in the future was it then revealed that it is not removable. It is obviously a product the sale associates get credit for selling since I was asked who helped me with the item. Ugh! Staples, if your are going to tell you sales associates to push the liquid armor then please make sure that they tell your customers that the liquid armor screen protector is a permanent solution. I am very disappointed in myself for not asking more questions about the product before I agreed to try it. read more
