In past 7 years living close to this store, i have entered few times once to buy a safe and another to do an Amazon return. Now that my daughter is about to start Kindergarten I see the value and benefit of this staples. We walked in to get her school supplies, and most of the items were lined up for us in discount stalls. We found good quality pencils, markers, crayons, notebooks, erasers, glue sticks, folders and all other the things we were looking for. The store is huge. Other than back to school items, they have so many more things related to home and office needs. Some to mention are printing supplies, office chairs, bags, smart home tech, monitors, landline phones. They do photo passport, printing, copy, shipping and reruns. I got my save the dates for my wedding here. At first, they came out too dark and they printed me some samples until it came out just right. The young lady and gentleman were so helpful and quick, we came and left within 10 minutes with our new cards. It really was so easy and stress free. PROS: This Staples is believe it or not bigger than the average Staples store. Nice size inventory and always stocked full. Parking lot is good size for a stand alone store and the staff has always been nice there. CONS: The place is located on an intersection making it difficult to exit, however I won't let that effect the rating OVERALL: This is definitely a place where I'd come to get my office supplies since they're always stocked and have a great selection. The last two time the l have been there has been very bad experience l place my order l should've known it was going to be a problem when she couldn't spell my name . We past that point we went over exactly what l need and how l want it to look like , never received the work like that, l went to place another they were three employees inside l stood by the register for a good 10 minutes not even a hello we be right with you , or we are little behind nothing l made eye contact with two of the employees and still nothing my order was over $345.00 l can not recall where on this date and age your let customer walk out or at the very least say hello. This has to be the most unfriendly staples I have ever been too. I ordered online for in-store pick up and it was promptly ready. A women with long brown hair was on her phone and didn't know I was there. I gave her a few moments incase she was busy. Finally I knocked on the counter to get her attention. She turns around and says what do you need help with? I told her I have a order for pick up. Told her my name and showed my iD. She comes back places the item with receipt on the counter (no bag) turns around and says have a good one.. and back to her phone. Nasty Attitude! read more

I went here to have some items printed for my daughters birthday party. The gentleman in copy and print department ALONE by himself is a great asset to your company. There is about 3-4 cashiers here and then one guy in the most busy area of the store. Copy and print. While he does a great job, let's people know he will be with them in 10-15 minutes, walks people through the process of how to complete what they want done and Also responds to phone calls incoming while he helps others- he needs help. I am un sure why staples does not have a cashier trained in copy and print to assist this guy. You need someone in copy and print to help this man or he's going to not be able to do as good of a job helping people because it's a busy department. While maybe him being the manager (guessing) of this department, perhaps you can get someone from cashier department cross trained to help him. There was at least 3-4 other people in this area when I came and most of them were older people with little to no knowledge on using machines and this guy was supposed to assist each of them, answer the calls coming in asking questions AND cater to people in line waiting. Luckily I am pretty tech savvy and was able to do it on my own but not everyone is. Great location but you need another person in that department- plain and simple. read more

I think his name was Mark, the manager, aske dif I had it with me and I did. He went to the car and carried it out and fixed it, Then he carried it back. If I could give NEGATIVE stars I would. The WORST. SECOND time my BUSINESS tried to use this Staples to print promo cards for important shipments to clients. TOTAL fail. Incompetence combined with understaffing. Each time, cards were late, done poorly, and person working didn't know what they were doing. Un-freaking- believable. I feel bad blasting the poor people behind the counter - it's not their fault if they are undertrained and overwhelmed. But really, the store should just pull printing from their list of services, because they don't offer anything but aggravation and costing us money and reputation. All we wanted was a filing cabinet. We knew from recent experience going to the office supply stores in the area that just because a place has a specific filing cabinet on display doesn't mean they have it in stock. So, Staples offers the option of finding the product you want online and reserving it in a specific Staples location. We selected a filing cabinet at Staples' website and reserved it at this Bergenfield location (hardly any others offered it). We provided contact information on the reservation form so they could contact us if there was a problem with our order. And then we received an email telling us our filing cabinet was ready for pickup. Hooray! We even received a reminder email at 3:00 this morning telling us that we need to pick it up today or we'll lose the reservation. Yes! So this morning we made the 20-minute drive to this Staples location, excited to get the filing cabinet we wanted. I mean we were really pretty excited about it; we have A LOT of filing to do. We'd printed out the email that confirmed our reservation and brought it to a costumer service representative. She went back to retrieve our item, and we waited. We waited for several minutes. She came back up front and sent another customer service representative to go back and look for it, and we waited for several more minutes. It seemed to be taking a really long time, but hey. I'm a patient person. But then this happened: after driving 20 minutes to this place and waiting around 10 minutes for them to retrieve the item, the employee comes back only to inform us that they didn't have it. Earlier, they'd found that it was damaged and had to send it back to the manufacturer. So I'm like "OK....", wondering why no one called to tell us this, and I tried to come up with a solution, mentioning that I saw they had the same filing cabinet on display, could we just buy that one? No, we could not. They aren't allowed to sell the display models. He presented us with two options: 1) they could order this cabinet and then we could drive all the way back to the store to pick it up, and 2) they could have it shipped to our apartment in a few days. Shipping would be free IF we have a Staples rewards card, which we don't, and yeah, I really don't want one after this experience. We explained that we'd driven pretty far to get this thing and don't want to drive back again for it, and he didn't seem to even understand why this was a problem. Neither employee offered an apology, not even a discount or coupon or anything. Mind you, I didn't yell or get overtly mad or anything. I was just confused about how this even happened and bewildered that they obviously didn't care at all. Why even offer the reservation service if this is the kind of service you get? I just spent an hour and a half here. I ordered a poster and did not receive a call that there was an issue with it. I tried to be patient but the employees were inattentive and I had to chase them all around the store. I did get $10 off (promotion) after waiting an hour and a half, but they should have offered a solution or given me a free poster since they did were not able to help me. They really don't care about your time and are unhelpful. (It was my third time at this store this week, and the employees on the other days were helpful.) read more

Had a negative shopping experience with them recently... They did not completely honor the coupon as they ran out the give-away on the 2nd day of the coupon promotion! The store employees must be taking them home. I tried to ask therm to provide the give away when it became available but I was turned down. Everyone I met with and spoke with on the phone was nothing but pleasant. I had serious problems with my order and ended up having to go into the store 3-4x (can't even remember at this point) for 45min or more each time. Everyone was helpful, and I do mean everyone (Print & Copy Center employees plus the Store Manager). But Sana exceeded any and all expectation. She went above and beyond her role to fix the issues with my file. It should have been the designer on my end, but she figured out how to do it and had it ready just in time, and even offered a discount for my troubles (approved by the Manager of course). I've been to a ton of Staples Copy & Print Centers, but this one certainly stands out to be, especially Sana. I just had the best experience with printing at Staples! A few months back I had to print a few things and mail something and the person at the counter was unfriendly, unbothered and not very open to helping. I was planning on bringing my business elsewhere but decided to give it another shot because I understand people can have bad days. Today I had ADAM help me and he was great! Horrible customer service, I was waiting for help the manager was on her phone, I asked if there was anyone on the floor who could help me. She was texting with the phone on her hands and screamed from the other side FOR WHAT ? I had to scream back instead of her walking over to speak to me as a normal customer. They did not either answer yes someone can help you or no they just looked around aimlessly. I was told someone called out so I would have to wait 10 mns so that someone could help me pick out an ether cable. I had 3 documents that I needed to print on three consecutive days. OK, day one; new do-it-yourself printer wouldn't print my page from my USB....employee printed it from the computer behind the desk. Day 2; I try the do-it-yourself printer, no better luck...employee prints my page. Day 3; I arrive before opening time 9a, expecting no better luck with the do-it-yourself machines and I was right tried 2 machines, won't print. So I ask the employee to print for me because i have an appointment in the city and I can't try all the do-it-yourself machines....he asks if I am saving from a MAC, well you I did, he advises their machines won't print from a MAC. Well this is day 3 and where is the sign, so MAC users don't have to waste 20 mins: NO SIGN. I give him my jump drive and I'm waiting between 5-10 for his computer to boot-up but I have to go, so I suggest that if they KNOW it takes 20 mins for their computers to boot up someone should come in prior to 9am start time and turn them on, really!!! Ordered something on Staples.com for one hour pickup at 4pm yesterday. Never got a confirmation email. Two hours later still no email so I call Staples. They don't see the order. Placed the order again. Still no email. Called corporate Staples and they don't see anything. Tell me it's probably a glitch. The order didn't go through. Just come to the store to buy. Wake up this morning to find that 13 hours later I get an confirmation email. For both orders. So much for one hour pick up. Get to the store and the guy tells me that they will cancel the one order and that I have not been charged yet until I sign. Too bad when I check my bank account I'm still being charged for both. And now my Netflix account is on hold because they charged me twice and now I can't watch Grey's Anatomy. Not happy. Staff is great. But what's the point of offering a 1 hour pick up when it took 13 hours to get an email and 15 hours to have my order ready. And say you're not charged until you sign but I was charged before I even got to the store. read more

this store is terrible - i bought a shredder here and within 2 months the shredder did not work. i brought it back and they said they would not replace it or give me a credit. i called the manufacturer who had a 1 year warranty and they too refused to help i think i learned my lesson and will shop elsewhere with better customer service and better products read more
