Customer service. What ever happened to "the customer is always right?" Better yet, what's happened to maturity? There isn't any. Service agent was fine. Did her best. Tried to apply a discount. Had to print additional copies to get the discount. Ended up costing more. Removed the discount, asked for the additional copies back which I was happy to return. Daisy, the manager, admitted that they were only going to throw the extra copies away. A mature person would have said "keep the extra copies." Instead she decided to pick an argument with me. came here for lamination and heard some discussion among the staff (~ 5 people) there's only one customer ahead of me. i was literally waiting (and watching others who were still talking among themselves). one girl (with pimple on her left face) finally came to the register after 5 minutes and gave me a quote $2.50 for lamination without explanation. per her, price is uniform regardless of size even I saw multiple prices (based on the thickness). I didn't want to argue with her and just paid. when i came home, i saw another express service?!? Associates here only talk among themselves. When it comes to prices, they care less. I would like to be eligible as a low risk traveler to enjoy an expedited security screening through the airport. The process is: I applied and filled the form on-line, then was scheduled for interview and payment (which is what we did in this Staples store), and then I received my Known Traveler Number (KTN) through e-mail. The interview and the payment process at this TSA pre-check location was quick and easy, staff was friendly and efficient. I came to this location last week and I was going to write my review sooner however I got distracted not distracted enough to forget though cuz the people at this location need training!!!! I was online for printing for maybe 10 minutes I told the young woman there I wanted to print out cards and labels she first told me to email my images and we go from there I did so quickly and she then told me I had to pick the labels before so I went to get them printed so I went off the line and went to get my labels.. After a while of searching I picked out my labels and went back on line to get them printed. So now 15 minutes later I was called up and now I had labels ok so I told them I was printing they needed me to email I did then another employee came and told me I had to visit a site first make my labels send that over and then I could print. OKAY so I did so I made my labels blah blah got it done printed and sent over! IVE ACCOMPLISHED SOMETHING so I thought... moments later the same young lady that had me email everything over again, send all my stuff, get labels wait all this time told me the printer isn't working and I could come back another day! After all of that!!!!!! I think I was so shocked I just walked away I walked away with nothing after being in the store the entire time being told to go here so this do that and leave with nothing except plain labels that I had to purchase because the worker opened the package and I couldn't leave it now could I???? A package was dropped off here on Monday at 6 PM. This item was a UPS package that was supposed to be shipped to GOAT. Undoubtedly this box is either stolen or misplaced. The tracking is instant and no information has populated on the UPS website or event the GOAT application. My order just got canceled because there is no tracking info or even in the system and my shoe order is lost. DO NOT DROP your package here because it will disappear. I was on hold with Larry and was going to be redirected to another department. No one took my contact information down but just pushed me over to the next person at Staples to handle his catastrophe. Hold times are so long I called twice. I waited to talk with UPS and the manager directed me to Staples because they are at fault for the late delivery. All those Amazon UPS items you're too lazy to return, bring them here. Ever since I ran out of printer ink years ago and printers have become obsolete in my household, I've just been printing things at work. However, due to working from home after COVID-19, I no longer have that luxury. So for the times that I do need to print things, I find myself going to Staples.There's a large parking long and they practice social distancing with mandatory masks requirement. They have quite a few self-service copy machines/printers in their printing station so you can print what you need, pay via credit card, and be in and out of the store without having contact with anyone. read more

Once again, the staff at Staples did a great job for me, getting my annual Christmas letter printed. Jessica started by printing me up a sample on photo paper. Since I incorporated photos I had taken in this year's letter, she was absolutely right, the photos popped off the page. Albert finished with me after I proofed the sample & gave it the green light. These two young folks were friendly, courteous and helpful, something (sadly) you rarely experience at chain stores these days. I was just in this store trying to print out my child's homework. The kids running the copy center seemed to be quite disorganized. I waited for a while, I called out when someone in the line cut me and the girl behind the counter dismissed me like she'd get to me when she'd get to me. Customer service here is awful. This location is readily accessible for me by car and public transportation. There is a big parking lot and I never have trouble finding a spot so that is a big plus. The products have a fair price but I always find myself perusing through the clearance section looking for an extra camera bag or hdmi cables lol. I seem to always want to stop off at staples to pick up randomness like print head, printer ink, pens, or a ream of paper. The staff is friendly and helpful. Like most stores in this franchise, nearly everything they sell is overpriced, and can be purchased from Target or Walmart for far less money. Customer service at this location is hit or miss. When good it's very good. When awful, oof, it's AWFUL, and unfortunately, that's more often than not. In one example, I bought a chair. I declined the protection. I went back the next day, and was willing to return the chair and buy it again with the protection. I was told no no no, no worries, just buy the plan and all will be linked up. LIES. Not only was the plan not linked, it was not associated with my Staples account, unlike the chair, which was. So I had no way of looking up the purchase online, even though I was told that it would be associated with my account like everything else tied to my card and email address. I tried to find info about my plan at the Staples store and it took hours of searching to find a record of my purchase, and then more time with Square Trade to get my plan activated. I was also promised a $20 voucher (by a member of this store) for my troubles - there were other issues. NEVER RECEIVED. Recently I purchased a refurbished laptop from Staples online to be delivered to the store. When it arrived nobody had any idea of what I was talking about when I wanted to get it, even though tracking info show it was signed for. Then when I got it the laptop didn't work. As in I have been through two laptops that were both sent back. Its November. I ordered this laptop in August. I still do not have anything to work with. OH, and don't forget that you have two weeks and only two weeks in which you can return or exchange a laptop. This Staples store has taken that to mean that the time it takes an online order to be fulfilled, from shipping to pickup, counts in those 15 days - even if most of that time is shipment time. And lastly, if you need to send your defective laptop back, AND YOU WILL, they refuse to accept Fedex shipments to go, even when returning defective merch they sold, so be prepared to schlep to Great Neck cuz there isn't an official Fed-Ex drop off in this area, unless you trust the shady ship all places on Northern Blvd that refuse to give a receipt for items you leave for shipment. read more

An average Staples location - nothing terrible or wonderful about it. Can be hectic during peak traffic times and the narrow aisles can make navigating the store more challenging. The staff are helpful and pleasant, all in all. Not the largest selection of electronics but there is enough to meet most office needs. Overall organization and neatness could be improved. You'll find some great deals in the aisles on almost every visit, making impulse purchases more likely. Nice sized parking is a huge asset. Easy access from main roads and highway make getting here a breeze (although Northern Blvd. can be busy much of the time). read more

Came here because I had to print something. I made sure to come 45 minutes earlier to print a pdf. I went to the printers they had and for half the time tried to send my file via email which of course doesn't work every time. Then I uploaded my file to google drive and print it. Of course it rejects me everytime after. I tried to get in touch with customer service but all the reps take extremely long with a customer. In the end I couldn't print it and Staples completely wasted my time. read more

Staples - brilliantly named office supply store that has everything you could possibly need to get your business on Conveniently located off northern blvd near my office. Inside looks old, but who cares since I don't come here to admire the interior decor - this ain't love it or list it my friend This time I was coming to pickup two things: a desk calendar and post it notes. Very limited selection of desktop calendars to choose from since the animal crowd already ravaged through the inventory - so I got one with flowers, lovely flowers. Whatever, it'll have to do. One suggestion would be to make this scratch and sniff, so I can be mesmerized by the sweet fragrances of daffodils while I'm inside the office (yeah right) The second item on the shopping list was postit notes - now, how much could these possibly cost? Given 3M basically has a monopoly on these things and staples is a physical store, the answer is simple: too much. I think a pack of 8 was 24$!!!! But I needed them and got them. The weird thing with this location is the paying area - right in front of the ink/recyclable stuff. There are lanes of cash registers ready to use but instead, customers congregate with confusion in the center of the store...everyone just in my way and it's annoying. I learned a valuable lesson today: ALWAYS CHECK AMAZON BEFORE COMIING TO STAPLES AMD I WILL PROBABLY SAVE 50%! AND SAVE TIME WITH FREE TWO DAY SHIPPING/HANDLING SINCE I AM A PRIME MEMBER. I walked in on a Sunday afternoon, the store was very slow. Probably a Staples worker for every customer in the store. I stood on line to get a sheet of paper laminated and a friendly worker told me to wait one second. It's been 20 minutes and I'm writing this review as I wait for him. Staples is a great place for all the office supplies of your heart's desires, but I have beef that they changed the printer ink cartridge policy. Before, if you brought in an empty cartridge, they'd give you a coupon for $3. Now, they make you sign up for one of their rewards cards and you can't redeem your credit right away. Also, one time, I went to their copy center to get some copies done and guess what? They refused because they had run out of PAPER. What the crap?! read more

Which I was unhappy was the price they charged was way too much compare to some other small business. I would recommend you if you want to copy, print, scan something. I'd like to just take this time to note something that I witnessed yesterday. I was waiting in line to check out and there was an elderly man in front of me with a cashier named Ashley. He was having a hard time with the credit card machine and told Ashley the cashier that it wasn't working. She rolled her eyes and told him to "press harder". He proceeded to say that it still wasn't working and again she said "PRESS HARDER!". Meanwhile this cashier was chatting away with another worker who was standing next to her. I would've gladly went up to help this man but I was in shock of the kind of customer service I was witnessing that I was at a loss of words.
