You can get glasses anywhere, but you would be hard pressed to find better customer satisfaction than you will at Stanton. Clinton - the store manager, is the best. He goes beyond to make sure you get the best product, in a timely manner. Sabrina is a gem. She is patient and throrough. This store has improved by leaps and bounds over the last year. The staff has expanded, the doctors have gotten better and they even have a lab for same day service. For glasses, contacts or even shades, you won't find a better deal, better selection or better price anywhere. I've been having issues lately with my new prescription glasses from Stanton optical. After 3-4 months of different doctors opinions and re-evaluations to correct the issue I was having with my new lenses, I went in just wanting a refund and was honestly over it. That was until the Manager Justin helped me out. This guy went absolutely above and beyond to make sure I did not leave a dissatisfied customer. Not only did he correct the problem I was having with my new lenses but he made absolutely sure the new prescription he was ordering me was going to work out to save me another trip back into their office. Justin knows exactly what he's talking about, he's extremely professional, and isn't just another salesman trying to get you to spend money. He genuinely helped me out and I couldn't be more satisfied with his service. I can honestly say Justin is a huge reason why I'd consider coming back to Stanton optical at the Mooney location. Normally I do not write reviews on any business unless it is positive. I understand that everyone has a bad day but this place takes the cake. First, the Dr. gives me the wrong prescription, then when I go back for follow up they do not have me on the schedule so I have to wait. The new Dr. fixed my prescription but the girls never took the original prescription out of the system so I get the wrong prescription. I call them but the girl that answer was in a bad mood and was rude. I call the corporate office to fix the issue and they assure me that it will get taken care of immediately. Long story short, it took 7 phone calls and 6 weeks later to get my prescription. I will never go back to this place. By the way, the only break I got was 20% discount because I took my own frames and got contact lenses. read more

Scheduled an appointment for 12pm and arrived 10 minutes early. At almost 1pm still waiting. I had to reschedule so that I wouldn't be late for work. There was not one person that had been called in the entire period. I am here today after calling and scheduling a contact exam for 1:30pm and told that they don't do contact exams on Sunday. I was dropped off and now sitting outside in the heat waiting for a ride home due to their scheduling area. Bad enough the glasses I have are not working as they should and primarily because the prescription is wrong. I received these glasses from here a few months back which was a whole other complaint. Loved my experience! Cindy was wonderful. As soon as I walked in she greeted and introduced herself with a smile. Just walking into the store u see hundreds of glasses every where which was a little overwhelming and Cindy was very patient and helpful in finding me the right frames! I waited about an hour with an appointment to see the eye doctor. The eye doctor was very thorough and very nice, despite how busy she was with all the people waiting. Stanton Optical is the most incompetent and unprofessional eyeglass company I have ever been to. What was supposed to be a free eye exam and buy one/get one frames, turned in to $345.00 for 2 pair of eyeglasses that are WORTHLESS! My eye exam was done by video conference without asking a single question about my vision history. I was given a prescription (after my questionable exam was done) and I selected 2 pairs of frames for them to make my new eyeglasses. When I picked up my glasses, only one pair was ready because, according to one of the employees, the lab machine was broke and the lab manager quit and there was chaos. When I tried the pair on, I COULD NOT SEE the wall in front of me! I told the girl I couldn't see out of them and she said, "oh, let me clean them for you. Now they're perfect." I must look like an idiot. NOPE! They were still the same - I couldn't see out of them. WRONG PRESCRIPTION! The manager, Edgar Negrete, said they would do a re-check exam. At that point I was not trusting them to make my lenses so I asked for a refund. Mr. Negrete said, "No. I am not giving you a refund. It is company policy." Against my better judgment, but to give them the chance to make it right, I went ahead and went back 2 days later for a "re-check exam." They gave me a different prescription than the one they just gave me 2 days earlier and made 2 different prescription eyeglasses! When I complained to the manager, Mr. Negrete, and told him these are two different prescriptions, he told me "Go home, go to sleep and when you wake up in the morning, they will be perfect." This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. I told him I wanted a refund and he said, "No, I am not giving you a refund. This is company policy." I asked him for a copy of the 'company policy' and he gave me a flyer that says if you are not completely satisfied, they will issue you a refund. When I read this company policy to Mr. Negrete, he said, "I am not giving you a refund." I asked him for his boss's name and he said I am not giving it to you. ?!?!?! He insisted that I wear these eyeglasses and that I would get used to them. I told him if I wear these eyeglasses out of here and get in my car and drive out of your parking lot, I will get in a wreck because I CANNOT SEE out of them. He just shrugged his shoulders. I am prepared to sue Stanton Optical for not only giving my the WRONG PRESCRIPTION two times, but for the manager Edgar Negrete insisting that I wear lenses that will cause my eyes more damage. My prescription did cost more then others, but Ms.Delia helped me save money on both pairs of my glasses. She even offered me a way to pay for my glasses in payments. Omg ! What great service I was thinking I needed glasses so I signed up at work and when I was ready I made calls to office within my network. I got nothing but "no new patients" to waiting weeks or months for appointment. I walked into Stanton and meet Julianna. From the start she was very helpful and she wasn't sure about getting exam that day but she talked to doctor staff and was able to get me appointment later that day. Before I left she got my insurance info so it would be ready when I returned I ended having to call my insurance company because Stanton was out of network and they insisted I use a doctor within the network and after I explained that it would take weeks or months to get appointment it didn't seem to matter to my insurance provider so I kept appointment with staton. When I returned I explained the situation with my insurance and Juliana immediately started working on it . So after the exam it turned out i needed glasses and Juliana with care and understanding started explaining my options and I did get two pair of glasses at a GREAT PRICE ;) she went above and beyond my expectations by having my glasses ready that evening even though they were minutes away from closing after our conversation I was so impressed with her service thank you Juliana when I put my glasses on for the first time all I could say was WOW I couldn't believe what I was missing I could see the outside world so clear more than I could imaging. I have my usual optometrist, but was in a pinch due to my normal optometrist being on vacation. I went in and the staff seemed friendly. I notified them that I was in for contact exam, immediately they began up selling me a brand I did not use or care to know about... I told them I wear AVO and only want my Rx for AVO. Turned out the optometrists still wrote me the RX for the other brand. After my exam Stanton optical attempted to state they could not release my Rx unless I purchased something from them. WHICH IS A LIE, and ILLEGAL. They must release your RX to you. Anyways. He no longer is at that office. I returned for them to fix the error and the "assistant manager" Delia Ramos told me I would need to pay for another exam due to the optometrist no longer being there, and there is nothing else they can do for me... currently waiting for corporate to get back to me... I answered her questions she then told me that she would have to reschedule and pointed at another couple and said they have appointments at 6:00 and 6:30 and are still waiting. I told her I drove an hour and she said I could get an appointment for next day. I told her out of courtesy she should have called me instead of having me drive an hour. No apology no concern, what horrible service, they can afford to offer cheap prices because you get nothing. I finally discovered that there was a sign in sheet so I put down my name. I overhead the optician ask a man if he has been helped. The customer responded they have been waiting. He then asked the customer if he was given the paperwork to complete and he responded no. The optician then informed him it would be about a half hour wait. I went over to the sign in sheet, crossed my name off in front of the optician and walked out. He never said a word to me. On 6/15/18 I went into you location in Visalia, Ca and placed an order for glasses. Was told at the time it would take two weeks to complete them. After two weeks I tried to call the location and was sent to a customer service line and after this person called the location for me was informed that the glasses were cut incorrectly and would not be completed. I waited until after 6 pm and finally went into the location to find out what had happened. During this entire day no one from the location called to let me know there was an issue and what was being done to correct it. Once I arrived at the location was finally told about the issue and when I asked why I was not called the answer I got was that I was correct and the lab manager should have called me. So I was informed that they would have to reorder a new pair of lenses which had not been done as of the time I came in which I would have assumed would have been done when the lenses were ruined and that it was going to take another two weeks for those lenses to come in. When I asked if there was any way to expedite the process since it was their mistake I was informed that there was not. I understand that the lenses needed to be made, what I find hard to believe that there is no way to speed up a particular order and have it shipped overnight to the location to be cut. In the meantime nothing was done to make the situation right or to provide any assistance to me. I then proceeded to wait another two weeks for my glasses and once again I went into the location to pick them up and was informed that they made the same mistake again and once again no one from the location bothered to inform me of the issue. When I asked the store manager why was I not informed about this a second time. Once again I got the same sorry excuse of yes of course you should have been notified and I don't know why my lab manager did not contact you. I would have assumed that this would have been resolved and a discussion with the lab manager after the first time but I guess it was not addressed. Once again I was informed that it would take two weeks to get the lenses and once again there was no way to overnight the lenses or speed up the process. So once again no effort was done to fix the situation or correct it. I then proceeded to ask for a refund and cancel my order. My out of pocket money was refunded but I was informed that it was going to take 3 weeks to have a reversal done to my insurance company VSP. Which I found pretty hard to believe since it looks like it took less than 24 hours for VSP to pay your company. After I left the store I contacted your customer service line to see if there was any way to speed up the process and was informed that no there was not and I was at the mercy of the insurance department. When I asked for a contact number for a district manager or someone to lodge my complaint to, I was told that there was none. Which again I find hard to believe that there was no one I could talk to or lodge a complaint with. Once again I was left with the impression that no one in your company cares about my situation that your company created or basically could care less. I then proceeded to wait three weeks for your company to process a simple insurance reversal and on 8/10/18 I checked with VSP and nothing had been taken care of by your company. Once again I went down to the store location to find out what is going on, and was told that they had no idea that it should have been taken care of on the date of the email that was sent and they would send another email. Was not given any time line on when it would be corrected but the impression I was given based on the my past history of dealing with your customer service was to expect another three weeks. When I asked the store to call the insurance department to expedite the process was told there was no phone number and all they could do was email them. I find that very difficult to believe that if there are any insurance issues at the store there is no way to contact someone. When I once again asked if there was a district manager or anyone above the local level that would have a number to call and expedite the process was once again informed that there is not. I also find this extremely difficult to believe that there is no one that the local store can call to deal with customer issues. If that is the case the chain of command in your company has a lot to desire. What if find extremely difficult is that your insurance department can process a claim for your company to be paid in what looks like less than 24 hours, but it looks like it is going to take over 3 weeks to process a reimbursement for an issue your company created. In conclusion I feel that the level of customer service provided by your company is truly pathetic. The length of time to get things done is truly pathetic. If I could give a negative star I would! I have never taken the time to write a review about a business, but this place is by far the worst business I have ever come across! I ordered glasses and was told by the girl I would have them within the week(only if I got them that day) so I bought them. Almost 2 MONTHS and many problems later; still waiting to receive them. Took a month to receive the first time and the lens were messed up. Now working on finishing month two (been 3 weeks on top of the previous month) and apparently they are "on their way". Not to mention after the first screw up I was told they would be made priority and I would get them back quickly. A true disappointment all together. I will be making sure to tell every person I know (in person and social network) to stand clear of this horribly ran business! I would recommend anyone needing glasses stay away from this place. I have worn glasses for the last six years, and this place has been the worst. My issue with Stanton is this: My glasses did not work as needed, I got progressive lenses, but for reading, computer- they were worse than if I wore nothing. But here is where I feel they are unethical in their business practice. When I went to return for a refund, they said due to the fact that it is a "medical device", it has to be returned within 30 days, from purchase, not pick up, so subtract 1-2 weeks from that depending on how quickly they are ready. No one said anything about the 30 day policy- no sign in the store, nothing on the receipt, nowhere. Their manager would not do anything (I went back like 50 days later with the new glasses still in the case with my paperwork). This place is unethical in their business and advertising practices...Stay away your money is better spent at a real optometrist . read more

Don't walk into this place thinking you are going to get two pairs of glasses for $69 as stated in their ads. By the time I had my exam and chose my glasses they wanted to charge me a little more than $260! When I confronted the woman helping me about the ad and why is the price nothing near that she said they start at that price and after all the ad ons it ended up at the 260. When I told her to remove any special add ons, that I must mention she added on without asking me, and giving me a "special discount" that the lowest she can get it down to was $100+. So I ended up just paying it because I needed new glasses. I discovered later that she kept the charge for the "free" exam which they bill you for before you even have the exam, guess they've had people walk out on their ridiculous prices and need to be sure the optometrist is payed before that can happen. Horrible service from stanton optical. Stanton made my wifes glasses approximately 4-5 times plus gave an extra pair to my wife but if the prescription isnt right you still cant see. Most of the staff put up a good front and make promises they do not intend to live up to. I also had to have my glasses remade only to be totally unsatisfied. Do yourself a favor and dont do business with this so fast paced business that cannot fullfill customer expectations. While the customer service was acceptable, the ads that flashed accross the banners in office and the actual cost of the purchase where mis-leading. One pair would have cost $457.00 and I did get two for price of one. I had coupons for the ads that were flashing, however, when I heard the offer being quoted to another customer without a coupon, I saw no reason to use them as the offer was standard. Two complete pairs of no line Bifocals for $189.00 the coupon says, I pay $149.00. The promotion discount on the frames was accurate, and the cost of the Transition/Gry was acceptable. The Frame selection was adequate enough for me to find the least cost vs. the best appearance, and ima so happy with the Italian Desighner Frames. Must sat they made me look like a Nerd becomes a style buff. Lenscrafter still comes in at #1 for me. I will likely go there in two years when I am allowed to change frames. Stanton is a preferred provider for VSP yet does not file claims, whereas Most others do. The ones who do bill provider cost no more for the glasses than Stanton and I could have actually saved by getting one pair, which is all I actually needed, paying less in long run and not having to do my own billing. Good Service and Good Selection, However I will stick with the straight up advertiser who does the COMPLETE service. read more

I would like to say that I never carry a purse I just carry my wallet around with me everywhere I go .
